  1. Hi Guys, Really need some pictures of anyone who's got 18" wheels on an R32 GTSt with +35 offset. Actually, anyone who has 18s on an R32 GTSt at all, please post a photo or two stating what the offset is, and what the wheel width is. I'd also really like to know what size tyres are on the wheels as well. Thanks.
  2. You won't lose the free rego, you just pay the $30 ordering fee for the plate, plus a portion of the annual fee depending on how long you have left before your rego is up. For example, if you've only got one month before your rego is up, you only pay one twelfth of the annual fee for the plate.
  3. Fusion aren't as good now as they were, in my opinion, but they're decent. I used to have a Fusion 12" sub that kicked like a mule, but it wasn't cheap. Ever since they started selling the Fusion stuff at Repco, I've had my doubts about it. But having said that, they're not a bad brand. Regarding your install, keep those tweeters in the back near the speakers. If you have components up front then those tweeters will be more than enough.
  4. Here are some better photos. You can see in this second photo just how snug the fit is. You can also see why you need to remove the trim over the wiper motor to get it in as well. The good thing about this is that the box is easily held in place.
  5. You can buy a sealed enclosure for a 12" sub from JB Hi-Fi made by a company called Q-Max. It's just the right size to fit in the R32 boot, you just have to remove the trim over the rear windscreen wiper motor, slide it in, and replace the trim. The enclosure is like $89 or something? Here's a photo of the one in my boot: I prefer sealed enclosures for their punchiness, anyway. Plus they're smaller so you don't lose as much bootspace. And they look better.
  6. Spotted a gunmetal R32 in Stanmore turning into the Macca's last night. Tough looking front mount and some nice 18/19" wheels. Looked clean!
  7. Thanks mate. I've had the ESKs for a long time (~4 years?) and love them. The only thing I'd get to replace them would be a set of HSKs, but they were out of my price range at the time. There was a set going cheap on here that I nearly bought, but I'm satisfied for now. My preference is not to have 6x9s in the back, but I don't have much choice with this install. They were in there when I bought the car and the parcel shelf was badly cut to fit them in, so I've just left them and tuned around them. I hate overlapping bass from 6x9s and subwoofers, but it's not too bad with the current tune.
  8. Thanks mate. Yeah I didn't know either, but it's just what they give you for this style of plate, apparently. It's better though because the fullsize plate on the back is much better suited, in my opinion.
  9. Received mine yesterday, thanks mate.
  10. New plates are in the building. Didn't take long. One slimline plate and one full size plate, which I didn't realise. But should look good on the car.
  11. Got the TE37s and decided you didn't like them afterall?
  12. Sounds pretty good, I'm just considering whether I really want that turbo timer. Let me get back to you.
  13. Yep put me in for an R32 set in the group buy.
  14. Do me a deal on the turbo timer and the bleed valve? You know you want to.
  15. How long did you lot have to wait for your personalised plates? The full 3 weeks?
  16. I'm there, homies. It'll be good to meet you all and put faces to names.
  17. Spotted a silver R33 in the tunnel on the Eastern Dist on Friday morning. Plates were A**-91E I think. Then saw a black R34 GTT in the carpark behind the shops in Mascot on Botany Rd. Clean looking, I think it was an Asian guy driving? And lastly saw a white R32 for just a second on the Cumberland Highway this arvo at about 3pm.
  18. That's worse than just an alignment, Anna. Sorry to be the one to break the bad news! That's suspension/strut damage and won't be cheap to fix.
  19. Perfect on a 34. Get 'em if they're available, before someone steals your idea!
  20. Hah! I'm surprised it took so long for people to get it as well. It's R32 but doubled, as mentioned. R R 3 3 2 2 Might be more obvious on the car. As for being $$ plates? Nope. They're a standard format so it's just the regular $160 a year for this colourway. Pricey compared to the normal black on white, but I reckon they'll be hot on my black 32 with bronze wheels on the way.
  21. Just wanted to share. If you see me around, say so in the spotted thread!
  22. Spotted a yellow R34 with a black bootlid and black front bumper pulling out of a service station on Blaxland Rd in Campbelltown last night about 9pm. Had stickers on the front door and a large GT wing on the back. Not really my cuppa, but that doesn't matter, does it?
  23. Just saw two R33s at Thornleigh Macca's. A white GTR and a blue/green GTST (I assume) with white rims. Anyone from on here?
  24. Haha. Great link. Nothing ghetto on my Skyline, I learnt my lesson on my previous cars. My first car was an E30 BMW. The stereo install on that was just so so bad. I never actually got around to securing the amp and sub in the boot, so they would just slide about all the time. I forced my 6.5" splits into 5" mounts by using long screws and angling them into the holes. The speakers ended up sitting out from the mount about 3cms, but they hung in there (most of the time). But the worst was the headunit. I couldn't be bothered taking off the whole dash to mount it properly, so it just sat loose in the dash wish Blu-Tac jammed down either side of it to try and get it to stop sliding out onto the gearstick whenever I had to slow down. I loved that car. But I love cable ties more.
  25. Spotted a blue R34 on George St about an hour ago (6:30pm). It was driving in the other direction past me but I missed seeing the front. It could've even been a GTR? Had LED tail lights on it. Plates were 'SIANA', I think.
