  7. Are you the kind of guy who changes every single setting to see what it does? Are you likely to spend hours and hours and hours trying random stuff to get ExACTLY what you're trying to achieve? If yes then goto 'BUY HIGHER END CAMERA' Are you generally kind of lazy? Will you be happy with a nicer, sharper image than your point and shoot camera? Are you pretty busy with work and other junk? If yes then goto 'Buy more basic unit' If you get something in the middle it should give you enough functions to do what you want/need, with a bit of room to grow and learn and expand. A Nikon D90(what i use) or a Canon 550D would be good options if the 2nd set of questions sounds more like you, if you decide to get some more professional kit talk to Kory (FST513) he knows that end of the market better than most of us in here good luck with what ever you decide

  22. I think once you've bought as much glass as you, you're locked in. Which isn't a bad thing. I don't think either is a bad option. unless there was a massive change, and i mean massive, why would you throw away your familiarity and experience AND GLASS!!!!???? You probably wouldn't.

  24. I spent a long time looking at both, I had people tell me the pro's and con's of both, in the end it came down to which felt more natural and comfortable, and which had menu's that were quicker to go through and easier to use. I love how the nikon sits, and how i can change all my settings with one hand while still ready to shot, (massive fan of the thumb+index wheels), the nikon's a bit bigger and feels nicer to hold too. the menus are easier to flow through aswell, plus i can create my own menu's and assign buttons if/when i need to. that's pretty much how i came to my decission. Oh... and i have a lot of nikon glass at work i can borrow from time to time. which is handy
