  2. sign-fx does custom stickers too. i got some off him a while ago, good price and they turned out well
  3. tell me about it randominsanity73... with my car, its quiet under low revs, and loud when you give it a bit... so when the inspector took my car for a drive there was no noise until he got out of sight, then *everyone* there looked around as you could hear my car being hammered. when he came back and then decided not to pass my car, i gave him an earful for thrashing my car...
  4. yep, thats do luck. edit: if its for an R33, be careful, that one is similar to the R33 GTR one, the R33 GTS-T one looks different, so you may need to get the GTR one adapted to fit if you are after that look. vs.
  5. best movie ever i bought the series 1-3 dvd's the other day
  6. i slipped my clutch for 100 metres once... mum said it was cool.
  7. mine arrived about 10 days ago
  8. im pretty sure the 'fan' switch in the centre console is for an air purifier, do you have a box type thing on your parcel shelf?
  9. the day i bought my baby, and drove her home...
  10. wheres the pursuit rims?!
  11. rim DIAMETER can go up 2" from the largest factory option, but width follows my previous post, ie 7" max unless wider was a factory option.
  12. StageZilla - this is where the aw is a bit silly... as far as ive been told from a few people a the pits/police officers, you CANNOT have less than 35% grade tinton your windows, however you can have the rear passenger/rear window painted over/stickered, etc it just cant be tinted.. and from one source i heard this was only legal if you had 2 side mirrors, ie one on either side, as some cars only have a driver side mirror... MacGuyver - the law states your rim width may be a maximum of 7" wide, unless wider was a factory option. ie.. if your car has 5" wide rims, largest option was 5", you can put 7" wide on it. if it came with 5", largest option was 8", you can put 8" on it. if it came with 9", largest option was 9", you can put 9" on it. ruling over these tho, the rim/tyre must not extend past the side of the car, so if you have 5" on it, but 7" sticks out, you need to either change the rim offset, or put a smaller rim on it. and, both rims/tyres must be the SAME SIZE, unless it came with different size/widths from factory, ie porsches with wider rears, etc. as far as i know, all skylines had same size wheels front and back from factory BUT if you get an engineer's signoff + permit to say the rims are legal, you are fine. also what you wrote about bov's is true, and boost controllers is true aswell, they arent *illegal* with a engineer's signoff + permit to stipulate they dont f**k up your emissions
  13. cf bonnets cant have open, rear facing vents, and scoops need to conform to some size regulations (cant block view, etc) tinting is a strict 35% on ALL windows, excluding the front, which may have 35% in the top 10% of the window. or if using reflective tint, the above applies but at 10%, and no coloured tint. and pretty much anything that vents from your engine(bov, wastegate, catch cans, etc) must exit through a cat-ed, muffled, exhaust
  14. ya samboha, thus why i want to know if these are any good ill reference the boost gauge with my hks boost gauge, and see what result that turns up.
  15. i agree benl1981, i forked out $900 for my hankook K104's, great tyres 255/40ZR17's were $245 each 235/45ZR17's were $185 each a friend of mine just had to replace the 215/40R17's on his rex recently, i told him to go with the hankooks, or something of similar quality, to which he replied 'no point wasting money on tyres, they all last the same time, blah blah' so he spent ~$450 on some brand i cant remember, as opposed to about $800 for the hankooks. 1 week ago he understeered ever so slightly into a kerb, cost him $1650.... now i wont say the hankooks would 100% have stopped that, but id go as far to say as they would have helped him understeer a bit less, or even stopped the understeer from ever happening... so his tyres basically just cost him $2000+.. and he still has them.
  16. i need some park lights for both mine and mum's car (mum bought HID's for high AND low beam, bloody bright!)
  17. yes you need permits.. BOV's are illegal if they make noise, and vent atmospherically. there *is* a set dB for exhaust's too, however the value eludes me at this time. a pillar gauges must also not stick out on either side of the a pillar, ie block view other than what the a pillar does. changing shift knobs requires the new knob, or somewhere around the shifter to display a shift pattern, in the event of emergancy and someone has to drive your car, due to the range of shift patterns. with neons, they have to be hidden from view, and not able to reflect off any chromed surfaces, they are also to be all of one colour, and not to flash. and linking it with the car lighting, your not allowed to have red lights displayed at the front of your car, so technically that rules out red neons. now to link it with emergancy vehicles, red/blue lights fall under police/ambulance lights, and now western power vehicles with orange lights are emergancy vehinces too(99% sure) so technically that rules out red/blue/orange, and then you are not allowed to display white light at the rear other than the reverse lights, so techincally again white, red, blue and orange are ruled out as colours for neons. braided brake lines need to have a plastic/some form of shield on them in the event they split (i think you said that, but im just re-itterating.) and i think thats just about all the updates for your list.
  18. anyonw know anything about these gauges? im getting the boost/oil pressure/water temp gauges for xmas, and want to know if they are any good?
  19. there are 6mm, 8mm, and 6/8mm ones.. im pretty sure my 33 used the 8mm ones, but if you buy the universal 6/8mm ones you dont have a problem

  24. aint it the truth... mines nice, low revs/normal driving, it makes a nice quiet rb25 sound... dig your foot in and she roars
  25. ^^ what he said. however that said, my exhaust is really nice, at low revs/normal driving, you get a nice quiet RB25 rumble, however when you put your foot into it, then it gives a nice big roar... buuuut... mines a custom made one, from jah-pan. so id stick with the quiet one till you are off your p's
