  4. just picked up my new car, bit of an upgrade from the R33 it pulls a scary 51 flywheel kilowatts @ 5000rpm. today i changed the oil and spark plugs, removed the rear louver, and dumped it on some new 13" hubcaps. pimpin.
  5. if it has graphics on it, can be defected. if it is normal tint darker than 35%, can be defected. if it is reflective tint darker than 10%, can be defected. and yes they can test at night, the machine tests what percentage of light gets through the glass, time of day doesnt affect it.
  6. ive got a 3-3.5" catback i may look at selling.. its 3" at the cat, and tapers up to 3.5" at the muffler entry, with a 4" tip (apparently a slight upwards taper in exhaust is optimum). its a japanese exhuast, came with the car when it was imported, dont know brand, but the dump is trust, may be trust aswell? not sure. only reason for sale is id prefer a smaller twin system send me an offer and ill consider selling it as my whale is 'beached' at the moment.. edit: if you are looking to sell the old exhaust, ill consider swap + cash too

    Bovs?

was funny.. i got pulled over today whilst driving my housemates wrx. officer asked me to pop the bonnet, so i did. he then started pointing at items asking me what they were, i just claimed it wasnt my car, and i didnt know anything about cars. worked a treat
  14. hmm, might pickup a set 245's will fit on 8.5" rims, yeah? currently having legal problems with my 9" rear/8.5" fronts running 255/235.. might go 245 all round
  15. i take it they arent 'road legal' tyres? and are these the ones you mean, SLY33? Azenis RS-VII
  16. my housemate paid $195 for his 215/40R17's... so your price seems about right. i wonder what the hell they did with my tyres then? ive actually had 3 people comment on them being rather cheap... but hey, im not complaining that said, even at that price, they are a bloody excellent tyre for the price, i know i will be using them again

    Bovs?

bov's arent allowed to vent atmospherically, full stop. legally, they have to be 100% plumbed back. edit: even if the pod is secured, its still good to get a permit, there are some wanker police out there that stop at nothing short of a permit.
  18. haha, that shit is gold!
  19. i remember driving past a VS commodore wearing P plates, with 4 ~18yr olds in it, yelling out '4 cylinder heap of shit!'... to which my '4 cylinder heap of shit' burnt off their 3.8L V6... go figure?
  20. cant see why not, just need to find the bulb type a BA uses
  21. there is a decent amount of "1 C" plates around.. my girlfriend bought her new echo about 2 months ago, and she has [1 CAC ***], so that would mean there is 2,000+ of them.
  22. i paid $245 for 255/40R17's, and $185 for 235/45R17's
  23. best place is probably welshpool, ive had most luck with them.
  24. my stock headlights were pretty good, but the HID's are excellent. so much longer range, and ive got 8000k i think (it was diamond white whatever temperature i bought), looks like daylight!
  25. i recommend everyone spend the $200 and get some HID's. i bought some for my car, cost me $400, best money spent on it, improves night vision so much, well worth it for only $200.
