  1. Niz, I think I may have a 2nd hand one for you:D
  2. Well done, who would have thought that a Wolf computer would work so well;)
  3. I spoke to Grant at Per4manz, and he said that the twin blade design doesn't seem to impact on efficiency or power, but it does make the turbo noise quieter.
  4. Cam, I'll ask Grant tommorow, and post up what he says is the difference between the two styles of compressor wheel.
  5. Andrew, I'll have a look at it, we didn't bother to check the knock sensors were working the first time, give me a buzz, and we'll organise a time to meet up.
  6. Just turned 27, starting to feel very mature now:D
  7. Cam, I think it's possible to put a steel wheeled RX7 turbine in a machined RB25 turbo housing, might cost the same as a rebuild but provide a bit more power and reliability.
  8. Why bother with a GTR pump? The don't flow that much, and 2nd hand there not as reliable as buying a brand new BOSCH one. I pushed my stock GTS-t pump to 297rwhp, and it's still going, although only acting as a lifter.
  9. I reccomend adding an external pump, and using your standard pump as a lifter pump. That way you will have more than adequate fuel for 400+rwhp, and no messing about in the tank:D
  10. SAU WA will be entering a team too, we should have some cars in the 11's and possibly 10's:D I'll be getting in touch with Damien to see if we can organise a similar sort of discount to what SAU NSW got.
  11. Hi Franz, We have a "Spotted" thread that has been stickied at the top of the WA section, please use that for these sort of posts.
  12. Ring Leslie at Wheelspin, he can get some nice Volks in:drooling:
  13. Steve, Motor is still in the car, waiting on parts to arrive before we strip it. Nothing wrong with 8.5:1, just these days with better fuels and EMS there really isn't the necessity to drop the CR too much.
  14. I'm with Sydneykid here, either 8.6:1 to 9:1. All it really requires is a decent tuner.
  15. Enrico, Why can't shootout accredited dyno's be compared? I take it this was a Dyno Dynamics dyno? I've seen hundreds of cars using 4th gear and they don't hit the speed limiter on the dyno, what's different about there's? I totally agree that dyno's are a tuning tool, and that aslong as the tune is good then that's all that really matters, but it's nice to have a final reading in shootout mode so that we can all compare figures without dyno bias.
  16. Hi Jeremy, Steve told me about your car, I was blown away by the figure, even though you pushed the boost quite high for the stock turbos. Bummer I wasn't there, as I'm there almost every other day. Hope you have lots of mods planned:D Don't forget that SST's is a Shootout Accredited Dyno, so the power readings should be able to be compared across all of Oz, without people thinking the figures are bullshit:D It goes to show that the R34 GTR was much more than the gentlemans agreement 206kW would suggest. The most we've had out of a stock turbo'd R32 GTR is 344rwhp on the SST dyno. Hope to see you car at the next SAUWA dyno comp:D Cheers Paul
  17. Kamikaze, Why such low compression? You'll have hell sluggish performance down low and 28psi isn't exactly high boost. My mates GTR made 616hp at all 4 with 28psi and 8.5:1 CR ARIAS pistons, he's planning on running up to 32psi for AUTOSALON, so I don't see the need for such low CR. It will be very safe cause you'll never make any damn power.
  18. Nice result. Just a couple question though. 1. Why was the run done in 3rd and not 4th? 2. Why wasn't the run done in Shootout mode? 3. One of the dips in your power curve should be the NVCS, what is the other due to? Cheers Paul
  19. Erik, I know that Xspeed ordered an advanced screen for the Jasons white R34 GTR VSPEC over a year ago, they had some issues with it, but they might be able to help with the install and info about whether it would work with the GTT.
  20. DCIEVE, I like all performance cars, be they Jap, V8's, rotory etc. But the V8's were given just as much opportunity to win as any other car there, and weren't restricted in any way, so were happy that a Skyline won, seeing as the majoiry of us own Skylines:D Yes there are plenty of cars that can make alot more power, but most cars like that aren't driven to the event like the majority of Motorvation entrants. Ant's GTR is very drivable on the street, which he does at any opportunity.
  21. Fil, That would be Danny (JUDGED).
  22. Denver is lame, and so is his sense of humor;)
  23. Adrian got his sticker off today, bought new tyres and washed his car(there request). I on the other hand lost my paperwork as it flew out the window while I was showing an S15 what power was all about:(
  24. Servicing your car is easy, but until you know how than take it to someone who knows. We know some people who put a bit too much engine oil in 1 day;)
  25. Forgive my ignorance, but I don't really know where that is:( If your near Malaga, then I'd go see Ken at Hyperdrive, if your near Welshpool, then I'd go to SST, both have a long history on working on Skylines and imports.
