  1. So where did everybody buy there rails from/how did you modify your rails to fit your fixed back? I have a Sparco Sprint Jr and would like to install it but I can't find any rails for sale which aren't on eBay... Where did you buy your rails from and how much? Located in Brisbane
  2. Yes but I also bought the car recently but for the first month or so I never noticed it so that's why I'm not 100% on it just being the tune And I don't have access to one man
  3. Im in brisbane, There are a fair few up here too but I really only trust this one shop with tuning, I might call some other shops though and see what they say

I Called a shop to book it in to have a major look over this issue as well as retuning it.. only problem is that they are booked out until after WTAC and I wanted these issues sorted before then so I could drive down... It has Deatschwerks injectors which could not be more than 3 years old so while that is a possibility i highly doubt it.. Am I allowed to name the company to see if anybody has had issues/similar issues with this company or is bad-naming not allowed?
  5. because it has both brah. And a tune would also cause hot start/cold start issues. And so would one of the sensors

  7. The tune was done by the previous owner and was done a year or so ago. So wouldn't he have taken it back immediately if he noticed it was sheeeit? coldstart + A/C it just stalls when you take out the clutch, it's miserable to drive in the morning on the way to work haha Does Nissan have some cold start sensor or relay or something? that could be on it's way out??

So sometimes ill go for a drive, then stop turn the car off, come back 30 mins later and when I go to turn the car on it will turn over easily enough put it won't fire, if I push the accelerator then it comes alive but it will literally not fire unless i press the throttle... and this only happens when it's warm, it's running a Power FC and im starting to think whoever tuned it has no f**king clue.. it seems like they haven't haven't even bothered with a coldstart map or anything, just power runs....for 8 PSI...

  10. I was told that my block is in good condition so I didn't want to have to replace the engine. I'll try to get this done to it. I guess my situation at the moment is either try and fail, so I buy an new engine. Or try and get it right and save a lot of money! Sorry Ben, I didn't want to create a "generic how to remove harmonic balancer" thread but this was literally a case of the F**ker is not coming off. Thanks guys. I'll try to keep you updated on how it goes. And thanks Jiffo! you obviously realize the pain this is. I appreciate you helping me out with this
  11. "If it has been hit and it sitting proud of the keyway in the sprocket it will never come off." if this has happened. What do I have to do to fix it so it can come off?
  12. Thanks man. Usually I wouldn't have posted this as I already have a mechanic looking at it but this is literally last resort before needing a new engine. Which I would prefer not to do as I would not trust buying a used RB. With your RB30 one, just clarifying, you drilled and tapped the holes into that one, and eventually you got it off without damaging the oilpump/crank?? Thanks for the link to Kudos. I have spent like 1.5k already there for all new headgaskets hoses etc. they are a very very good company

  14. Yes Ben, Works for mazda so he hasn't come across nissan issues before. We were going to try them but if we damage the crank that means dead motor? plus if i go replace it with another 20 who says that 20 doesn't have a f**ked balancer as well
  15. Okay so I know that getting the sprocket off the crank is usually an issue for an RB20DET but this one seems to be completely seized on! We have a puller on it and it is so tight it literally feels like it is about to break. it's been getting tightened with a huge breaker bar. We've left it on over night. sprayed WD40 on it. What else can I do to get the f**ker off? without damaging crank. Or does it literally come to needing a new engine? My mechanic friend. Who is doing the job, is completely stumped by how stubborn the sprocket is being.
  16. So since then (last post 4th of July) the car has sat in limbo due to a shop just not being able to do their job lol. BUT it's on its way back! Waiting on parts from Japan now so hopefully just waiting till next week for them. So whats happened to the car: - Cometic Headgasket - New genuine Nissan 100,000km service kit (So waterpump, pulleys, belts, tensioners, etc.. - New Genuine Nissan heater hose kit. (Well... while it's all pulled apart ) - Gearbox extension housing seal. Probably a few other things when I find them haha. But i've bought a few other things while it's been away New seat so keen to install this. yet to figure out rails and what not but should be easy enough! Got this to replace the cheap drift branded wheel on it. I think i need to get a deep dish Nardi though, So might try to sell this or swap for same styled Deep dish. HSD coils, should be a good upgrade from worn out KYB Shocks. A sub. Wouldn't usually do this sort of mod usually but all the wires are there already from a previous owner and I picked this one up free. Sorry for the poor image quality on this post Just a big waiting game to get it back now
  17. I have just recently found out my RB25 turbo is on it's last legs so I thought i might aswell upgrade it while up there. I have heard of people saying good things about Kinugawa Turbo's and just wanted to come on here and ask what the overall opinion of them actually were Eventually I would like to achieve 350hp on a stock Bottom End RB20 is this acheiveable? If so what turbo charger should I be looking at getting? I've heard TD06-20 are good for 20det's am I going in the right direction on this choice? anybody on here with a 20det actually ever bought one of these turbo's got any feedback on relibility/performance/ ease of install (completeness of the turbo kit they sell)? So far i've been looking at this which seems to cover everything you'd need for the install, but if anyone has installed one of these before, does it?   20. So Auto meter is just a brand as such? Yes i have that boost gauge in the car still, I think I might reinstall the boost controller (it's just sitting in the glovebox at the moment haha) and only go up a little bit just to be safe
  21. I recently purchased a 92 R32 GTS-t and have spent some money cleaning it up. Now i am keen to add a bit more power to it but i have a few questions since the car has a few aftermarket bits which i'm not 100% sure on just yet as I am new to turbos. So the car has Power FC, RB25 Turbo with 360 degree thrust bearing, Split Fire Coil Packs, 550 cc Deatschwerks Injectors, Stainless Braided Oil Water and Break Lines with Speed Flow fittings , Front mount Intercooler, HKS Turbo Timer with auto meter boost gauge. The previous owner had the boost put up to 13psi and tuned but then took out the manual boost controller (So is that running wastegate pressure?) and had it retuned for 8psi. Okay so now my questions. So if I wanted to up the boost would I be able to reinstall the manual boost controller and put it up? (How do I know how much is too much boost when turning it up?) OR Would I need to take it in to get retuned before I touch any boost levels? Also what is a "HKS Turbo timer with AUTO METER BOOST GAUGE" I know what the turbo timer is but what's the auto meter boost gauge? Thanks for helping me learn guys Angus
  22. Today was one of those days where if something could go wrong, it did. When we were putting the exhaust manifold back on one of the studs snapped in the head so the head had to be taken back to the shop to be drilled out and re-threaded. The car was meant to be back on the road yesterday so it is starting to bug me now, I haven't heard the turbo in so long now . So I decided not to waste the day so i started cleaning up everything else I needed to and preparing it to drop the head back on. I ended up getting bored of that so i just polished some parts instead.. Strut brace has seen better days.. And the bottom is even worse.. Mind you this was done in 5 mins just with a bit of polish, I think i might sand it down and re-polish it properly tomorrow, this was just to see how well the polish worked (The polish gives the mirror effect, it doesn't get rid of all the "black" spots easily. I would have to sand it back to get rid of them) And the bottom of it now.. Also polished up the bit which the top radiator hose connects to. Didn't get a before shot sorry but this bit was FILTHY. Yes the cooling system is filthy, and yes it is getting professionally flushed when the head is back on haha.
