  1. Yea haha don't get me wrong I was well prepared for the critics of such a bold colour. Can't imagine what half the people say when they see it, but I'm happy with the finish result only thing that I was surprised with is that they weren't as bright as I thought they would be. (Did someone say fluro respray)
  2. As Trex just stated, I'm thinking about the posisbility of stroking out to 3.4ltr RB30 bottom end. If I decide to stroke it. oversized Pistons + Rods, already got 264mm cams will most probably go bigger full intake do over with forward facing plenum cold air intake. Etc basically planning on leaving nothing unturned until I have a reliable safe tune of 300kw-350kw. Until I go to top mount turbo. yes it will eventually consume children and small pets
  3. No dramas man couldn't leave you stranded out there by yourself that's just a dog act haha. Besides talking about cars took away from the temperature drop and waiting time haha.
  4. Just thought I'd share the start of my S2 R33 build. Started as a bit of a disappointment slowly working out the kinks and climbing the ladder of power ok so that's what I started with. Mechanically was a bit of everything from a bitza turbo stock exhaust system with the only upgrade being an excessive cannon haha. Since then (this is all since November when I bought the car) I have hit 2 kangaroos within the first 2 weeks of owning the car so body work was in Order mainly for the front left guard as the second roo did a number on it. Rego was a nightmare but before I could even get upset about Dickson my turbo decides to blow up haha all within the first 3 months. So I decided to go with this bad boy GCG genuine Garret GTX 29/30. With custom 3" dump. Upon my mechanic replacing my turbo he discovered why my old one had a short life, turns out the previous people didn't think coolant feed was relevant for a turbo..... So with that new delight under my hood I'm now running very safe tune of 230kw due to Stock Rods, injectors plus ECU. Goal is to have that upgraded within the next 6 months and run 280kw for a while until the almighty rebuild happens $$$$. whilst the chrome rims looked flashy I knew I was in for performance with that in mind I went for a set of Koya Driftech's running 18"x8.5 front and 9.5 rears, my mechanic knew I would be pushing power some day so he strongly advised running 8.5 rears was a waste of time as traction (with the amount of power my goal is to push 350 plus eventually) would be a major issue haha. I hope my pictures are uploading ok otherwise this post is just gonna look wack. So that's basically my journey so far, oh I am also running HSD coilovers, also getting my whiteline sway bars put in on Monday can't wait!!!! All work carried out on the car so far is by Trojan motor sports, capital steering and suspension. Stereo is yet to be installed hahaha. I left out some upgrades done by previous owners as I didn't want to babble to much, hope you enjoyed reading my post, any questions or interests feel free to hit me up cheers.
  5. It was a good two hours on the side of a closed off road quickest cotter run I've ever done
  6. just read your post I'm very new to this page and the whole owning a skyline thing myself haha. impressive work i must say, not many people would have bothered with such a heap so hats off to you for returning it to its glory days haha. i myself bought a bit of a lemmon to start with fortunately I'm working out the kinks. before i go any further ill admit whilst i do know a bit about cars, i am a builder that is not physically do the work myself apart from fitting my own tyres. everything else i am just entrusting other people with actual expertise in the fields haha much to everyones dislike as my friend said to me( I'm not building my car I'm paying people to do it for me haha) if you'd like to hear more about my R33 adventure feel free to hit me up and share ideas as my build has only just begun.
  7. I'm pretty anal about the fuel in my car, personally i always stick to vortex or BP can't go wrong and found no difference, running 2 different tanks back to back.
  8. hahaha good point my friend. I'm waiting for my rims to come in and then getting my brakes and sway bars fitted up and i should have a very smooth ride i just hate the time it takes.
  9. yea i do know the difference. I'm not saying I'm right about spacers I'm just going off what I've been told by many people thats why i said if the spacers are to excessive like I'm talking 20mm+ spacers not small ones. your one of the first people that have said different about vibrations so its interesting to hear that.
  10. ps. don't use spacers guys tyre fitters hate them and if the spacer is to excessive then it can cause serious shaking in the front end at speeds over 80KM/H for anyone wanting to know
  11. so a set of drift tech 18x8.5 with +30 offset won't scrub out on the fronts and should sit reasonably flush??
  12. I'm currently looking at a new set of Rims for my R33 if anyone is interested in my staggered fit chrome 5 spoke style 19x7.5 front-19x8.5 rear (spacers for caliper clearance provided) with decent tread on them let me know. but to my main purpose of this post. i am getting a set of Koya drift tech rims for my car. i will be putting slightly bigger brakes on my car eventually, if i get a set of 18x8.5 all round with a 30p offset does that seem like enough clearance for bigger brakes and also will they scrub badly on the front at full lock?? any advice would be great and no i don't want to go a staggered fit as an ex tyre fitter different width rims is just impractical for tyre life
  13. cheers for that i was actually looking at this rebuild kit the other night. only problem is i couldn't find a HP/Kw rating for those rods and since I'm going for 300Kw as a start. i really wanted something well known and can handle a lot of power.
  14. not sure if this is the right forum but would appreciate some incite anyway I'm looking to rebuild my S2 96 R33 GTS-T ground up basically. now my question, where is best place to shop online for all my internals Rods,Rings, Pistons, Valves, Springs ETC. or is it just a matter of do my research and and get what suits my needs. I'm looking for over 300Kw would appreciate any suggestions or help steering me to people that can help me.
  15. ok so my car has ran out of rego now cause it got failed by Dickson left Right and Centre.. now True or False. if it is an import skyline or further more a modified import it must go to Dickson??. if this is not true and there is a way around it i would love the help as my baby need to be back on the road i don't want my beauty becoming a project car that sits there for months at a time before driving it.
  16. They are being more then a bit of a pain with me. have you ever heard them say to anyone rectify your engine tune??? yea i know trojan only because my car 10 years ago when it came into AUS got taken to them for a full rebuild apart from rods. but when i went to see john to get some information about my car he just seemed a bit bland with me, maybe i just ask the wrong questions but yea just didn't get the best vibes which is a shame cause I've seen some of their work apart from my car and they are very good. one thing that also annoys me is no matter who you go to they all say, that persons Dyno is crap mine is the best for F$%# sake can't someone just be honest about their Dyno haha. and just last night my car on the drive home from ESP decided that its AFM would blow out on me so now i can't even drive my car 3 months I've owned it.....
  17. hi guys I'm new to this forum. and very new to owning a beautiful series 2 Gtst R33. which by the way Dickson pits WHAT A JOKE. anyway a mate of mine said if i want any work done go and see ESP (Extreme Street Performance) in Queanbeyan. any thoughts on these guys and the work they do?? cause once i get the car into my name i plan on giving him some TLC and getting some half decent power out of my beast.
