  1. Hi All, It's with some reluctance that I put this car up for sale. I haven't had it all that long, and it's been an absolute pleasure the entire time. I've invested many hours into this car, not to mention money. Unfortunately, the financial situation I am currently in makes it an impossibility for me to keep it. I wish it weren't the case, but there's no other way for me to clear the debt I currently have. Here is some information. Make: Nissan Model: R32 Skyline GTS-t Type M Mileage: 140,000km Transmission: 5 Speed Manual Colour: Factory Metallic Black Pearl (Code: 732) Location: Hills District, Sydney Complied? Yes RWC supplied? N/A Currently registered? Yes (Until February '09) Price: $11,800 Negotiable Contact: Ryan - 0405 269 810 / ryanjlewis at hotmail.com Comments: No corners have been cut during my ownership. I bought the car as an almost stock example from a gentleman in his early thirties. He and his wife had just had a baby and bought a Corolla for the day to day running about. The car has only ever been serviced by prestigious service houses using the finest quality parts. The details of the car from factory are as follows: - Factory Electric Sunroof, Windows & Mirrors - Central Locking - Digital Climate Control & Air Conditioning - Type M Options (Body Kit, Larger 4 Piston Brakes, etc.) - Factory Limited Slip Differential - Factory Driving/Fog Lights It has then been further enhanced with the following modifications: - Full Turbo Back 3" Exhaust - K&N M's Pod Filter / K&N Panel Filter & Airbox - Bilstein Adjustable Shocks - RS*R Ti2000 Springs - DBA 4000 Slotted Brake Rotors & Hawk HPS Pads - HICAS Locking Bar & Hydraulic Line Replacement - Stereo: Pioneer HU, Hertz Splits (Front), Kenwood 6x9s (Rear), Alpine Amp - Swoosh 60mm Digital Boost Gauge - White LEDs (Climate Control) - DTM Z-7 Wheels (Bronze) - 18x9.5+35 Rear (255/35/18), 18x8.5+30 Front (235/40/18) - Nismo GT Gear Shifter - Window Tinting - 3 Point Engine Immobiliser I have almost all standard parts to replace the aftermarket ones, so I am willing to negotiate on price if you do not want all mods to come with the car. We can discuss that upon inspection. The interior of the car is in fantastic condition. It still has the factory leather steering wheel and it is pristine. No sun damage whatsoever - which is quite rare. You won't be disappointed, especially if you have been to inspect any similar R32s. Images: The car was dirty when these photos were taken, but they are the most up to date images that I have. Number plates are included with the sale. I'm keen to find the right buyer for this car. I don't want someone who is going to ruin what I have built by crashing it or tastelessly abusing it. These are classic Japanese sports cars, and should be treated as such. Inspections are welcome, but I won't tolerate test pilots dropping by for a joyride. Thanks for looking.
  2. The main motivation behind my initial response to you was the knowledge of a Police presence here on SAU. Making comments like that outlining your blatent discontent with these law enforcers is probably not the best way to uphold the reputation of this club. Having said that, there is some truth to what you're saying - specifically that a lot of HP officers do take special interest in Skylines and other imports - but being someone who drives a lot each week, I can understand why. I see so many idiots out there doing things that put people in danger, and if I was an officer myself I'm sure I'd probably have a similar approach. Your post above certainly shows your penchant for wordiness, but it doesn't show much else. Your last paragraph says that the police place special focus on these imports because of what is printed in the papers? I hope you don't really think that. You think these officers need a tabloid rag to tell them that imports are the cars of choice for hoons? And the ones that they should take note of? The whole situation is a catch twenty-two. Kids go out and buy these turbocharged cars that they're really not mature enough to be in control of. They spend thousands modifying them to be faster, look better, and to overall stand out from the crowd. This just accentuates their car even further when they choose to drive aggressively. I witness arrogant driving from a whole host of drivers out on the road, but it's much easier to blend in when you're driving a run of the mill car. Skylines already have a presence on the road, so when these owners choose to put some spirit into their driving - it's like putting a target on your back. Be responsible, and you'll be fine. That post you linked to doesn't show any qualities I disagree with. Buying a Skyline is buying into the hype. You will get pulled over from time to time, but if you're law abiding, there's no issue. If you're not keen on that happening, then sell the car - because you can't change it.
  3. Be a bit more constructive with your comment, mate. Highway Patrol officers don't go around trying to solve sexual assault crimes when they're not behind a radar gun - that's a totally separate facet of the Police force. If you're making a statement about the spread of Police resources, then say so. Blanket statements like that don't do anything for anyone.
  4. Gunmetal R32 GTR with stock wheels parked on Botany Rd between Gardeners Rd and Epsom Rd just after 5:30 this evening. Didn't catch the plates.
  5. I'd very strongly advise you to get an amplifier. There's really no point having splits if you don't run them properly. They won't output to even a fraction of their potential both in quality or volume. Do yourself a favour and grab an amp. Even a cheap one will be far better than running them from the headunit.
