  1. The kit looks amazing, even if it is a mutt! Love it.
  2. That machine is so beautiful. I must have one!
  3. Got an ignition barrel or even a complete lock set (both doors, boot and ignition)? Cheers.
  4. Thanks for the support/sympathy. It really does suck. I just hate the feeling of someone else being in the car without my knowledge. Forcing their way in. You know what I mean? I appreciate the links and pointers that have been posted. It is true that it could've been much much worse! Anyone who hasn't got an immobiliser - GET ONE!
  5. Would you consider selling the springs separate to the shocks?
  6. Hi All, Got broken into on the weekend and had them pull things apart to try and steal the car. So I need some bits to fix it up. As far as I know, this is what I need: - Upper and lower steering column shroud to cover the switches and things - All 4 locks and key to suit (ignition barrel, drivers door, passenger door and boot lock). There's more that I'll need but I'm not sure what yet as I haven't seen what it should look like. If anyone in Sydney has done this before or knows what's what, I would really love some help! Let me know what you've got and what you want for it. Cheers.
  7. Hi Guys, So it's Saturday afternoon, still daylight, about 5pm in Glebe, Sydney. I'm walking back to my car from doing some record shopping with a mate and as we're getting near the car, we see this big group of 15-20 odd teenage chavs standing on the corner near it. We round the corner and see this kid standing looking at the passenger side of the car, I don't think too much of it at this stage. We get closer and he looks at us and walks off. I put my key in the lock to open the door, and realise that the door is already unlocked. So I open it up and find the car ransacked. The steering column is exposed, and ignition leads are dangling from the dash. There's screws and broken pieces of plastic on the floormat. I say 'f**k' aloud and look straight back at the kids on the opposite side of the road who are staring back at us. I get in the car and take a closer look. The glovebox is hanging open, the ash tray and the dash pocket are both hanging open. The contents have been pulled out and left on the seats. The plastic shrouds that cover the indicator switch and ignition barrel have been torn off and are not in the car. The wires have been ripped out to get to the bottom of the barrel. I get back out of the car and these kids are walking up the road straight past us and the car. The ringleader says: 'Geez, has this been here all day? It's turbo-charged right? I wouldn't leave a turbo'd car sitting around here all day.' f**king cocky - I regret not punching him in the jaw. I call the Police (who take a surprisingly long time to reach the car depsite the station being only one street away) and give them all the info I've got when they arrive. By now I've realised that they got in on the passenger side by prying the window from the seal with a screwdriver (you can see the indentations). They're coming out tomorrow to try and get fingerprints off the car. Nothing they can do but caution the kid even if they figure out who it is. These f**king thieves were so close to getting away with the car. The only thing that stopped them was my immobiliser (thank God). They'd pulled everything out and had just the base of the ignition barrel left, which you can turn and start the car with any piece of metal you can wedge in there (screwdriver etc). Luckily they couldn't get it going or it would've been long gone. I get the impression that we only just missed out on springing them red handed, as all my stuff (watch, sunglasses, jumper, car stereo) was all still in the car. I guess they figured they'd get it going and take the stuff after they crashed it or it ran out of petrol. I've never had a car broken into, and I'm so fortunate that the immobiliser worked. The other good result (in the sense that it could've been much worse) is that my stuff was still there and the car only has some minor superficial damage in the way of scratches and stuff. What I'm not sure of is how to go about the repairs. I want them done properly and I don't want to end up with a different key for the ignition. The car is obviously insured, but it's not worth paying the excess (I doubt it'll cost that much to fix). Who do I go to, to get the repairs done properly? I spoke to Nissan about it and the parts are quite expensive ($150 off just for the plastic covers around the column). Has anyone got any input on this? Or does anyone on here have a 32 they're wrecking that I could get the locks and parts I need out of?
