  1. Yeah, it's sad that you need to be so untrusting these days. I never let someone drive my car till a deposit has been taken and even then i'll go with them. Never meet them at your house (cause then they know where to come back and steal it if they are that way inclined) meet in a public place like a public car park. The taking of MDL details is a good one, i'll have to remember that.
  2. My sard 700cc jobbies aren't noticeably lounder than my stock ones. I have to say the bosch 044 fuel pump i have is also just as quiet as the stock one (just takes a little longer to prime on start up it seems).
  3. Well i can add another name to our list then Alpha (just not publicly as our offer hasn't been accepted or declined as yet)
  4. 38.15%, dont know how that happened, i dont get out that often anymore. Damn zimmerframe
  5. The current property market, in particular Real Estate agents I've been seriously looking for my first place for the past 3 months or so and in that time i have met some nice, genuine agents and some absolute retards (apologies if i have just offended any retards out there by associating their good name with poor agents). Case in point is the agent i put an offer in with yesterday. Not a bad property and pretty close to what i want. I found it mid week on the internet and went to the first home open on sunday, now for a start he only advertised on one of the weekend papers and on his agency's own website (not much exposure there) turn out for the home open was fair but no one stayed very long except for us. He pulled out all the latest jargon and catch phrases (put your best foot forward, motivated seller etc) in an effort to get me. He was transparent as and definately not one of the sharpest knives in the drawer. I cant help but feel that the current state of the market is ensuring that even the poorer agents get enough business to survive and in my book if you arent good at your job you need to try harder or get out and try something else. Ohh and i hate EOI's. It's like "well we're thinking about cashing in on you desperate sods out there and would like you to compete against each other, without any real effort on our part, and see if we cant gouge a ton of money out of you". Pfft you're either selling your house or not, stop trying to just dip your toe in the market. End rant. P.S. i know this wont have much significance for those who haven't bought a property lately but if your in the market like me you'll know what i mean. Cheers, Ryan.
  6. And yeah if that question was asked of me it was quite obvious to see that the front injector was leaking even at idle and fuel was running down the side of the block and dripping off the sump. Not a particularly fuel efficient or safe vehicle in that state
  7. Gold Atessa, will give you a call this week sometime. Cheers, Ryan.
  8. I went through pretty much the same thing Steve. After stuffing around with rails, insulators, o-rings etc closer inspection turned out to be the injector itself leaking (well two of them really). A set of 700cc sard injectors and no more dramas. Ryan.

    Fuel

Average 430km or so for 60lt in my GTR (N1 turbos/bigger injectors/fuel pump/PFC Djetro/1.5bar of boost etc) Used to get about the same in my old GTR (stock) My HR31 was awesome averaging 11l/100km around town and even better on the country hauls. Wish i still had that sort of economy.
  10. Hi, I am chasing a 32 GTR gear knob and steering wheel in mint condition. If anyone can help drop me a PM. Cheers.
  11. I have one, stock as a rock in perfect working order. Pm me if you are keen.
  12. Possibly Paul but i'm yet to see an aftermarket one for a reasonable price that beats the standard one for looks and ergonomics. The suede sparco racing jobbies and some of the nardi wheels are nice but i think i'd rather a freshened up stock one if the price works out.
  13. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has the contact details of a person able to re-wrap a steering wheel in leather. My standard one is shagged and at over $1200 new from nissan i aint going to be buying a new one. Most places wont touch the job as i understand it is quite fiddly. Alternatively if someone has a mint 32 GTR steering wheel for sale drop us a pm (or gts-t one for that matter i understand they are the same wheel but with a different horn button) Cheers.
  14. Got mine last friday, installed in on saturday morning in the suggested stealthy ash tray location. Easy to install, good instructions and it even came with zip ties. Thanks again paul.
  15. 044 in my GTR makes no more noise than the standard nissan pump (it's installed in tank in the stock location)
  16. I decided i wanted the standard one to work too when i put in a water temp gauge and found that there is a fitting on the front of the plenum just near the water bleed hole that you use when changing the coolant. I found a new brass fitting that took the 1/8 gauge sender i had up the middle of it and then screwed into the hole where the standard fitting came out. Sorry if thats vague but i cant explain it better without a picture.
  17. Howdy guys, I thought i'd clean up the back room a bit so i have the following for sale. All prices are negotiable and it's probably best to contact me via my mobile number. I have the following for sale from my 32 GTR. All parts are standard unless other wise specified and the reason for sale is that i've gone bigger or they are not required anymore. 2 x AFM - $300 the pair 1 x EBC - $100 (see below) 1 x standard 32 GTR ecu, unchipped with speed cut still there - $250 2 x R31 series 3 headlights - $100 (see below) 5 x GTR coil packs - $50 each or $200 for the lot (see below) Boost controller I have a Blitz SBC spec S electronic boost controller for sale. It's not the newest model and it's not got flashy screens or bells and whistles but it does the job. I took it off my GTR because it wasn't the best at controlling boost over 1bar or so (still did it though) but apart from that it works great. 31 Headlights These came off my HR31 import when I put a set of projector headlights in. They are just the standard series 3 (89) aussie R31 headlights. They still have globes in them and are undamaged. Coil packs Due to more upgrades i now have a set of GTR coil packs for sale. I've just whacked some splitfire coils in so the standard ones are for sale. One coil pack is suspect so for arguments sake lets just say i have 5 good coils for sale. I am willing to sell separately. Cheers, Ryan. mobile: 0405 026 364
  18. I've got exactly the same set up and have gone the sard 700cc and bosch 044 route. No problems, plenty of headroom if you want to go cams down the line and as mentioned both parts are in the cheaper spectrum of things that will do the job. I've got a Blitz dual sbc spec R and am experiencing some difficulties with getting stable boost. I know of other GTRs that use them and have no dramas so i'm guessing i need to do some thinking. Some guys swear by the ProfecBII and i've been told that this is for a good reason in terms of bang for your buck.
  19. Since owning my first GTR i've enlisted the help of an insurance broker. They can get you deals with companies that wont touch you if you ring them yourself (like SGIO wouldn't touch me when i called but my broker ended up getting my policy through them in the end) and have always gotten me a better deal than if i have called a company myself. They do all the leg work and it's well worth the extra $20 service fee i pay. If anyone wants the details of a good broker pm me. Cheers
  20. I have been told that N1 actuators aren't the best items for boost control but it seems many others using these units aren't having troubles judging by the power being made in the RB26 turbo's thread.
