  1. either that or your intercooler piping is rubbing ontop of the cas.. removed timing belt cover is asking for problems!
  2. well can you update the list with the people that responded in this thread, which you never added... me for instance.
  3. so nobody has any idea?
  4. I may have one that I think was in reasonable condition (new would obviously be better).. I'll check at home tonight for you..
  5. radiator swap should easily be manageable by yourself.. It's only two hose clamps and two bolts that have to be removed. I'd just get a cheap just-jap unit.. but you can get the end-tanks reconditioned. Gavin Wood has contacts for that sort of thing (think he repaired my radiator once).
  6. There is a simple solution, and that's simply a better server.. US based, none of this aussie rubbish. I don't even know why SAU is still on sanitytech .. prices seem extreme, performance seems slow. For the same price you could have terrabytes of transfer over in the states. My old site, I had 1.8tb downloaded in a month at one point, and thousands of visitors a day. Cost me $50/aud a month, and the server never died or had database issues.
  7. Anybody know?? An rb20 one fits an Rb25.. and I have a feeling they may be the same, but not too sure. Have always ran my rb25 with rb20 starter, but if there is a difference, maybe I need to upgrade to an R33 one?? Think I'm having starter motor problems.
  8. ..that hasn't already been covered right? ...everything has been covered. Lets just close the whole queensland general area altogether then.
  9. Got it in one.. Stop new topics and you stop any interest in this area. Even if they are stupid, you don't have to read them, or you can block the poster if you really find their posts continuously annoying.
  10. The hd-dvd addon drive for 360 is $250.. for essentially the same quality. Blu-ray being included in the price of the ps3 is no special bargain.
  11. I've got a pulsar Q as well as my r32... around 80kw and 1000kg.. lsd, 1.8L, manual.. goes alright, does burnouts.. about the same as most of the older aussie v6's The real difference between a 6 and 4cyl is prolly only $5-10 a week.. if you can't afford that, then you probably shouldn't be buying a second car Think of it this way.. even if you got 6L/100km compared to say 12L/100km.. assuming 500km a week (26,000km a year - way more that you'll probably do), that's 6*5 = 30L x $1.20 = $36 saving a week.. Now take into account rego of $650 a year + 3rd party insurance ($150 for me, more for you) = $800 / 52 = $15 a week to keep the car on the road at the minimum.. add $1000 depreciation/repair costs to the daily in an average year - another $19/wk.. all up $34/wk for your 'cheap' daily to remain on the road
  12. I'm out.. don't really want to roll-start my car each time.. starter motor is too touch and go at the mo, going to spend the time instead ripping it out this weekend..
  13. hey beau.. plenty of growth it darwin, but can't imagine it being too interesting.. my r32 is going ok, but haven't driven it really for 6 months.. starter motor (I think) is gone at the moment, so gotta replace that. I live down near the border now, so haven't been to an SAU event for 6+ months.. lol
  14. what he said.. diy around your budget.. (not using rb25 gearbox, which you'll need eventually).. Cost me under $3k.. workshop prices: $5k+
  15. AFAIK rt215's have been phased out and rt615's are the replacement?
  16. no need for hicas, as all it would do is supply varying voltage signals.. You should just be able to apply voltage to the rack directly. Probably opens a diaphragm or something which controls the pressure of the fluid inside = heaviness/lightness
  17. I suggest you instead reinvest the money in some english classes
  18. the more you spend, the more you get slammed..
  19. I have a license.. you do not.. that is all
  20. would the reverse - shovel stuck in hot coals be effective I wonder?
  21. I find it hard to believe a sponsor or 3 couldn't kick in $1-2k to help discount a full day to members, considering the advertising and full day's marketing they could receive. It wouldn't even have to be a performance workshop specifically.. it could be autobarn, a tyre-place, etc of this world where that sort of money is a pittance. Just think how much it costs to put a TV ad on for a few seconds. I am sure the official '$36' test and tunes would be significantly more if not for sponsorship of the companies with their billboards down the track, etc.
  22. it's not a catchment if it doesn't catch any water now is it...
  23. not going to hurt as much as when we get down to 10% in not that far away.. There is only one way this graph is going..
  24. just stirring.. they're ok if setup properly..
  25. sik.. heading straight for the dams.... although looks like it will be a quick inny and outty which probably won't do much, other than smash things..
