  1. Are you a dealer? You have a few Stagea in the background. Are they for sale too.
  2. SITC $145 http://firesport.ipspace.com/?section=item...w&id=101689
  3. I thought I would add this photo I found of a car in Japan with a auto centre console that has been modified to suit a manual gear box and hand brake. I think I could be done better, but it looks possible
  4. I got the brake pedal out. It helped doing it in the daylight I also removed the instrument cluster which helped to see where the bolt was hidden
  5. Sydneykid is like a cat playing with a mouse
  6. You would have to remove the hood lining to get to the nuts on the underside of roof
  7. If I rip out (possibly distroy) the plastic a/c duct I can get to the last bolt, but I do not want to damage it. I may have another look tomorrow with more day light to see what is needed
  8. Who has fitted a manual pedal? I tried to remove the auto one tonight. What a bitch I have removed the 4 nuts that hold the brake booster and also removed the brake booster I have dropped the steering column down get to the last bolt that holds the brake pedal bracket. The last bolt is above where the brake light switch is, but you can not get access to the bolt as there is a a/cond duct in the way. I have tried to remove the duct with no luck. I t this satge it looks like I will have to remove the whole dash, which I am noy keen to do The other option I thought of is to modify the auto brake pedal while it is still in the car. The only difference between the auto and the R33 manual pedal is the foot pad size and the auto pedal has a approx 10mm offset in the leg down near the foot pad. My Idea was to cut/grind the foot pad down to the same size and location/spacing between the clutch and accelerator pedal as the manual one What do you guys think?
  9. Yes they will Along with all r32's, r33's and Stagea's, but not R34 GTT rwd
  10. All depends were you live There is a guy/company in Brisbane that will do it for approx $250 including a flywheel machine....bargin I have heard of upto $700-800 for labour So shop around
  11. You can try www.japanparts.com for new Nissan parts Best if you can provide them with a part number I have used them before with most parts at approx 70-80% of Nissan Aust prices recent quote was for a R34 GTR Vspec front diffuser Approx $850 delivered compared to over $1200 trade from Nissan here.
  12. I have not used the clutch yet, I am still converting my car to a manual Something Jim did say, was the 260RS clutch has a lighter clamp pressure than a 33 GTR. So with a few hard launches and the extra weight of the Stagea, no wonder they do not last. Rust, I have some in my drivers door which will be fixed soon when my r34 front end gets painted What did you want to know?

  14. I just had a clutch rebuilt last week from Jim Berry. The originally was built by Direct. Jim found some pretty rough workmanship from the last rebuild. It now healthy 3000lb clamp which should be heaps for my Rb25DET
  15. 33 and 34 GTR factory wheels are 9 inch wide with a +30 offset The rear fits but they are right on the body line and actually look too far out Don't run wider than a 245 tyre on the rims and you will need to roll the rear guards to clear if you lower the car too far I have 34 GTR wheels and I can say I am not totally happy with the fit. If you find a set of aftermarket GTR wheels, most have a smaller offset like +20 to +10. These will sit out even further Best stick with a 9 inch +35 (may need to check strut clearance of front) or go to a smaller width of 8 or 8.5. The attached calculator is your best friend http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html
  16. One small problem I have a r34 handbrake which is identical to a R33 one One of the two mounting lugs on the handbrake will need to be bent to the right angle to match the bracket. The Stagea handbrake must be slightly different
  17. I have R34 GTT front and rear calipers and disks and they bolt staight on It is just the brake lines that are different The r34 GTT rear brake line will replace the Stagea ones The front I will probably use the Stagea lines and either shorten the bango bolt approx 3-4mm so it does not bottom out in the caliper, or the other option is to remove the seat in the bottom of the caliper so the bango bolt does not bottom out The other choice is to spend $300-400 on custom lines
  18. I removed mine the other day to fit r34 disks and had the same problem Give them a hit with a rubber mallet or hammer, they are generally rusted onto the hub If that fails, there are some 6 or 8mm tapped holes in the disc to use a puller if needed Are you changing the calipers to GTR items aswell? If so, what are you using for the front brake lines? New lines, or are you modifing the stagea bango bolt to suit the calipers?
  19. Here are some pictures of the new handbrake bracket and where it gets mounted in the car The bracket needs part of it removed. It is made up of 2 peices spot welded together. The part in the photo with the part number is not need as it is already in the car mounting part of the air bag sensors. remove it from the bracket by drilling out the 2 spot welds. There is also a mounting bracket for the auto centre console welded to the gearbox tunnel. This will need to be removed to mount the handbrake bracket. Drill out 3 spot welds. The pic's are of a series 2, just incase a series 1 is different
  20. I have added some new pic's of my (slow) progress Have fitted and painted the radiator support aswell as painting most of the engine bay with the engine still in Had to remove engine bay wiring, brake lines, abs unit, brake booster etc Came up really good esp compared to the factory paint job Also half way thru fitting R34 GTT calipers and disc front and rear aswell as a manual gearbox conversion
  21. Since you are Japan you have a heaps of options There are heaps on Yahoo auctions suitable for the Stagea and drift Tein make several different sets I have Tein Wagon's which have 4kg Front and Rear, but they also have Tein HR which are approx 10/8kg F/R
  22. I had the option of 3 GTR boxes when I bought mine R32 GTS4 $350 (not as strong as a gtr box) R32 GTR $500 R33 GTR $800 and only 46k's, so I bought this one There are a few guy's on this forum with RWD models, maybe they could post up some pic's of the underside of their car for you, so you can get a idea Aren't Stagea's the same length as a r33 in wheel base? That way the r33 GTST tail shaft will fit? Where are you located Japan?