  6. That's completely wrong. I think you're getting confused between traffic infringements and insurance claims from unnamed drivers. The registered owner can't possibly be responsible for someone speeding or running a stop sign in their car, just because it's their car. The notice should be similar to the notice from a speed camera. The notices from speed cameras have a section stating that if you weren't behind the wheel you can send the form back with the details of the driver who was in control of the car and the notice is reissued to them. It doesn't matter whether that driver consents to that or not - they were doing the illegal thing, they get the fine. It's all on the back of the form, from memory. But that doesn't really apply to the OP, because he was driving.
  7. Got the cable today so I put the car up and did the swap. New one is working a treat. The only bad thing is that looking closely at the new cable made me realise what I was doing wrong with the old one! Turns out that I just wasn't pushing the little square pin far enough into the mouth of the cable for it to work. So I now have a perfectly working cable sitting spare if anyone ever needs one!
  8. Don't be fooled into thinking that more is better. You can get great sound out of a single sub. Even a good quality 10" will sound excellent. What I would recommend doing is getting a small sealed box (sealed enclosures can be much smaller than ported, and they sound punchier) and fit a 12" sub in it. There's a sealed enclosure made by Qmax that you can get from JB. It's a good size - small enough to fit into my extremely shallow R32 boot. Then buy a nice driver for it, tune the amp correctly, and you're away.
  9. Yeah I worked out the basic routine. Shouldn't be too hard. The most boring bit is having to put the car up on jack stands again. It gets old pretty quick when you seem to be doing it every weekend!
  10. Thanks for the replies, guys. Just bought a new cable to be done with it. Now I have to get under the thing and mess about with pulling it through the bulkhead. Joy.
  11. Sounds like the contact is stuck. You may need to pull out your dash and get inside. Not too tricky to get it out. You just need a philips head screwdriver and you're away.
  12. Got some weirdness with the speedo cable in my R32 GTS-t. Had the dash out last night to fiddle with the lights. Put it all back in and had it working sweet. Then on the drive to work the speedo conked out and gave me no reading. Don't understand why this happened? Surely if it's in and working fine, it shouldn't break while cruising at 80km/h? I pulled it all apart and found everything was still there. The plastic bit with the spring inside should just sit in the mouth of the cable, correct? I don't remember there ever being another bit there that could've gone missing? I guess that the cable has actually broken, but it just seems strange. Would love to get this fixed without having to spend $100 on another cable and the time required to fit it (pain in the arse). Cheers.
  13. That'd be Mitch (mr moo). Gold plates with black text? They're from South Australia, from memory - he's going to have to give them up eventually.
  14. Was just driving behind a black R32 GTS-t with GTR wing, lowered on stock wheels. HCR-23T plates. I followed you coming off the M5 and heading down the Princes Highway. I saw the SAU sticker on the back, but I was in that black Getz (company car) so it would've been a bit confusing had I waved.
  15. Just realised that this is the weekend I'll be in New Zealand. Sorry, mate. Enjoy the drive - it's a good one.
  16. Yeah, I did want to stick around, but really couldn't spare the time - sorry bro. Good to see you guys again, though. You mean 3 R34 GTRs in the end! The white one with the bronze RE30s that turned up late was sexual. Owner was a nice guy too. Was that you Moei? Will try and get along to the Kiama cruise. It's a nice drive!
  17. I have the most premium of SAU stickers. It's one of a kind, in fact. You will all turn green with envy. I made it myself! That's right. There it is. I might even make you nice folk some more, if you're willing to pay a small fee.
  18. Yup, that's what it had. Excellent detective skills, Sammeh. Nick - that thread is in the DIY forum, I think. Definitely some cool options. I want the gold badges.
  19. Awesome looking R32 GTR this morning in gunmetal grey. It passed next to me on Beecroft Rd near Cheltenham Girls School. Had big bronze rims, possibly TE37s, with lovely offset. It also had this big 'SKYLINE' decal in the back window that I've never seen before. It looked like it could've been part of a factory window tint or something? Interesting.
  20. Not kidding, bro. I work for the record label - that's my job. I'll bring my business card to the cruise on Sunday.
  21. Oh.. That Friday night bad for Ryan. I might be able to meet you there or something, but I'll miss all the fun - and more importantly, the pizza!
  22. That's what I'm talking about. You see that little 'Creative Vibes' logo on the back of the CD? That's me, bitches. Currently browsing SAU from the very same building that brought you that album.
  23. To be honest, I don't think this is nearly as suspect as you might think. I imagine you've just mixed up the Falcon's and that it was actually some detective's working in the area on something else. They more than likely just thought it worthwhile to check the car over for drugs or whatever else. And they would've been commenting on the immobiliser as it's a good indication that the car belongs to you and you haven't stolen it. They wouldn't have defected you for the BOV as they're not highway patrol officers, so it doesn't really matter to them. Report it if you like, but I'm sure it's paranoia more than anything.
  24. All the best for the road back to 100% health, mate. I laughed at the thread title by the way.
  25. Contact details were listed earlier in the thread, so I didn't bother repeating. But here you go. Wheel Centre Repairs - 8 Pioneer Ave, Thornleigh. Turn into Duffy Ave at lights on Pennant Hills Rd, then take first right once over the train line into Pioneer. Phone/Fax (02) 9980 1125 http://www.wheelrepairs.com.au/
