  1. wrong car thats the original prototype... the released one is slightly different
  2. HID's are the low beam, high beam stays as halogen
  3. i bought a HID kit(a different brand however), and i just had to cut the 2 wires that go to the normal low beam, and join them to the HID ballast, rest of it was fine
  4. i'm in love with it. looks like a beast
  5. my 33 doesn't like the ocean/water... it flaps its tail around everywhere..
  6. they did the engine swap simply because they had a few of them lying around
  7. yes it has
  8. must be scary if it needs to be said 3 times!
  9. ditto
  10. i saw that aswell... couldnt really see the ford's damage, but didnt look that great, whereas the front right of the 33 was pretty crumpled. R33 had p plates too (no im not implying anything, just stating.)
  11. everyone takes the attitude "oh someone else will stop to help them" but if everyone does that, who is going to stop? no-one. how long does it take to pull over on the side of the road, check that the person(s) in the car arent seriously hurt or anything, and call the police if need be? all of what.. 10-15 mins?
  12. maybe they 'carried the 1' a few too many times...
  13. i had similar happen last december. approaching a cross intersection where i was able to go straight through, but the other direction had to stop... i saw a car coming from the left, so due to it being wet i slowed down just incase, i saw him slow down and come to a near stop, then he just jook off, literally centimetres infront of me, so to not hit him, i gently applied the brakes and moved to the left. nudged a kerb, smashed my front bar and bent the left lower control arm... and he just took off! altho mines not as bad, its just a terrible thing when someone does that, and just flee's the scene. if you are going to drive like a dickhead, you deserve the consequences that go with it. good luck on catching him/getting your car repaired. hope the wife and daughter are alright too.
  14. and who is getting insurance on monday?

  18. a... a.. com-oh-dawwwwww?
  19. keefy: nah its not black gel coated fibreglass at the moment. nozila: those are the latest shots, unfortunately been bogged down that much at work/other things, i had to work thru 4 days holiday i was supposed to have however... im hoping very soon(pending work slows down...), ill have my new front fenders, front bar painted, bootlid flush and painted, and a new deisgn down the side... so dont give up on me just yet
  20. thats a valid topic duncan.. however not every skyline owner breaks the speed limit in 5 seconds, etc.. so in a normal scenario, a skyline is like any other sedan/coupe out there, if anything being low allows other people so see around/over us easier! whereas driving a 4wd, its kind of hard for them to not block view or whatever the case may be. my pet hate with 4wd owners, is their parking.. they are barely ever 100% in the bay, or straight in the bay, and when they open their doors, they slam their lower door into my window/upper panel area!
  21. i find most people that tailgate me, own 4WD/SUV's... they seem to think that because their bullbar sits at my window level, that im scared of it, all it does is make me drive ever so slow... last sunday night i was driving up scarborough road, and there was a 4WD behind me in the middle lane, at a set of lights. he sat on my ass at the lights, and sat on my ass for a good 500m, so i knocked the shifter into neutral, let off the gas, and gradually coasted to a stop, in the middle of scarb beach road, no other cars in the other lanes... and guess what? he stayed right on my ass and had to stop due to not enough room to go around! i'll admit it probably wasnt smart to stop in the middle of the road, but for christ sake! other times ive had to brake suddenly on the freeway/roe highway, etc when a 4wd has suddenly moved just infront of me in my lane, so not to headbut their overly high tow ball. im just waiting for one of the days when a 4wd tail gates me, and i have to brake for some reason, and they wear the rear end of my R33... i hope they realise the top/rear left/rear right is all one expensive panel.
  22. wicked, ive got a carton of TED's left over from my 19th last weekend ill pm you to arrange pickup.
