  1. Nice start sidd but where ate the pics that were sure to follow this one hehe. You probably could have cleared the bench if clutter. Just depends on how much if a hurry you were in
  2. who ever is judging is going to have some hard decissions to make! enough of the group self sucking though... we all sound like 12 year old girls trying on formal dresses. might submit this for country, pretty sure it's the wrong feel for what they're putting together though
  3. I'M ON A BOAT MOTHERF**KER
  4. sexy times! i agree! shit rain!!!!!!!! GO AWAY FOR 8 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I went through the archives and found something worth entering. Sydney. Recognisable but shot from an angle you never see. It shows sydney as being an impressive harbour city. Everything is clean, inviting and fun I'd forgotten I had this pic. lucky score!
  6. hahaha there'll be 40billion sau entries from 4 or 5 of us hehe. Never had to think about a theme or anything. this will be a fun challenge for sure. Zenon and Korey have an awesome head start, I've seen their landscape and random shots
  7. Nice one! Thanks for the link monkey! TEAM SAU ftw
  8. Wow, those model shots are nice. I think I just married the chick with the white hair hey Kory, it seems as we've been taking similar shots all week. I hit the track the other day to see what i could do with a weird lense (14mm half fish eye) even tried some panning with it to see what would happen haha. then i was out last night mucking around taking some star shots. I'll post up a couple star shots tonight. Here's a couple from the creek A couple of side hack creations. Damn crazy, one guy laying on a piece of plate covering a motor, the other guy curled up in a ball hanging off the side. Some panning with some experimental crops and probably my favorite from the day
  9. hey hey. that cyber shot is probably my favorite from the day too. I used a remote flash which was to camera right, sitting on the ground about 4 metres from the car centred and pointing straight at the back. Here's some more. This was one of the hottest commonwhores i've seen in a while. I like the angle on this one too. shame about all the distractions and boot.
  10. Visited the Cruise for Charity on the weekend, mainly a commodore event put on 'Street Commodores'. Was a really well organised event. had a dyno and an area for photo shoots under profoto gear, had a bunch of stalls and some other stuff. here's a few pics.
  11. The original pitch (Notice I'm not saying this is what's happening) Was that the revenue raised from the cameras goes back to the Road Safety branch of the RTA, and that it was specifically going to be used to replace guard rail W beam with the wire rope fences you see along the freeways.
  12. Nice work Sidd, your getting really good at lighting. the artwork on the machine is really good too. something to stare at and think about while your hooked up for hours on time. +1
  13. need to get moer photography hookups. i'm at a stage now where i'd be happy to take some snaps of other peoples rides.
  14. Don't really need to look all that closely haha. super lazy! go me! good spot! I'd fix it, but noone is really going to look at that pic anyways. (Lazy)
  15. your probably right about the spacing, I usually type it in when i'm done a pic, and i'm very lazy/stooopid. I haven't changed the sky though.... haven't touched any of those pics since they've been up. strange.
  16. whats wrong with it?
  17. product placement? haha
  18. Made a wallpaper last night for my work computer. kudos to zen(N)on for pointing out a couple pieces of junk i didn't remove on the first go
  19. I just bought some 'iShoot' el cheapy ones from ebay for 30 or 40 bucks. I wouldn't want to trust them for an action shot or when you're doing mission critical work, but for taking pics of cars, or mucking around with repeatable stuff I'd say they're good enough to get you started. These ones work on nikon. I'm pretty sure the cactus would work as a trigger, they might not relay all the extra info, but as for a trigger... it's only a contact closure.
  20. yeah nice shots! Always good at people shots. You need to take some 'extra' shots.. she's hot as!
  21. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got to start it! woot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's a few shots from the All Holden Show at Richmond today. Damn there was an abundance of awesomeness in vehicle form. So many high quality cars. Exceeded my expectations for the day about 30 fold. And mucking around....
  22. By the way. All holder show on at Richmond today. At Nepean raceway.
  23. Nice work boys. You don't need a big camera to get something nice. Did, have you tried panorama with the fifty? You can create some cool effects and capture larger scenes.
  24. Yeah. What he said. Use an exposure of one second or more (roughly) Camera is bolted on to car, so the car stays 100% static and clear. The background is moving, so the image is being overlapped on the sensor(film) and gives the blurriness. If you were a sydneysider I'd let you be a guinea pig for when i get my rig finished.
  25. Here's some bike shots, something different for everyone i didn't know there was a dirt race track just down the road from me, found it the other day. the old nepean raceway. Had some event on, reminded me of the good ol days of bmx.
