  1. definitely a vacuum leak somewhere.. would put money on it. Had similar symptoms, turned out to be a badly plumbed boost gauge.
  2. going through the same problem. Seems the common approach is to find an engine being stripped and pull it off that and run it till it dies, rinse and repeat.
  3. I'd recommend lawrence@wheel tech. Fixed a buckled rim for me but also does all sorts of repair (and sells cheap tyres ). http://www.wheeltechwheels.com.au/
  4. can I confirm what the part number is for the ECU. If it is 23710-11U10 i'll take it,
  5. From the google translation pages I have read it looks like various used car sales networks joined together to purchase good condition R32s and retrofit R33 gt-r engines and R34 turbos and sell it in something of an 'as new' status. For example: http://www.itmedia.co.jp/news/0010/05/carpoint.html However, looking at the engine, this car is "a wolf in sheep's clothing" to be noticed. We can not go just because the engine might use treated roughly, subjected to the original tune to retrofit the new engine BNR33. Also, the turbocharger is diverted to the current ones BNR3. Maximum output, which has been conservative in Shashidai 350PS, "The fastest car does not compete. I want to taste the height of perfection" (Dr. Sakurai). In addition to body rigidity, the side sills are filled with a foaming agent such as density independence own S & S, is all about using the scenes. Something about foam filling the body work to increase rigidity?
  6. Double Din brackets (what bolts onto the headunit and Climate Control) still available? Happy to pay postage to Melb.
  7. Double Din brackets to mount headunit. Happy to pay postage or pick up. Also interested in Gearstick surround and manual conversion bits (pedals etc).
  8. the boost gauge runs off the same vacuum line the auto works off (for some of its voodoo magic in R32s at least) so that would be my guess.
  9. I had a problem similar to this in an R32. Turned out it was a vacuum leak from a badly fitted boost gauge.
  10. http://theage.drive.com.au/motor-news/revealed-suzukis-faster-swift-20110811-1inlv.html Porsche are quaking in their boots right now. 911's be afraid.
  11. Some GT-Rs seem to be a lot fussier than others, I know of cars where the attesa cracked the sads at the same brand and type tyres but of a different batch. It can happen if one tyre is too flat. If your car shudders (mine does it mostly in first gear) it is probably your attesa getting upset at the different diameters. It is therefore wise to get exactly the same rims and tyres front and rear.
  12. I must add, I recently drove the new series 2 SV6 from a hire company. Really great car to drive with good steering feel and suspension. A little on the heavy side but no worse than an Aston right . Given that I own a VY as a daily, the VE is a massive step in the right direction. Not to mention I drove from Brisbane to Hervey Bay and back in a spirited fashion on 3/4s of a tank of E10. I'd happily own one of these and take it to the track.
  13. good i'm shooting for the half marathon in october
  14. Oh i'm doing the 10km for this too didn't realise you were in Al.
  15. yup these definately were sold in Australia and a few are putt putting around in the datsun club amongst others . Awesome cars indeed.
