  1. I just got my new AFM genuine and nope still same problem what a load of shitz, I tried starting without the AFM and it idles perfectly and with the AFM it readjusted itself and stayed on after I plugged it in while the car was running. Still won't let me go over 2000rpms zz
  2. I just ordered a new AFM I will let everyone know if it actually fixed it !! Thanks guys
  3. CAR won't start after POD SWAP So I originally had a BLITZ Pod filter on and decided to change it to a K&N Pod, and it was driving okay till about 20mins after a spirited run, at a red light it jumps into some sort of limp mode where I can't rev it over 2000Rpm even on Neutral. Had to make it home on 40kms. Engine light came on as well :S Its a R34 GTT Automatic 98 I have tryed resetting the ECU (battery disconnect) same results. I then swapped back my BLITZ Pod and now the car won't start at all, could it be my AFM ??
  4. I Unplug the AFM and tried starting it up but NOPE, its cranking and it kicks in but then cuts out immediately LOL what now ?
  5. So weird now my car won't start up, it's doing the same thing again LOL, I'm getting a new AFM and see what happens
  6. Haha dam but did the problem happen as soon as you start the car up ?? And I'm thinking of buying a New AFM and replacing it. I've tried spraying it down with electrical and contact cleaner but nope seems the same when i take it for a drive. 1.It would drive Fine past 60kms till it gets a little warmer or after 3mins and then BAM it just won't let me rev past 2000rpm and i'll be limping the car home on 40kms LOL ! 2.Then turn off the car, and turn back my ignition on and i got my A/T light flashing ! after about 10mins, I start the car up and its back to Normal Then repeat 1. Weird problem, it could be the AFM because it previously had a BLITZ POD filter and i swapped it for a bigger K&N POD filter. After I changed it that night i went out for a quick drive and climbed to 100Kms safely while going hard and after a RED light ( car was idling fine ), when i accelerated it wouldn't let my Rev go past 2000RPM, i thought at that moment my car just died on the spot ! After that went home changed New Spark Plugs and Coil Packs cause I thought that was the problem but NOPEE. Still happening ):
  7. This thing is when I start the car it will drive normal and goes over 2000rpm but after about 3 mins or so it will just start to choke and chug and can't even drive over 40kms
  8. What's this Cable/Cord for ?? So it's connected to the radiator at the bottom corner but it's not connected to anything !! Do you guys know where it's meant to be connected too ?? Here's some photos My car is a R34 GTT,
  9. SKYLINE WON'T drive normally So after thrashing it down the road, my car went into a LIMP mode, now when I drive, it won't go over 2000rpm, even when parked I can't rev it pass 2000, it's like hitting a rev Limiter. So I suspected the AFM, spark plugs and Coils so, I cleaned the AFM (sprayed it down) and replace all my coils and spark plugs. Car starts up great but the problem is still there, what could it be? I have reset my ECU already. Before the limp mode starts, the car will drive fine till about down 3mins after it will just LIMP MODE the whole way, once I start my car again it will be normal for abit and then again LIMP My Skyline is R34 Triptronic. My engine light has always been on before this occur so I can't tell if another problem popped up so I have to check on that. I think also my A/T flashes before I start my car IMG_2500.MOV
  10. Now everything it out back together the car runs but the PROBLEM OF THE LIMP MODE IS STILL THERE !! I can't even rev pass 2000rpm, even when parked! Something must be playing up and I'm thinking it's the AIR FLOW METER. Ever since I changed the Pod Filter the problem started, but the thing is I changed it back to normal but it's still limping, I can't even hit 60Kms on the road :0
  11. Have you tried resetting the ECU, by taking your battery out and let it reset ?
  12. LOL so I tried starting her up after work and guess what, it started weak and actually stayed on, Tried it again 10mins later and wallah it's starting up and running all good again ! Haha what a confusing moment, what in the world happen ??
  13. The ecu is stock and fuel line is good, I think it's the AFM since I change the Pod around and maybe it bounce around too much and played up perhaps
  14. Okay after installing these, I'm back to square one, it wasn't the coils or the spark plugs! I'm still having trouble getting the car started :S HELPP
  15. Because I get them cheap as cause I know a guy from Repco
  16. Turns out to be the Coil Packs and I also changed the spark plugs to BKR6EIX-11 now it's starting up and running much much better than ever before, thanks guys
  17. Rx line, thanks for that I'll give it a shot and see if that does the trick
  18. I replaced it with bkr5eix11 cause I had it sitting in my rooms for years for my NA/R34 which was recommended. And nah doesn't seem like a fuel issue, I got half a tank and I can definitely hear the fuel pump just before starting the car
  19. SKYLINE WONT START ! HELP !! So hear me out first guys, hear the full story it might help !! i changed my Blitz Pod filter to a K&N one Car was running fine, and on my way back home I decided to give it abit in the tunnels, after giving it all the sudden my car started choking or chugging and I thought my engine died, but it was still running, it runs fine till I step on the pedal half way it chugs and struggles and pretty much wont let me Go over 3,000 RPM so I thought maybe it's the POD that's acting up the AFM cause it felt like it was the case. So the next day I changed it back to the Blitz that I originally had earlier on and went to drive it around and it was back to normal "woooooooo" and as I got close to home it did it again the chugging and choking like it was gonna die, so I was f.. could it be my spark plug or coils. So the next day I changed my Spark Plug, it was a BKR5EIX-11 which isn't recommended but I had it laying around so I replaced it, my old spark plug was black and burnt on the tip so I thought yeah maybe this should do the trick! Plug everything back in and.... it CRANKS AND STARTS FOR A SPLIT SECOND AND immediately dies out and I only have one conclusion left, the Coilpacks but I want to see what you guys think -every hose is plugged in correctly and tightly -strange thing is that before I change the spark plug the car was running but a weak start up so I thought Spark plug but now I don't even know anymore. PLEASE HELP ME GUYS !! Could it be the coilpacks ?? Could the spark plug have anything to do with it, even if it's not recommended it should still start up, it's gapped at 1.1 which is how the plugs came (Bkr5eix-11)
  20. Just replace the cluster, best thing you can do
  21. I tried everything and I gave up, I bought a second hand cluster and it works AND FIXED ALL THE PROBLEMS !!!
  22. The thing is that, even if I didn't wire up the tachometer signal, the tachometer should turn on with just the Red wire and black wire running. But in this case it's not. Because I've wired up my tachometer wires all up but maybe got the wrong wire. I even tried my Red wire on my cigarette wire but no power still The wiring instruction says Red - 12v Power Yellow - Illumination (Light) Black - Ground Green - Tachometer signal
  23. No I didn't, but the ecu wires come up to the cluster anyways, the only problem is that the after market tachometer doesn't even turn on, let alone have a rev signal. Maybe my power source or ground is not properly wired