  8. I think he was posting up as a service just so people know that you can get them from JB. I did this last weekend and found that the one I bought from JB was a piece of shit. It was too wide to fit properly, but I managed to squeeze it in only to find that it didn't sit straight. I went to get a real Nissan one (any DIN pocket from a modern Nissan (N15 Pulsar or something) will fit), but they were closed for stocktake. So I went to Pick N Payless and got this wicked one out of a Maxima for $5. It's got a spring loaded flap at the front that tucks in underneath it and all. Even has the Nissan logo on the front. I'd recommend doing that if anyone needs one.
  9. Shit man, that really sucks. And there's usually nothing you can do to figure out who it was. I just hope it's not to expensive to repair.
  10. Hahaha. But he doesn't have the ricer wing anymore? Saw a kinda beat up looking dark blue R33 this morning turning off Wentworth Ave (?) down near Botany. Front bar was either gone or ripped off, couldn't quite tell in my rear view mirror. Had green P plates on it.
  11. Yeah there isn't much out there in the way of imports. That one N/A automatic R33 had been absolutely gutted! I was lucky that the bit I needed was a common Nissan part across most of their models. Even so, there was only one car there that still had it! I got a bit lucky. I was trying to find a couple of bits for a mates EG Civic as well, but had no luck. Win some lose some I guess. Spotted a white R34 tonight just after 5:30pm near Mascot train station. Looked nice with possibly some Starcorp Impuls on it? Hard to tell in the dark when they're spinning.
  12. Nice one, Shane. They should look good on a 34. Thanks for the positive feedback! I like 'em that's for sure. Thinking about getting them powdercoated actually..
  13. Love those new rims - so bloody nice.
  14. Ah, good to know. I posted up a thread about the same thing: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sp...32-t226055.html
  15. I found another thread on the same thing in Skyline Discussion. Apparently it's for a Nismo twin plate clutch.
  16. Ah nice one! Your 33 looked nice man - shiny. Glad you didn't look inside my 32. It wasn't so nice and tidy in there! I'd driven it to Pick N Payless with the dash and centre console pulled apart and tools and shit all over the seats and floor. Luckily they had the bit I needed on an old Maxima. How'd you get on? Find what you needed? I love that place.
  17. Hmm, interesting. I've got the same thing on the back seats in my 32. Never heard about this spray paint though? Surely it would colour over the pattern in the fabric though? Wouldn't that end up making it look worse?
  18. Damn, it was boost in PSI that I was after as well. Now I really really wish I hadn't missed out on the first group buy!
  19. Hi All, These pics are the plates on my mates R32 GT-R. Does that Nismo plate signify something special? Not sure if it's possibly an N1 or something? I've posted the VIN up to be FASTed. Thanks.
  20. Would love to get any info on this VIN please. BNR32-304228 Thanks.
  21. Yup, agreed. Paint to match.
  22. Had fun meeting you lot, so thanks for being accomodating. Will be out next time for sure. The car will have hopefully had a few changes by then. Bit annoyed at myself for forgetting my camera - sorry.
  23. I've got a mate coming along now too in his new R34. So that's one more for the crowd.
  24. 3 more spotted today. Had another black 32 GTS-t drive past me just after I parked and was walking away from my car outside the Nissan dealership at Hornsby. He put the clutch in and gave it a good rev for my benefit. Didn't catch the plates but it had some stickers on it and no spoiler. Someone on here? Then a white 33 with black rims on it (maybe Enkeis?) pulled into the carpark just after me at Pick N Payless in Blacktown. And lastly a black 33 was right behind me as I turned off Pennant Hills Rd into Oratava, just down a bit from Castle Hill Rd.
  25. Nice clean work there, mate - looks good. Personally I wouldn't mount both the mid and tweeter in the kickpanel. Maybe do the mid there and find a place for the tweeter where there's still a clear path for the sound to reach the ears of the people in the car. High frequencies are very directional, and you'll lose them altogether if they're down by your feet. I put mine up behind the mounts for the wing mirrors which works fine. Ideally they should be closer to the main driver, but it was easier this way. I've never seen that door/seat trim in a 32 before? Is that an NA model or something? EDIT: Ah, it's a 4 door by the looks of it?
