.As the title says, probably a dumb question but just wondering if trying to cool the actual turbo would help in making power? I've been reading a few books on turbo's and obviously heat is a big issue. some of the pictures of turboed racing engines showed the turbo red hot. Has anyone ever made a turbo with something like a heatsink on it, or wrapped it in copper wire and pumped coolant or something around it? Or would that be just pointless? Cheers

..Well the WD40 trick worked a treat! thankyou, it was just a slipping belt, probably a stupid question but how the fark do I tension them? Couldn't see an adjustment bolt or anything?

I have a couple of different sets of tyres, If they are just sitting in the shed for ages - say 6 months or so can they degrade? Should they be stored any particular way?

....that's what I was very bloody afraid of! Just thought it wouldn't be because it happened at the same time belts were changed.

..Changed the belts on my R33 a few months back, the first few drives everythings fine, since then it's been making a fsrking horrible squeal. At first when started for a few seconds until warmed but has steadily become worse, now when I start it it squeals like a bitch for at least 5 minutes then when I drive, if I stop (traffic light etc) it starts bloody squealing again, sounds shocking. Visually it doesn't look like a belts slipping, all gauges are fine, power steering, electrics etc are fine. Belts weren't a genuine Nissan part, but a replacement part given to me by my mechanic. How can I tell which belt it is? Any suggestions? Thanks Guys.

What pump, nozzles etc did you use? Pressure regulator or just match nozzle size? What type of spray - cone, fan etc?

I'd imagine that if they are genuine, they will have 'NISSAN' stamped into them. My R34 wheels have this, don't know for sure but just presuming that R33 would be the same.

Spotted two white GT-R's leaving Wagga and heading for home this arvo, - very f'ing nice, was going the other way in my purple R33, gave you a little wave - not sure if I scored was back or was snobbed! 'Daily or every second daily driver' - Have you sat in a Cobra? hope you're under 5 foot tall, not really a daily driver is it? You might as well get one of the new Elfin Clubmans - would be about as practical! GEN3 V8, Tremec 6 Speed, Fully adjustable suspension, big brakes etc etc, 0-100 in 4.4. Obviously I haven't driven one (and probably won't ever drive one!), but apparantely they are awesome handling cars. - Get Elanoar.
