  1. ECHO echo echo echo.....
  2. Annoy the Evil Weevel. He'd know about it. He has a thing for hair dresser cars.
  3. Yeah it was late notice, I got over there with a little bit of time. Here's a couple from the show. It's so hard to get a decent shot at a show with all the bystanders and junk in the backgrounds. Still, some nice cars there. and always good to practice some angles.
  4. Thanks for info Sid. and feedback kory! Bangaz. i set up the tripod late afternoon. took a pic during natural light for grass and sky. then waited half hour for it to get dark, and started taking long exposures painting the car contours with a little led torch. took about 20 pics all up, only used about 10 or so. Just cut and pasted the parts i liked on top of each other then shifted the colour (car was blue from torch), and touched up the background to try and make it look as if it's real. Took ages, but i know i can do it now, so i'll try it again with a clean car and decent composition in the near future
  5. Jewplayer is working fine in IE7. Did you use a package to make your site? (Blog and main part) or you made it from scratch? I'm finding it hard to do what I'm picturing for my shit little site.
  6. composite from about 15 pics. THe car is filthy, the location is bland (front yard), the composition is stale. This was more a technical excersise to see what I could do and how long it would take.
  7. I just slipped and tripped over the mess you made when you fell in love with this thread.
  8. Late notice, but there's a show on at Castle Hill RSL today. finishes at 3.
  9. And the blades of the diaphram of the lens.
  10. i wrote a whole bunch of junk that didn't make sense so i just decided it was easier to give it a 5min chop to show where i'd head with it. darken background. lighten her. let her fill more of frame. (3rds). was gonna mess with softening bg but better get back to work ;/
  11. I like the zoomy ones!
  12. Awwww shit. look whose workin it!
  13. Nice work Sidd. I'd really like to set up a room in the house as a studio eventually when it's all built. Not sure if it will actually happen, but it's on the list The top and bottom pic was taken with proper lighting. The rest were taken with a pair of speedlights. It was my first time shooting people. Much more complicated than cars hahaha
  14. Holy SHitballs! Everyone has been busy busy! All good too! Nick, where's my invite? You can't burn shit and not me around to throw random objects in the fire Nice and clean Zennon. So you used a GD to get the gradient, or was that post shot magic? I took some pics today, and not of cars ! AMAZING! Here's a couple until i can be bothered to throw some more up.
  15. I agree with kory, tone down the hdr on the car. If you've got the original pics just cut your car out and paste it over one of these. You can just adjust the tones and shadows of your car to help it blend in. the animal shots and waterfall stuff is all fantastic mate! 10/10.
  16. night light painting there.
  17. Where was this at? nice
  18. You'll need to send me where it is Sidd, looks awesome! Here's a couple pics I took of my mates beast after a game of footy. (SO SORE NOW.... NURSE?) We're gonna get together and do a proper shoot sometime soon.
  19. Not that I feel qualified to give advice on what's ultimately the best choice I do feel qualified to tell you what I think about my D90. It's awesome. It's priced well enough to help get me in the game and comes with enough features and flexibility to keep me busy and is having no trouble keeping up with me as i advance through photworld. It's build quality is great. It's heavy enough to robust and handle a few knocks, but not so heavy it's a pain to carry and use. I can't see myself wanting to replace it for quite a while. I'm glad I picked this one over the D5000. The couple extra hundred bucks was well spent I say. Anyway, good luck!
  20. I need photo guru damnnit! ;p
  21. I'm lucky in the fact that i have a couple of mid range lenses here at work i can borrow from time to time to try stuff with. All i've spent so far is the camera (D90), replaced a lens I dropped after some beers, and a nifty fifty. Building a house so I'm not in a position to spend up just yet, nor am i skilled enough to really reap the benefits from the gear yet. I wouldn't mind getting a good tele soon though.
  22. i'd be interested to see the final product of that R32 shot too. i think i need some proper light equipment.
  23. Not a fan. of most pics on the site. Am a fan. of that glass!
  24. FREE BUMP. THanks for nothing f**kwit
