  1. It's simple economics. Even if the supply probs of VPR hadn't happened, a pump supplying E10 will sell a LOT more fuel over any given time-frame than a pump selling VPR. I'll also take a guess that there's a bigger margin on E10 as well compared to VPR. As alway, it always comes back to the almighty $$$.........
  2. Ouch!! I have a similar story, but with a HT 350 GTS Monaro. Bought the car as a rolling shell 19yrs ago in Vic, started on a full nut & bolt re-build then had the chance to leave Vic & move to Qld. It wasn't practical to keep or transport the car at the time so I sold it off to a local guy. I'd been pissed off with myself ever since until I saw the car again about 7yrs ago. The guy I sold it to had done a full concourse-level restoration to the car & instantly I felt better 'cos I knew he'd done a better job than I was capable of & one that the car deserved. Part of me is still pissed, but my GTR usually makes up for that- substitute one Bathurst winner for another
  3. Just hit the button, you should have it now
  4. Hey Trevor, e-mail on the way. For everyone else, the first new batch should be finished this time next wk. Get your payments in, first in first served. PM me for details
  5. Yes mate I did, got buried under a few other PM's & reset the "New Msg" count without me noticing it. Reply sent..... I've also just had another set of 225/45/17 RE-070's come up as well if anyone is interested. Orig Equip on STi's, not a true semi but still a good thing. $440 + Del.
  6. GTR's don't HAVE to be "understeering cops" as you put it, one of these should go a long way to fixing the problems in both cars http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ru...on-t227013.html
  7. Hey Guys The June Group Buy for these was really successful, to the point of selling out all stock. A few are already pre-sold from the new batch that is in production as we speak so get your orders in!! For the guys that just ran GTR's at SUPERLAP on the weekend, this has got to be one of the cheapest ways to gain some time on the track, any track & for everyone else, you'll get the same results for the same reason- these units work & work EXTREMELY WELL Take a look at the link below & if you've got any other Q's or want to place an order, PM me. Units should be back in stock in the next wk or so with more Ruzic Engineering products to come. Stay Tuned!! RUZIC Engineering 4WD Controller manual $495 + Del (with tracking & insurance). Will ship anywhere in the world. John 0413 615955
  8. It's not the mic you need to worry about, the tiny spy camera in the speedo is MUCH more intrusive. Can you see it, they usually hide it in the 0 of the 140kph....... But seriously, yeah it's a handsfree mic for a phone kit
  9. & replied Keep 'em coming guys
  10. Yeah mate, it's still on. PM me what you need along with your mobile # etc There has been a bit of a snag with freight but I'm hoping that should be sorted this wk. Thanx everyone for your patience.
  11. I don't think that (pad knock-off) is the issue here. I've seen this happen a few times on both our toys & old-school blown V8's, once with an impact at the end (ouch) & the cause is instead of the brake booster seeing -ve pressure (a vacuum), it's is being fed +ve pressure from the turbo/'s or supercharger via the plenum. Now I know that shouldn't happen, but sometimes it just does, for whatever reason. The fixes: Run less boost/ lift earlier but as Travis has already said himself, "this isnt an option as i want to win" Disconnect & plug the vac-line. Will def stop the prob but at the cost of vac-assist & possibly feel etc. Pedal box. As above, but at a higher cost. Go with the vac-tank/pump assembly. Problem solved By rights the check-valve on the vac-circuit should stop this from happening, but if it's failed once do you really want to risk it happening again or have it in the back of your mind, f**king with your sub-concious & maybe slowing you down "just in case" without you even realising it. Piss it off, & go collect a trophy!! Good Luck
  12. A new batch is going into production as we speak & should be available in a few wks. Get your orders in!!
  13. I've got mates that either crew for or drive/own Nitro cars, a background in drag-bikes myself & this has been a concern of mine for a long time. Speeds have been getting faster, times have been getting quicker but nothing by & large has been happening to the braking area's at most tracks. When Senna died, it forced the FIA to address run-off areas for hi-speed circuits, when Earnhardt died at Daytona NASCAR mandated HANS devices & finally implemented soft-walls on the Super-Speedways. When Darrell Russell was killed in Joe Amato's dragster a few yrs ago NHRA mandated shields around the rear of the cage around the drivers head along with tyre changes in conjunction with Goodyrear & when Eric Medlin died testing his Funny Car last yr, John Force Racing took it upon itself to design a safer cockpit which in turn is being mandated by the NHRA as well. It makes me f**ken angry that has taken the death of yet another racer, but maybe Scott Kalitta's legacy will be the updating of emergency provisions at the end of drag-strips the world over. I know that sometimes there's nothing that can be done if a vehicle is carrying enough speed & energy off the end of the strip & Scott looked like he went into the sand pretty hard, but a lot of sand-traps are so ineffectul they may as well not even be there, incl in my opinion the one at E-town. We as a species have developed the engineering knowledge & ability to achieve damn near anything, but ONLY when the cost of NOT DOING SO out-strips the cost of actually fixing the problem. How many more lives is it going to cost before this is addressed??? Yes we all die & yes Scott went out doing what he loved, but his death is still a pointless, needless & maybe even a preventable one.

