  1. tried borrowing bigger rims off a mate? might raise it up a bit. or slip someone $100 to clear it up
  2. yeah, after sanding it i sprayed it with WD40 anyway
  3. this is what happened... i took my coils out, took the rubber boot and the springs off and got my little drill set with those mini sanders out and lightly sanded away a layer off the inside of where the spring sits in the coil till it was all shiny inside... after i fitted it all back together i noticed a huge difference.. my car completely revs out and doesnt lose power at the 5000rpm mark anymore... its the fastest ive seen it ever since i bought it.
  4. still a bit confused... how do they replace that?
  5. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/?
  6. guys, ive changed the tape over and over (i used the 3M pvc tape) cleaned the spring, and i still get a splutter/misfire. whats the go? after i fix the tape or clean the spring, it works for a few hrs, then comes back. someone talked about a carbon rod.. i dont have any carbon rods on or near my spring.. am i meant to?
  7. if you up the airflow wont it add more fuel causing it to run even richer? get your avcr or safc when u get it tuned by someone who knows their shit and they'll find the right balance for you. Joe

  9. if u sucked up water in ur air intake it will either seize ur engine, or if there wasnt much it will eventually dry. the wrx sound is being caused by wet spark plugs.. thats from experience.. i was running on 4cyl :| Joe
  10. no worries.. hope all goes well. Joe
  11. thanks.. you'll need a 16mm deep socket for the plugs, 8mm socket for the coils and the clamps on the cooler piping, pliers for the clamp the oil thing ontop of the front of the rocker cover, and a hexagon thing for the little screws on the rocker cover. Joe
  12. if its sounding like a rexie then take ur spark plugs out and dry them. i guarantee you they will be wet. Joe
  13. nah, not at all. my box is running perfectly, i dont have issues wit O/D. its just sometimes when i take off

  15. it doesnt feel like its on its way out.. its really strong and it only happens aroud once or twice a day.
  16. As the title says, my car is auto, and when i take off from traffic lights SOMETIMES it gets stuck in 1st gear. to get it to change ive either gotta take my foot off the accelerator or give it a bit of a hit of the accelerator then it goes into 2nd. does anyone know what the problem could be? maybe i need to change my gearbox oil? Joe
  17. u know what guys.. i quite like it flicking quickly. im going 2 change my right one to 21w
  18. oh yeah, and if you take that apart and these three pieces fall out.. its meant to look like this: Joe
  19. hey guys.. i fixed the problem, no more ticking. you've gotta take apart the plastic around the steering wheel, then you'll see the indicator stick, and 2 screws holding the piece in. you'll need a flat head screw driver to get the clips on the side loose to pull that piece apart. you've gotta clean this area out thoroughly... if it all seems ok and still ticks then i recommend getting a new piece. my left indicator still ticks fast though, this only fixes the constant ticking. Joe
  20. you dont need to, they'll charge u a shit load, try a local mechanic or something. you need to take ur spark plugs out and dry them.
