I thought the nats was getting more import friendly as time wore on?
-
That would actually be a really good job, that pay is great Deni isn't even THAT bad, its a haul back to the city... but I've worked there before and survied
-
Just had a fire straight out the front of my unit. We live near the river with some bushland - and there was a rappidly growing grassfire. Luckily it didn't get far before the fire peeps put it out. Probably kids that lit it. But it shows how careful people ned to be.
-
Even old Wagga got some smoke last week from the vic fires, I can't imagine what it must be like further south. So, fellow SAU'ers - be fire safe this summer. Don't throw your butts out the window, light fires or drive on grass after burnouts.
-
Don't go there. If that guys wants your buisiness he'll order you the part, and you'll pay when it arrives. But I'd suggest looking around the jap wreckers online if you can - should be able to get overnight from Sydney and save yourself a few bucks.
-
I've seen this thing close up and it looks a really tidy unit. Sounds good too. Never seen it getting flogged around town either (A rarity in Skylines out here). A drive home from Wagga in your new line would be awesome too, so give a fella a hand - and grab a bargan.
-
The only reason I upgraded - leaking.
-
Hey champ, Have a look - the light blue thing is the part I'm talking about. It worked great, and saved welding. Got a base plate cut from the old BOV at a laser cutting place, then got an elbow and the BOV adapter welded on. Total cost - $50.
-
Or you can get an adapter made for the standard spot with a 90 degree bend in it. That what I had on my old car - so you can use the stock spot and change back easy if you have to
-
I wasn't so much worried about the rubber as the total lack of care, and lack of parts. I could have handled the rubber being there if the car was sweet. Not that you should have to.

Amen Richard, I'm STILL paying off from when XXX XXXXXXXXXXX ripped me off in late 2004. Its not ok that workshops blatanley do the wrong thing, then get off scott free. We as a collective should encourage buisiness to do the right thing. I hope I've cost the workshop that ripped me off heaps of money. They deserve it as far asI'm concerned, and I'd hate to see fellow SAU'ers go through the pain of paying for things twice. For those who don't already know.... Just for the record - this is MY story, and the total truth. I got a quote from XXX XXXXXXXXXXX to get some work done to my '32.(Front mount, pump, regulator - the usual first stage mods). It looked ok and I thought I'd get it done (before I found the forums). When I picked my car up it had rubber in the rear gaurds. I was pretty suss of that, and wasn't offered an explination when I asked other than it must have been there already. They told me it had 176 kws (flywheel) which I doubt, it was running WORSE than before. I was charged $500 more than my quote, which was not explained - other than a general increase in costs. I paid though, and got the car out of there. Then, on the way home my boost controller blows (power down, no lights). Im going WTF?? Get home, find there is no gromet for the wiring. Its of course shorted. There is no grommets on anything they'd done. Get it on a hoist, no hi flow cat that I paid for, although mine had been gutted. Was charged $400 for this. They were not happy that I found this, and claimed it was a hiflow. After many calls (and legal threats) they sent me the wrong part (A cheap nasty cat, not the one I paid for), however I will not see any labour costs back ever. Oh, also left 3 boost leaks, Boost gauge stopped working after 2 weeks. I had to take my car to another shop and spend the same money again. The only thing fitted properly was a bolt in cooler! It caused a rethink of the way I wanted to make power, however it wasn't a cheap lesson. All up, that cost me well over 4.5K - plus getting the work done again (total around 8K). Since then, I was invloved with a Dyno day last year - a GTR turned up, freshly worked by XXX XXXXXXXXXXX and apparently making 280 RWKWS with a set of N1's and the backup stuff. A few guys I knew knew the guy, and had told me all about this "animal" GTR. People here don't get how fast those things can be... anyhow. It rolled out 235 rwHP!!!!! (Which is around the 170 -180 mark I think) I've never seen a guy look so sad about blowing so much money. I never found out how he went with them, but he peeled their stickers off while there! The dyno guy was suss they weren't even the right turbos. I've named them before, and with a PM their name is also yours.

Thats right - damn factory seats. GTR seats are very nice however, and a very cool upgrade.

Wagga has had heaps of break in and home invasions over the past week, as well as a few cars going missing and heaps broken into (around here its usually a broken window). When I had to park in "uncovered" parks, I always had a bomb just to drive there, a clublock just to make niking it a little bit harder and left it open. It was gone through a few times, but never went missing. It sucks that you can't just drive whatever you want to work though.

For Sale - Tell Everyone You Know!
oscar32 replied to Veilside R33's topic in Australian Capital Territory
I love these, they are a great learners bike, or even a cheap runabout / fun machine. They cost bugger all rego, use no feul... Compared to big bikes they don't chew through chains, tyres etc at the same rate. And they CORNER Awesome. GL with the sale champ! Oh, and 20000 rpm is never bad -
Can you use ideal seat co rails at all, they are really good - they cost though ($550 for the pair in my old car) but you keep the whole factory looking rail and don't need an engineers....

The gong goes to Danny. Thanks everyone for their offers and support. Will be very useful to pick up the spare space. Cheers!!!

looks like a site issue to me.

Ok, so we have a lift but no storage - any takers??? It would be great to get rid of it this weekend, or next at the latest. As I said, a cleaver investor could make some money off this stuff I'm sure witha bit more time than I.
-
Terminal is exactly right. I need the space - and am giving you the parts as payment for getting them I guess. There would have to be at least some useful stuff down there. Will get some pics in tomorrows light, as I said there is at least some useful stuff there. Thanks for the kind words also guys.
-
I pmed you mate
-
Yeah, its just a bunch of stuff. Will do some pics later, but as I said its roughly a wagon load. If its not gone soon I might have to tip it
-
Again, Datsun 200b is the only way I'd want to show up. To the untrained eye, there is hardly any difference other than the doors

Hi Guys, Had a few unfortunate things occur over the past few months, including the death of my father -my only relative - meaning my Skylines plans are on hold - at least for a while. Not super happy about it I can tell you. There are some big issues, not least of which right now is space. Thats where you can help I need to get rid of a heap of R33 GTS front cut leftover bits. There is a whole heap of interior panels, blinker arms - wiper bottles, brake lines, glovebox, heater box and piping, - look heaps of stuff. I'll get some photos over the next few days - but its free to a good home. It got to be at least $500 worth of stuff. So, whats the catch? I'd really prefer a known SAU ACT memeber gets it, so its given good use around the ACT - not just someone who'll sell for max profits - if I had more time I'd do that myself. The other thing is you'll need to bring a wagon/ute/trailer/van (not a Skyline - may not fit) and take it all away.. I live in Wagga Wagga, about 2 1/4 hours away. It'll only be one good wagonload - but I really need the space soon (in the next 2 weeks maximum). I'm not interested in seperating any little parts you need - if I was going to do that I'd be selling it myself. It all goes in one lot. So, any takers? I'd hate to end up throwing something useful away here.
-
Would 32 rims do you? I've got a good condition set with about 80% nankangs. All yours for $200.. I'll even meet you halfway
