  1. Maybe if everyone donates lots and lots of money to the forums we could get a class action going?! :uh-huh:
  2. Sounds like a plan! You pay for the tickets and I'll be there! Hey it's ONLY $2,500! lol
  3. I've just realised I'll be in the UK then and it could be a bit far to drive! sorry guys, NEXT TIME!
  4. well I know what I'm doing tommorow! I get exactly the same thing. The flat spot at about 2k revs, just before coming on boost! Plus my car is a bitch to start on a cold morning. Would this fix the occasional staling in reverse as well? Yay, I so can't wait to do this! I thought the flat spot was just cause it was cold and the engine is getting a bit old! I had the same thing with a pulsar I had many years ogo. Plus one of my mates gets the same thing on his CC lancer. I don't think it will work on the lancer though 'cause it has a carby. Cheers Joel!! Just one thing: if so many ppl have this, does anyone know if it's done for a reason. I.e. to reduce engine wear when cold? Or is it just wear & tear that causes it to wind up like this?
  5. weetbix: I dunno, look at the new 350z! Gheze I reckon some of the ppl who did those other pics should be working for Nissan! They look way more appealing then what Nissan came up with!
  6. a5h: haha that's funny! But you've gotta do the whole thing out of "in the red" and put the nails through the tennis ball to take their tires out! lol
  7. SamBo: I agree, P plates are "Pick on me" plates. Personaly for the $100 fine in the ACT for not displaying them, I always risked going with out. I got pulled over once and the cop said "Should you be displaying P plates?" and I said "No, It's only six months you have to display them for now isn't it?" the cop says "I dunno, ring Road Registry on Monday and check it out" LOL Then there is the old "Some bastard floged 'em in the car park!"
  8. Actually I had a cop who failed to give way to me at a round about! No lights or anything! I hooted him, he went right around the round about, put his lights on and went to pull me over. I pulled in, he pulled in behind me, I wound down the window then he drove off!
  9. that's my oppinion. The streets that need to be 50 (i.e. the ones without a big nature strip out the front of houses), the streets arn't wide enough to do anything like 60 in anyway!
  10. I was just wondering what everyone else thinks about this? I think the 50km/h trial has been somewhat poor. It is very badly signed and there is a huge amount of confusion to all concerned. In the learner drivers book it says the speed is the last sign you saw, so if the last sign you saw was 60, when does it become 50? For this reason the ACT gov't now want to replace all 60 zones with 50 zones. Personaly I think the government should produce some evidence that the 50 zones have reduced accidents involving pedestrians. If anythink I reckon accidents have rissen due to the increased confusion! I think if the ACT wants to use 50 zones they should follow NSW's suit and put them on selected streets and actually have 50 signs. That is, not just the "50 km'h area signs". If you ask me, this is just another revenue raiser! I think the gov't should spend some money on educating drivers rather then new speed limits! This would be far more effective in reducing accidents. I also think people should have to do a road rules test EVERY TIME they renew their license. Just my 2c. (well more like $1.75 worth, but hey!)
  11. yeah I'd be up for it! :burnout:
  12. Frosty: Yeah it's lost it's toughness! I don't reckon it's got that street cred look! If I had the money I'd buy a top secret R34GTR over the R35. But as I don't have the money I'll get back in my R33! I guess the real question is, the ppl who have $150k to spend on a car, what do they think? That's what Nissan wants to know. I mean for $150k you are more expensive then an M3, $5k cheaper then a Merc SLK32AMG, and for $20k less you could get a Porsche Boxter S. You could almost buy 2 Lotus Ellises! These are the things Nissan need to think about. After all it's what their target market thinks, not what I think that matters. I couldn't justify $150k on a car!
  13. if a cop tried to bust u for it, I guess u could try and argue it was factory? Depends how much the cop knows about Skylines! Like someone said, the GT starlets rear logo glows green!
  14. Very nice! Anyone wanna give me a loan? I actually heard a rumor that they were going to bring out a V12! If they did a twin turbo V8 that would be awesome! But hey, I'd settle with a V6 twin turbo. I think the R34 still looks better. The R35 (and the new z) look too concept car ish (i know the r35 is a concept car!). Just my 2 cents!
  15. Da_Man: I just read ya post. It goes without saying DON'T SIGN ANYTHING! Unless you have sought legal advice and you know your rights are being protected!
  16. followed through a drive through! Now that is random! I reckon if u get tailgated by a cop and it's seriously dangerous you should write down the rego and go to the cop shop and lodge a formal complaint. They might not do much about it though. I'll never forget the time I told a cop in a servo his back tires were bald! lol
  17. Sorry, I couldn't resist correcting your spelling and grammar!
  18. I have the OptiBlue HID globes in my R33. My dip beam still isn't anywhere near bright enough! Does anyone have any sugestions? Would getting the exterior lenses all cleaned up make a big difference? Does anyone know anywhere in Sydney that does this and could reseal the lights? Mine leak too!
  19. I heard DBA do an upgrade kit which gets u bigger front discs, high performance pads, and braded brake lines. There is an adaptor that also comes with it to allow the standard callipers to fit these discs. My workshop wanted $1500 for it.
  20. yeah I remember the first time I drove mine in the wet, I got wheel spin up a hill till I got into 4th lol :burnout: Plus I found it drifted way too easily around corners with the standard 225 tires. I got new wheels and now I have 265s on the back which is good cause u only drift when u want to
  21. I found the 5000 series on the site: http://www.dba.com.au/5000series/5030.asp for the Skyline that is. They are DBA 5928 I actually organised some today through my usual tune up shop cause he said he'd sell to me at the trade price he pays dba, which he reckond would be cheaper then a bulk buy. I'd be interested to know if he's right so keep me informed!
  22. it'd be cool to watch though, on 2nd thoughts disconnect the back brakes and put the biggest brembos u can get on the front. :bahaha:
  23. 33Spec2: dunno I haven't heard anything about getting parts removed and shipped seperately but I have heard that you have to get them removed and provide evedince that they have been destroyed. No doubt someone like Prestige would know the deal. I agree a stock car is less likley to have been thrashed, I bought a stock car for that reason. But if you are importing it and getting stuff removed, it's still just as likley to have been driven hard.
  24. Okay pictures are uploaded: http://www.pbase.com/jredgrove/wakefield_park_24303 They arn't great but it's what happens when u don't take them yourself! lol :burnout:
