  1. It's more of a of a time issue. There's Japanese car show like the day or two after I am expecting to get rwc. My main guy lives too far, does cashies on the side... He got rid of the missfire by adjusting TPS... If I do have time I will try get it in to a local guy to get AFR'S checked out. For the mean time I'm doing the best I can myself... Changing plugs and filter.

  6. Finally got the FJ running good. Mechanic said change plugs and fuel filter. What is the best filter to run with a standard pump under $30?

  8. The more I look at it the more I tend to agree with Socrates.. dash, cluster surround and steering wheel look brand new. This is in the upper echelon of original MR30's, of which there are very few left.
  9. If there's no rust and paint is great I'd push for a bit over 2k..Maybe 2.5k with rwc. That front end is gorgeous, Little features like the headlight covers and rim trim rings add to appeal. This is one MR30 that should stay original and be cared for.

  12. Changing out my genuine 8kg Jenesis (r30.co.jp) springs for 10kg's on my Jenesis coilovers. Never been fitted to a car. Specs are- 8KG Internal diameter 63mm 208mm length Retail for about 12,000 Yen in Japan I'm asking $175 AUD Can get pics if needed.

  16. Is that the same as a Kando Jason? I thought 18-19 psi was the 'safe' limit for an unopened 20? LOL would love to see this chop a grumpy rotor with said flame spitting
  17. Mine sits between 1/2 and 2/3's under normal operating conditions. Standard guages can be deceptive. Probably best to install and aftermarket gauge if you're worried.
  18. Understand completely. Don't care about beating every v6 commodore at the lights with this car. Anything further than a high flow on this would be kinda silly anyway with the tyres and camber it has. I think if weight is brought down to -1100kg and 220-240hp with these carbs it will still be fun, sound great and serve it's main purpose, being unique. Turbo engine will stay until a lighter chassis is acquired and readied for conversion. (really want a 1600).
  19. Won't lie, being different is a major factor. Any pics of the Honda? Amongst the many fitted to 1.6L 4age's.. Have seen them on 2 SR20's(+ an SR20 kit for sale on YAJ) and one FJ20. As well as two L series running sextuplets. Mine are the largest model. From what I've seen they cope well with 50-60hp per carb.
  20. I'd like a grumpy idle. From what I've seen their pretty sedate when jetted correctly. Edit: Ahh balls.. Pootube messing with me again.
  21. Also your current front lip looks to be for a different model. Probably a C110/C210 or Toyota GX61/71.
  22. lol was going to mention the OS engine. Except there were only 11 original heads made back in the 70's.. And the latest incarnation (if you could even secure an order) costs 90 grand for a complete engine with ITB's. L31 built locally with ITB's is what you want. Hot car anyway.. Would be interesting to know what it set you back.
