  1. It could be a vacuum / boost leak, Check your intercooler and piping etc
  2. The resistor pack on the passenger side tower is for the fuel pump speed controller.
  3. I have posted the solution to this problem so many times I've lost count. Some others here have slowly caught on. If you can't be bothered searching get a sharp round file and carefully make the half moon in the 33 cog perfectly round. It will be a nice press fit onto the navara splined shaft and shouldn't need glue. Don't forget to recut the location slot on the navara speedo drive 180 degrees opposite the original slot or it will only last a short while.
  4. It's a pity your system isn't full stainless. If it were I'd swap you for my Powergetter as I'm looking for something quieter.
  5. Not really Most 6" and 6x9" car speakers are designed to run infinite baffle. That means that a box of the correct size would be too big to use in a car. It is however very important that the speaker is mounted so the front of the speaker is sealed from the back of the speaker so the soundwaves don't cancel out. Use plenty of sound deadener eg. Dynamat on your doorskins and parcel shelf.
  6. That sounds just like my RB74 pads and they are made by QFM for Race Brakes. I tried everything to stop them squealing but it made no difference. Race brakes recommended I swap them for Elig pads but I thought I'd get some wear out of them first. The problem is the rotors seem to be wearing faster than the pads.
  7. What do you mean by gtst injector resistor pack. They don't use one. Do you mean gtr resistor pack? If so how much?
  8. Except it doesn't read Bar. It reads x100mm of Hg as per post #4
  9. The torsion rods that hold my boot up rattle with my sub. Has anyone replaced theirs with gas struts like the 33s etc?
  10. Cat back or just 3" rear muffler, not cannon. Must be very high quality and full stainless. eg. fgk super legalis, kakimoto etc. Can swap Fujitsubo powergetter in vgc.
  11. A 3" exhaust would be meant for a turbo. Sell it and put on a quality 2.25" exhaust. Even a stock turbo exhaust would be worth a try. x2 for stock airbox Just fit an apexi panel filter in it.
  12. I don't think you could call that motor an rb27 as the capacity only calculates out to 2628cc.
  13. I would say release bearing but I would expect to hear it below 3000rpm too.
  14. No. To get 600 wrms you would need two of those amps and a dual 2ohm voice coil sub. In theory doubling the power will only yield a 3db gain. If you choose a sub that has a sensitivity (or SPL rating) that is 3db higher it will play as loud with 300w as a 3db less sensitive sub will with 600w. Optimising the box design and positioning can gain 12db or more so don't sweat about maximising wrms. It's more important to choose the right sub and put it in a box that suits your car's acoustic characteristics.
  15. I need driver's front guard and bonnet to suit an r32gtst. Both indicators too. May need guard liner and suspension parts. Let me know what you've got and I'll check against the list the panel beater is giving me.
  16. The gtst also uses the twin pump. You'd want a gts pump and you will also need the bracket and lines. They use a 3 rib pulley instead of a 4 rib but you probably wouldn't need to change the crank pulley so it might not be an issue. I doubt it's your pump, more like solenoid control. Could be speed sensor or other input to hicas computer.
  17. I thought about using a bar on the passenger's side but if I put it in the same position as the bar needs to be on the driver's side it wouldn't do much to protect the speakers anyway. I'm not sure I follow your comments regarding tweeter placement, typo perhaps? There is no perfect place for speakers in a car so placement will always be a compromise. The bottom speaker is my tweeter. I said why I chose this setup in a previous post. The stage height is quite good, even excellent at higher volume. Our ears are easily tricked by careful alignment.
  18. I finally got my kickpanels back from the vacuum formers. Not too bad a match to the factory panels. The metal bar on the driver's side helps guide the right foot away from the speakers.
  19. It's much easier to get stage height than it is to achieve a solid centre image in a car. The main reason for placing speakers in the kickpanels is to get them as far away as possible so that the difference in the distance between the left and the right speaker and the listener is as small as possible. There can be issues with stage height but careful postioning and angling of the speakers and tuning with an equaliser can help overcome this. I spent time listening to this setup before building it in fibreglass and the stage is dash top height at low volume but rises above that as the volume increases.
  20. 1 pair Earthquake 150Watt 4"x 6" 2way speakers Suitable to run off headunit or amp. To fit: Bolt into R32 Doors Age: 2yr old but used for only 2 months Condition: As new Location: 1hr south of Goldcoast Cost: $150 new sell for $75 including postage within australia. Please contact via PM.
  21. Hasn't anyone put speakers in their r32 kickpanels before? I cut the middle out of my kickpanels and mounted the speakers in mdf rings that were held in place with metal straps. I listened to them like this and tried different angles by adjusting the straps. Once I was happy with the sound I made fibreglass backings and stretched fabric over them before coating them in resin and laying fg matting behind them. After a bit of sanding they are ready to cover in vinyl. Due to the complicated contours the vinyl will have to be vacuum formed so I've sent them away to be done. I'll post more pics when they're finished.
  22. If your pcv valve is stuck it can allow boost pressure into the crankcase and blow your dipstick. Pull it out and clean it with carby-clean.
