  1. I hate it when that happens. Anyone save it by any chance?
  2. R32 + Rb25DET = big smiles all around. Look forward to seeing it!
  3. I'm going up to Splendour around then, and the datto needs some work before it makes its first debut Very jelous, take pictures for us.
  4. I can honestly say that some of the speeding ticket that are issued area bit harsh in nature - just like some of the police. The stats are skewed to make speeding look like more of an issue than it currently is. The government does enjoy the money it makes from fines.. Right now, we have operation Southroads in town, and although the number of cops has doubled, I can promise you our crash / death toll won't change a bit from the extra "attention". But no one can justify doing almost double the limit in a built up urban area. I don't care who you are. Thats just stupid behavior. You got caught, ha ha. You deserve to loose yor licence so that when it comes back, you'll actually respect it, and hopefully the other people around you. You want the type of buzz, get to the track and get it out of your system. The roads are for everyone, and certainley not your private racetrack. I don't care if you've done $500,000 worth of professional driver development, have had extensive race experiance, raced F1 (and won the championship). That's too fast for the area. If you were really a good driver you'd have known that. I note the guy that started this post hasn't come back.... no suprise there...with his massive respect for the law, he's probably out driving
  5. I got the red one too. Very very very happy with it. Especally for the price. Detail is awesome, just wish I didn't break the wiper off it
  6. That makes me want to cry.. make sure you get even with that gutter..........
  7. Any exhaust shop wouldn't find it hard to fit a GTS-T exhaust to a GTR.
  8. Ooops. I like GTS-T's Nick is totally right. GTR wise, the R32 and R33 aftermarket items share the same design, but if you were going to go a stock item, you'd use something from a 33. The R32's stock pipes are pretty ordinary really Twin entry dumps for 32/33 are about the $500-$550 mark I think, I'll have to check.
  9. Yeah, really nice clean example well cared for in the best colour. I'd buy it
  10. If it ain't turbo, this isn't a GTR, please change your post title. Cheers
  11. That was the worst movie I've seen in some time. It had some good bits, the drifting and girls were sweet. I really liked the mountian run and the shots in the city. Great work. But the issue for me lay in the plot. Who throws the keys the their hot ride to some dude who they have never met before so they can have a go at drifiting?????? That aside, there were too many story shots, and not enough driving. I didn't think the acting was that great either, but it sure beat the last two. But yeah, I'll wait for the DVD before I take a look again. I am excitied that it'll help lift the profile of drifting . Hey Viper, I don't think that street racing ever is a great idea, even if you think whatever its about is important.
  12. I supply wholesale dumps / exhausts up this way now a days if anyone wants anything.... I think they are around the $370 mark in 3mm mild. Also can get coatings or stainless. I should mention these are dump / front pipe combos, going from the rear of the turbo to the cat. I'm sure the R33 and R32 are the same. My old 32, and ARM85's 33 had the same dump pipes. (Actually, his was fitted to my car for a short time). So, in aftermarket terms there should be no difference. If you buy a pipe to suit 33, its should suit 32. Assuming they are both turbo, of course. The R34 is slightly different I think, and has a different design. Cheers!
  13. Some take pics someone... I've had plenty of issues with black ice over the years (I lived in the high country for some time). There is just nothing you can do once you've hit it, even if you are Ayrton Senna. I've lost a car myself on the ice, I wasn't pushing on, I was being *very conservative*, car came unstuck at 20kays in a straight line (in a 50-60 zone) no matter what I did it juwst started spinning, and hit a gutter (prolly at 10 kays). Its truly like have a bunch of ballbearings thrown under your wheels. I'm just glad to hear Frink is fine. These things can turn out much worse.
  14. I've picked up a 1980 Datsun 200b GX, 4 speed manual. Its totally imaculate. Its white with a brown cloth interior. It's not quite right in every way. Its an aussie one, not an imported SSS. The lows kays (68000 today) are for real, and it was bought from deceased estate by a family friend, then by me for $2000. It was stored on and off - thus the low kays. I bought it for myself to run around in while I was finding a GTR, however its just in too good a condition for what I wanted to do.... The dash isn't even cracked. I thought it was rougher than it turned out to be. In fact, the biggest issue is that the gloxbox lid is cracked (it got stuck closed at some stage). I don't think that'd be hard to replace. Only one hubcap has minor gravel rash, and a minor press on the top (between the bonnet and screen). One piece of side trim is missing, and being granny spec the corner of the bumpers have all been kissed. I think you can just straighten them. People give parts for these things away I'll get some photos up later in the week, but imagine going back to around 1984 and looking at one. I just did the head gasket, had a full service done and put new tyres on the front. Engine, gearbox and running gear seems totally imaculate (clutch is a bit slippy - been ridden a lot I'd say, but I've got a new kit for it). I've done hoses, flushed the radiator, and that sort of thing. I've been using it to get to work for a month or so, and am very happy with it. Always starts, uses 10L/100km in town. Its been driving most days for the past 2 months or so. So its not all sized or the rubbers all about to go. The old L20 is a very heathly little motor. Rego till Sept 06. I spent a total of $2800 including the car over the last 2 months. Will sell for $2200 NEG. I don't know if datto's with ever be collectable, but this would be the one to do it with. Living inland its whole life its got NO RUST, even the paint is ok - not worth repainting. **EDIT** I found a little bit of rust on the top lip of the boot surround. Its surface only and has been treated. Cheers!!!
  15. ..... hope you didn't pay 24 g's for it then...... I hate hearing about GTR purchases going belly up.
  16. Did 32's come with premium sound at all, and what did it look like? Mine was aftermarket when it got here.
  17. How was it guys???? I'm going tonight
  18. I have a contact that sells PWR gear below retail, and they do water to air stuff. I've seen a few cars with them fitted, and they seem to work really well with no loss of boost, I considered doing it to my line just to be different. Anyhow: http://www.pwr.com.au/pwr/index.asp
  19. Hey Tridentt, got a spare seat there for the cruise?
  20. Sweet! Nothing better than getting your ass handed to you buy a full breed race car on the track. I wish I had a car worth bringing
  21. I paid $1500 with 8 months rego, newish tyres, parts (including a boss kit which I had a wheel for) and a full tank of feul Given the condition, I was happy enough with that, all the other runabouts I was looking at were the $3500 - $4000 range. So, its a 1980 200B GX, with brown cloth and white paint. 4 speed manual. Been in the one family for ever, (since new) never had a young driver I don't think. Only issue is the glovebox is cracked and stuck shut - was going to find one at a wreckers. Its got a full history, and yeah. I can't imagine finding another one like it. I'll give it a wash over the weekend and post some pics up for ya's Even the hubcaps (which I took straight off!) only have one with minor gutter rash, the others are all perfect. Stupid
  22. Yeah, same deal here. EVERYTHING is immaculate, its just silly. It'll make a good cheap runabout
  23. Hey all, I'll get some pics up in the next day or two, but I'm now the very very proud owner of a Nissan 200B... Well, Datsun/Nissan.... sounds better as a Nissan though. So, whats under the hood? Well, shes actually stock as a rock, and has as total of 67500 kms, and thats no typo. Even has the stocker hubcaps and everything works. No cracks in the dash - its like going back to about 1982. Was going to use it as a runabout, but its kinda too nice for that. Am actually considering selling it on, there must be somone who want one of these things in good nick. ?? Either way, I'll be looking for a GTR soon.
  24. I had a very bad experiance buying from this guy - play with care. He can not refund you if anything goes wrong. He then lied about refunding me, and nothing ever showed up.