  15. I doubt it's doable. Getting a tyre that under-sized to blow out onto the bead will be a right prick & most places won't even attempt it I'm sure. Why do you want to do this in the first place???
  16. Need tyres, look here (yeah I know, shameless plug) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/ha...es-t221459.html
  17. Yeah mate there's some there, I'll call you in the morning once I've checked them over
  18. My avatar pic is actually from Surfers Raceway. I've still got the bike (albeit in bits ATM) but punch the below stats into Google Earth to see what now resides where the 'strip used to be. It's actually an old data-set, there isn't even that much there anymore....... 28° 0'41.27"S 153°22'19.68"E As an interesting side-note & as Dennis Symris mentioned in the link above (old prick that he is), John Force had his first run in a Nitro Funny Car at Surfers Raceway. He had come out here with one of the US race-teams to drive the transporter after his mate who was to have the job broke his leg. Guess the rest is history, & it still hasn't ended....... There's a 6 car Nitro Funny Car meeting booked for Willowbank in Jan '09, Densham & possibly Del Worsham are bringing their operations out . If only Force would bring his 4 cars out as well, now THAT would be something to experience!!
  19. They fixed the oil-pump-drive-interface probs with the R33 RB26 (& some late R32's as well) but the oil control issues are probably the same still across the board. Either way, whichever engine you end up with, knock the sump off, take a look around & make the necessary mods BEFORE it goes in the car
  20. Yeah mate I'm sure there will be something there to suit. PM on the way. I'm waiting for a few interstate payments to go thru & as soon as they do I'll be back at the warehouse again so if anyone else is interested, it's not too late. PM me your details & I'll get back to you all ASAP!! Thanx guys
  21. Mate something to keep in mind. Cam caps are a "machined fit" so you can't just take a handful of 'em & throw 'em on a head like you would a set of wheel nuts etc. You CAN stuff around trying to match a bucketful of caps but the best way is, once you've got some, send them in with the head along with the cams to a good machine shop & they'll machine everything to fit. Apologies if you're already aware of this, I've heard stories & seen the end-result of not matching cam caps to an engine properly & it usually ends in tears. Good Luck with it
  22. Mate PM me your mobile # & we'll have a talk
  23. Sometimes a fresh set of o-rings can fix it but the injectors can also leak from the body (the yellow cap at the top of the injector) & from what I know they're not viable to fix but I may be wrong. Clean them down with some degreaser/WD40 etc, dry 'em off & lightly sprinkle with some talcum powder or some other fine powder. Go for a short sharp drive (on boost) & see if that helps hi-light where the leaks are coming from. O-rings from memory ar 8x2mm & last time I got a set the guy at the shop wouldn't even take anything for 'em, they're only a few cents each. Seriously though if you're looking to pay $1980 for 6 std injectors new from Nissan you could get a PowerFC, a new set of big injectors & a quick tune for about the same money. Think VERY seriously before rushing in & spending that amount on stock injectors only. Good Luck with it, let us know the end-result

  25. I've got a pair of Monobloc 8-piston Brembo's & before they went on the car I put them on the bench side-by-side with a pair of the D2's. From memory they were pretty much identical as per the piston spacings & overall dimensions etc although the pics of the G4's at the start of this thread appear to have a large leading piston & 3 small trailing pistons whereas my Brembo's are staggered big-small big-small. The other big difference apart from the monobloc construction vs the 2-piece construction of the D2/G4's was where the D2's use on single pad per side, my Brembo's use 2 pads per side with the ability to "quick change" the pads out thru the top so they are effectively 2 sets of 4-piston calipers sharing a common body & hydraulic circuit. They def seem to be a "knock-off" but whether they copied Brembo directly with regard to the piston specs or copied the AP's which in turn copied the Brembo's (but went to a single pad to avoid patent-infringement etc), I don't know.
