  1. Nah mate they're about $450 delivered from Nengun p.s I have seen them on offer locally for around the $750 mark maybe that's where you heard they were big $$ !
  2. I've heard of a lot of guys using them with success. I'm planning on buying a set of 700cc Sard injectors, and would have thought that for 300rwkw that would be sufficient.
  3. maybe get a crank collar fitted aswell then? or change the crank to a 33GTR one?
  4. how bout new oil and water pump?
  5. Thanks again for the help s13drifter I think I'll definitely go the 256/264 combo as that sounds as though it's going to suit my purposes. Hopefully it'll give me decent average power! I'll let you know how I go once they're in and it's tuned etc
  6. yeah but which poor sod are you going to sell it to? take it to a smash repair shop and get them to fix it properly, otherwise it'll be unsafe
  7. Guys thanks very much for the info, it is very much appreciated! So from what you guys are saying, if I didn't want to go for too much lift and wanted to try to increase spool without sacrificing too much idle ... then I should perhaps try a 256 (or 260) inlet/264 exhaust? I don't necessarily want to go too high in duration as I'm not aiming for huge horsepower or anything ... just something that will spool reasonably quickly and be a bit of fun on the street.
  8. I've asked this before but couldn't really get much of an idea as to what the benefits/downfalls are of having different cam duration on the inlet side to the exhaust side. If you had an RB26 with a GT35 on it, and you put 264deg inlet cam and 272deg exhaust .... what pros and cons would you see? Other mods would be bigger injectors, AFM's, Power FC and all that sort of stuff. Or is it better to go for same duration inlet/exhaust?
  9. Yeah I liked the thread preview function
  10. yeah i think you'd have to give it some time! they dont look that flash at the moment but perhaps give it a week and see how the changes go
  11. cheers mate, yeah he sent me a PM
  12. anyone else know where to get them??
  13. yeah ok if you could post up a pic that'd be great, cheers
  14. Hi I've trawled the internet and can't seem to find anywhere that sells the Greddy single turbo inlets for Rb26. The one that allows you to run two airflow meters off the one single turbo. You usually see them on T78s etc. Anyone know where to buy them from, and what are they called exactly? I have attached a pic: http://www.members.shaw.ca/ssbperformance/...ns/RB26DETT.jpg Cheers
  15. yeah come on mate, we're not that bad ... it's only 2 hours
  16. Yeah but is that Tee-Rust?
  17. yeah should be fun it's a standard bottom end though, with a GT35R and associated bits. I've taken plenty of pics along the way so when it's finally finished I'll post up a HOW-TO
  18. Well I've got a 32gts4 that had an RB20 in it, so I pulled that out and am putting this RB26 into it. I pulled the head off to get it cleaned up, have cams installed and then put a metal headgasket in it so that it can withstand the big single I have ready to go on Can't wait!
  19. Cheers dude I called up a workshop and they said just get the headgasket with 87mm bore as it'll work fine! Yeah I agree though, apparently the 1.2mm is the way to go. Thanks!
  20. C'mon someone must know. Can I use a headgasket with a 87mm bore on a standard engine?
  21. I'm just about to order a Tomei gasket kit from Nengun, though I'm not sure which one I need. I can't see one there for a "standard engine" ie. standard bore and gasket thickness. Isn't the standard bore 86mm and the standard headgasket thickness 1.2mm? I can't see it there so I can't click on it to add to cart
  22. i've even seen a wrx towing a boat before! that was a funny sight
