  1. I use, and have used mobil 1 synth-S in my rb20, and my rb25 for 2 years before that... I have had no problems and think its a good mix between price and performance if changed regularly. But if you are concerned about maximum engine life (probably long after you've sold it), running motul or mobil 1, etc would be the better option.. although you have to be prepared for double the price every change.

    Clutches

    pads?!
  3. Unfortunately it's pretty expensive.. and I think anywhere from 5-10k would be perfectly within reason. This why GTR are all very great... until something goes wrong. Then they're an expensive proposition.
  4. thats a profecA
  5. ok, well rb25 actuator should be 7psi stock.. rb20 should give you 10psi stock, and that is what it gave on mine. You are running aftermarket dump pipe, cat, and catback right? A restriction in there will stop you developing 'full boost' It's quite possible you have a boost leak or something like that.. causing boost to bleed out somewhere, and resulting less in low boost levels. This will also cause your turbo to work harder/heat up to give that small boost level, which is not a good thing. So I'd check it out fully before going to nuts on it.
  6. you aren't going off the factory dash boost gauge are you?
  7. it will be printed on the VIN plate.. 1st line is your chasis codes, etc. 2nd line is the drivetrain configuration, gearbox and diff ratio I forget the exact configuration of the numbers, but if you see RP43 is 4.3:1, RP39 is 3.9:1, etc.. Memory is a bit fuzzy, and can't recall off the top of my head right now, but you should be able to work it out. my r32 auto is 4.3:1 btw
  8. not for rb20 they don't.. and rb20 is different to rb25
  9. Today I was reading that this year, 12 of the 18 road deaths over the holiday period in QLD were aged under 22..
  10. i suggest using a mallet on your head.... Anyhow, you will need to pull off the piping and things, that is fairly easily. You will also need to move the power steering pump and remove the power steering belt to make it easier to get to the correct bolts. So you will have to undo it and push it to the side to allow you to the bolts that get the compressor off. I didn't find it too difficult, never having done it before. Its probably an hour or so job to get it out, but the thing does weigh a fair bit, if thats your thing.
  11. that would be great.. see you on thurs - don't forget
  12. $200 or so.. I sold a set a couple of years back for R33.. Not worth much, just suit people looking for temporary replacements, or getting past defects if its the only way.
  13. ..and the bikini girls! Reason I was thinking, after sitting through Dukes of Hazzard -- I give this film about 5 minutes before being re-made by hollywood..
  14. I know, used to watch it over and over.. and it was always great to watch. But haven't seen it for so long, just wondering how it would stand the test of time. Smokey and the Bandit as well.. have to get a copy of that too.
  15. I knew this would get your attention..haha ... does anybody have it on DVD, that I can borrow for a week or two? I want to watch this classic again Can't seem to find it online unfortunately
  16. sure you mean 15's ? i have some on the goldcoast.. pick them up you can have.. 1 has a nail hole that needs replacing (tyre places do that for $20)... have around 50% tread, enough to past RWC.
  17. yeah, i'll PM you back, I get a lot of PM's at times, and don't always have time to reply same day - but yeah, i'll get back to you
  18. I'm on the goldcoast, could give u a ride with mild mods and the rb25 highflow (goes ok), but to be honest its auto so there goes 20-30% of the power and 90% of the fun. Beau's one might not be a bad one.. least its manual
  19. no.. I have a s1 engine (1989) rb20, and was able to use exact same factory fittings to fit rb25 turbo.. No other changes required. So either your "rb25 turbo" is not in fact one, or well I don't know

  21. radio is up to 22khz range, whereas CD is 44khz.. which allows much more frequencies to be accurately transmitted in the spectrum. Usually that would mean that its the higher frequencies that you'd lose, so I guess there must be other explanations why you lose bass frequency... probably to do with bass requiring more power to send the lower wavelengths long distances?? Radio plays crap usually repeditive music anyhow They were talking about digital radio which would improve the quality, but they've been talking about that for 10 years and not much has advanced in that area.
  22. you should check out the group buy section...
  23. Just did a 2 hour drive through pretty much the same area.. up past Hinze dam to Natural Bridge, and then down to Murwillumbah. Such a great drive, and surprisingly pretty quiet on the roads for a sunday afternoon. Awesome this time of year with a bit of rain and its so green. I urge everybody to at least get out there and use their skyline for some great driving. That's what they are for, not sitting in a carpark, or doing laps... That's pretty lame in my book for a true driver's car. I've seen quite a lot of Australia and the area 200-300km around the goldcoast is pretty unbeatable for the contrast between great beaches and the forests. In 30 minutes you can be on a 20km beach, the next be up in the mountains amongst the trees and green. I found the suspension setup in my car perfect for those sorts of roads.. not too firm, not too light.. bilstein+whitelines are a great combo in an R32! Here are a few photos I took anyhow along the way to get you inspired to go on a similar drive sometime soon..
  24. why does it take for squizz to get back on monday to lock the gay threads? come on strutto.. do your stuff
