Do you by any chance have the habit of leaving your foot on the brake pedal when stationary, at a set of lights or an intersection etc?? If so, you may have suffered "pad transference" where a small amount of pad material literally transfers to the disc surface, causing a high spot & a similar feeling to a warped disc. Get in the habit of NEVER sitting with any pressure on the brake pedal whilst the vehicle is stationary, use the handbrake instead if you have to. To fix, do a handful of hard stops (without coming to a halt) & you should wear the high-spots down IF it's a buildup prob. If they are indeed warped, machining is the only real fix. To stop it happening again , try being off the pedal alltogether even before the vehicle comes to a stop. Sounds stupid maybe, but I'm talking within a few wheel rotations, not from speed etc

Yep, what you need are GAS drills. (calibrated accurately & small enough for gas/fuel jets etc) Forget Dick Smith, Bunnings etc- that would be like going to a Woolies servo & expecting to find proper race fuel.......

Yep, certainly will

& if all that fails, try Dr Who's Sonic Screwdriver I know that doesn't help you any right now but along with flying cars (http://www.moller.com/skyc.htm), affordable public space travel (http://www.virgingalactic.com) & personal submarines (http://www.uboatworx.com) we'll probably see it all in our lifetimes. In the meantime, just drill it........... Yep I'm bored with too much time on my hands -
http://www.signatureperformance.com.au/ Go wherever you like, but at the very least have a talk with Mick first. He's moving to a bigger workshop in a few wks so getting in might be a prob if you want it done right now but he's had good results with a few cars on here, mine included. Also have a word with Noel (FineLine) & see what he's got to say about Mick's work- his numbers were bigger than mine, for the moment anyway Also 4WD isn't a prob with 32's, just pop the fuse & you're good-to-go on any 2WD dyno

Speaking of f**ktards & all, does anyone know the occupants of a TOTALLY blue R31 4-door residing on the Northside?? This thing had everything but the glass painted in what coulda been house-paint, although I do have a Bic lighter here right now that looks kinda close.......... Had him pull up beside me in moving traffic this arvo & do the std 1/2 length past, fall back & boot it thing. First I thought he was on the clutch & trying to make a real big impression but then I realised the POS was an AUTO & what I was hearing was massive converter flare!!! Thanx guys, biggest laugh I'd had all day!! The special bus will be waiting for you in the same place Monday...........

Spotted a VERY nice, clean white 32GTR complete with V-Spec II sticker on the boot, anyone know who's it might be?? No idea if it's a real V-Spec II or not but the only sad thing was- the rear wing is already gone Must be a bit of a handful when driven in anger, but maybe that never happens either. Now that would be really sad.......

Nope they're the full size 80mm & they were already on the car when I bought it. I've been kinda slack, done nothing but drive the car since I bought it so I haven't had it apart to see what was done to make 'em fit....

R33 GTR Injectors- currently in car but should be coming out next wk since I'm finally getting the car tuned. Working faultlessly & no leaks etc. They have been flow-tested but I do not have any info other than to say they are working fine in the car. Asking $300/set R32 GTR Sumitomo calipers, 296mm Rotors & RB74 pads - I've been holding onto these for awhile but since I've had no probs with the Brembo 8's that are on the car now they can go. Over 10mm on the pads & the rotors are in fair condition with spiderweb cracks throughout, pretty much typical condition for std used rotors. Make an offer I've also got a pair of Willwood 4-spot calipers- & as soon as I get more exact info on them I'll edit this.... As for tyres, I have direct access to an importer & can supply anything anywhere anytime. New containers land approx every 8wks so first in first served per shipment (obviously).

Gtr Parts For Sale
Lunatikk replied to Lunatikk's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey Steve Rather than pick over what comes in, which can & often does work I'm trying to reverse the process with these guys & give them requests for specific brands, sizes & compounds etc. That way they can either look for them specifically at the sourcing end or put them aside when un-loading the containers at this end. I've already put in requests for all sizes of semi-slicks (the last lot disappeared very quickly) but unless I can have a standing order with these guys before each shipment arrives, a lot of the real good stock can be gone by the time I can get a bit of a list organised, posted, replies collated & orders placed etc. Can I take it you're finally getting closer to needing tyres for that GTR of yours??? -

Ash how simple or otherwise is it to fit a 33GTR airbox into a 32GTR?? I'm currently running Z32 AFM's on the std 32GTR airbox to keep the stealth look & whilst it isn't a prob ATM, once I turn the screws I'm expecting it to become a limiting factor
