  1. Yep i figured that out on the site thanks. We are just going to order a Link g4 fury for the car i think so hopefully these problems just disappear with the standalone haha.
  2. Thanks I havnt used it before just ordered a Bluetooth OBD2 adapter and will download the datascan program and see how we go programming the bcm to match the new stuff. cheers
  3. How does NATS work? engine conversion ecu/bcm matching? Hi all have now got the VQ25det in and turning over and priming fuel off the key although no spark. still using the original key and ignition Barrel and BCM not from the donor M35. We have these items from the donor car but do not have a matching BCM to go with the ECU from the donor car. How does bcm matching work in these cars? does key/ barrel and bcm all sync to tell ecu not to immobilise? assuming it needs the key to match barrel and then both these to match the BCM and ECU? Has anyone had to get a new bcm and had it programmed? If the new ecu from the donor car doesn't match the original bcm in the car i assume it wont let the car start. Is it possible to reset or reprogram the original BCM to match the new stock ecu from the car the motor is going into? The v35 bcm and m35 bcm have slightly different pinouts on the bcm so am hoping either there is a way to have the old bcm communicate with the new ecu. essentially can a locksmith make this work/ programming or some kind of NATS block? Short of going aftermarket ecu im out of ideas with this f**king car haha.
  4. Thanks duncan that gives me alot to work with. Id say your righr about the gearbox because the injectors are not clicking either. I can force fuel in with 12v relay direct to pump but this isnt triggering off the stock ecu wire either. Going to spend some time today trying to figure out which is the neutral switch plug and try jump it. The motor came out of a running car so should be setup ok. Thanks for the help will update if i have a win.
  5. VQ25DET no spark Hi all have just finished transplanting a vq25det into a v35. We have used a z33 6 speed manual gearbox and clutch to bolt it all together. everything is in the car at this point and for some reason we are not getting any spark. I read that the starter motor relay needs to be bypassed so am using a trigger wire and button to turn the motor over while ignition is set to 'ON' (this will be relayed off ignition circuit later) The v35 has been converted from returnless fuel to return setup to suit the new motor 'vq25det'. Fuel pump is currently relayed triggered by 12v ON circuit so we definitely have fuel reaching the rail. The idea was to get the car running on the standard ecu before going haltech and front mount turbo in future. We have the matching ecu from this motor so auto turbo stagea ecu. currently the auto transmission error light flashes with the auto gearbox ecu unplugged and it stays solid if the gearbox ecu is plugged in while trying to start the vehicle. currently the plugs that would have gone to gearbox are not plugged into anything as the manual has almost no sensors. My belief is that the car cannot tell if it is in P when trying to start the engine so it is stoping the motor starting through no spark even though we are forcing the starter motor on. Any thoughts on putting a resistor in the right place to trick the ecu into thinking it is in Park so the motor will start? the only other thing i can think off is the immobilizer due to a different ecu but its still the same key and lock barrel? Any advice would be great. Thanks all

  7. VQ25DET flywheel bolt torque? Please help Hi all been reading for last few years site is awesome resource although i'm having trouble finding a workshop manual for a m35 stagea or a v35. Attempting to convert a 4 door v35 to vq25det 2wd with 350z z33 gearbox. Have sorted the clearance issues and removed the front diff from motor and starter/ gearbox which with some fab work will work and bolt into the stock location for the vq25 and hit the manual flywheel spot on. been unable to find flywheel torque bolt specs for the vq25det which is holding up putting the clutch on and testing tailshaft length. Thanks all
  8. Thanks for the quick reply. so is one of the pumps socks location better suited to a stock cradle in a 32 gtr? I was considering going an e85 pump although i am not in a city so availability is still a few years off for us unfortunately. aiming for anything above 250kw at all 4 with more boost and the haltech fitted. maybe 300kw at all 4 one day. It has a 33 gtr engine fitted with 33 N1 turbos so was planning on a safe 16psi? wat injector size would u recommend for just over 300kw at all 4 max on the standard rail and wat is an ideal reg upgrade, thanks mate
  9. Hey guys I know this has probably already been answered or at least half answered but I am struggling to figure out the right fuel pump to replace the stock one in my 32GTR. Looking at the Walbro 255 the problem is when ordering it gives me 2 options in the 255lph flow, the GSS342 255lph high pressure and the GSS317 255Lph OEM pressure. The car has standard rail, fuel reg and injectors although the injectors and reg are getting changed within a month when the haltech gets fitted just want to do the pump for peace of mind as I think its still stock. Do I need a better fuel reg to run the high pressure version of the Walbro 255 (so can I fit it before reg and injectors get fitted) or is that the one I should be using regardless of regs and injectors. The second query I have is doing a full coolant flush of the block. I understand the tutorial the only thing I cant find when ordering parts is the gasket part number for the thermostat housing is this just a silicone gasket u make I assumed there would be a gasket. The only one I could find was a complete replacement housing that came with a gasket. Thanks in advance the forums have been beyond helpful so far srry for so much text just trying to answer any possible questions.
