Hey Talej Posted the reason in the Masa kit colour thread... dawned on me over the weekend i'd be spending a lot of money on a car for the missus who "isnt into cars"... and Id be left driving the $4000 bomb to work... so just turning making MY daily driver the project car (a V35 skyline) and not something that can go from 0 - 40km/hr school zone in 2.1 seconds The Masa kit wouldnt have ended up that expensive though - so if anyone is interested I can get them the details of where I was up to with it. Would've been nice to do the Masa - but I'm looking forward to turbo modifying a 3.5 litre V35 coupe :aroused:

Oh yeah - and thinking of selling the beloved yellow Series 2 stag and getting a cheap series 1 to make $$ room for the V35 Skyline... not sure will depend on price... PM me if interested - but it wont be a steal coz otherwise ill just not sell and trade it on the V35 - think just below yard prices (so you get all the exhaust and alarm and 18" rims for free plus low kms, service history and nice bright yellow colour). Hey guys... found this out yesterday from Anthony at Causeway AutoWholesale here in Perth... their 260RS is gonna be advertisied in Unique Cars and papers this weekend... they've knocked $10,000 off their 260RS this week to get it out the yard... so anyone looking for one of these its now stickered at $39,990. Got a bit more info I thought about when contemplating buying it - so if anyone thinks about grabbing it shoot me a PM and ill give you some thoughts that might be useful. Cheers Adam

Sorry guys .... but I am so fickle.... might even now have wasted everones 2 seconds spent voting coz it doesnt look like Ill be doing the Masa kit It dawned on me over the weekend that I was gonna be doing up a car that Id never get to drive!! (THE STAG IS THE MISSUS' CAR) So Ive reassessed my priorities (ie ME) and am gonna make my "project" the car I actually drive ... she sure as hell doesnt need 250 rwkw to drive the kids to school!! Anyways - so I went and checked out the V35 skyline yesterday - and I'm switching projects entirely!!! Now thinking about bringing in a 2 door 350GT manual (silver, blue or black) and getting it twin-turboed (by XSpeed same way they recently did their 350Z!)... So this car: But with this done to the VQ35DE: So looking forward to this! But I'll still be a Stagea whore - just might be staying stock for the missus while I buy the V35 Coupe and mod that! Although might have to swap to a Series 1 stag to pay for the twin turbo setup I want on the V35 lol... anyone wanna swap series 1 for my series 2 with cash adjustment, or just buy my stag... seriously? Oh - and some info for anyone wanting a 260RS... Causeway AutoWholesale have just this week slashed $10,000 off the price of their 260RS.... $39,990 and its yours. Took it for a drive and mmmmm RB26DETT goodness Oh and if anyone wants to take up my MASA front end intentions - so far the best quote i've had for the front end kit from a buying broker in Japan, including ordering, handling, all panels, all mounting bracket etc requirements, brand new OE Nissan headlights and indicators... was 272,929 yen = under $3500! (this is front only - I didnt get costs on sideskirts and rear coz they're ugly and was gonna get TakeLows rear kit)... Pretty dam cheap considering the headlights alone are over 100,000yen.. and if u picked up second hand lights here itd save even more. So if anyone wants the contact details just PM me... coz I had almost secured a free freight option (spare container space shipping in return for front window sticker sponsorship) - so only had then the fitting and painting to pay for... so could have got everything on the car and painted for prob around $5000. Most of the info you are looking for is in these forums - just means reading through them all - its probably back on page 6,7,8 of the threads by now... or check out mcnmag's website for some of the basic specs and differences (link is in his profile). But there really isnt that much to tell when talking about what u want "a high powered 5spd with leather and the sunroofs"... you basically are looking for a manual series 2 Stagea RSFourV, with leather and sunroofs as options (I dont think there was a specific "model" that had these - people just chose them as factory options. If you arent really concerned by whether you pay $20g or $30g and will still be doing all the same mods whther you spend either amount, then you're probably wanting a Series 2 manual, and if you score leather and sunroofs then cool - otherwise you will probably have to spend a couple of months scanning the Japanese auctions to find the exact specs you are after. But yeah - the main differences... - Series 2 is Dec 1998 onwards, with Neo6 engine (30 kW more power, heaps more torque, VCT and option of manual (Series 1 there was no such thing as manual option) - "RSFour" = Atessa 4WD, "RS" = just rear wheel drive - leather - look at the seats - sunroofs - look at the roof Then just power the baby up with the usual mods... turbo back 3" exhaust; FMIC; slightly up the boost; fuel management coz these babies run rich and suck fuel; suspension... and so on - but yeah - most of the info is here for you to read already so take the tiome to do some research Adam

In two minds about my 2 preferred colours once I get the Masa BNR34 kit - the yellow as it is now, or full change to bayside blue like in my sig? Im so fickle - Ill go with the majority opinion lol - lemme know what u think - vote above and/or post comments Some pics to help compare:

Hey SK Before I go posting it in the for sale thread - thought itd be the right thing to do to offer the ARC unit to you first - same price plus freight. EDIT: Oops - actually second option to SK... first option to the guy who I stuffed around by keeping my stockie that I promised him - he's getting back to me... As I'm getting the Masa kit - I wont be fitting the ARC sidemount for two reasons - first coz I need the $ for the MASA kit, and second coz the Masa kit front bar will need a FMIC.... so no point going ahead and fitting the ARC unit for only a few months. So yeah - if u dont want it SK no probs - second dibs goes to the rest of the Stagea forum fellas in here that might want to retain the stock/stealth look - first PM or reply below. Details on the ARC unit are in the few posts above... ask any questions u like. Never fitted, bigger airflow (rated to 600hp but I wouldnt be pushing it that far lol), $2100 RRP - selling $600 plus freight. I'll hold off and check replies here for a couple of days b4 posting in the For Sale for the rest of the forum population EDIT #2: SOLD - the guy who paid me a deposit on my stockie took his first option on the ARC sidemount... $600 closer to the Masa kit yay! Nice work... I'm looking at similar mods for my Neo6 auto Stagea. Question for a "learner" in the tuning world - please explain what is meant by an "unopened motor"?

Cheers Jay Any "best" order in which to pop the console panels out? I popped the one around the centre vents out yesterday easy enough (replaced it with carbon fibre look DAYZ vent panel) - can they all pop out individually or do I need to do the stereo one before I can get the gear shift surround one out? Which skirts? - i hope u mean the Takelows ones - not the MASA ones? The TakeLows dont stick out coz you can buy those door panels as well that go half way up the door Only problem I am thinking is how the sideskirts will fit up with the MASA front fenders.... looking at the fenders on the white MASA, I might need some custom work done to the TakeLows skirts to match them up... aargh its never easy

Anyone know what globe etc is required as my backlight illumination behind the auto gear stick letters etc is all out.

I'm after a BOV that'll sound like a the GTR stock noise - more of a screech than a pssht... any1 know of a BOV that has the GTR kinds sound output?

Man this is gonna be hard to do in a hurry... got a few seperate emails back from Japanese enquiries saying MASA going down hill and really hard to deal with lately, and now a really bad regard inside the industry in Japan... problems with supply, quality etc... but I'm gonna push on regardless! Actually thinking of combining two kits - coz I find the MASA skirts and ass-end too bulky and blocky... Yeah - not my thing... so instead I am gonna go for the TakeLows Vol 2 rear bumper with carbon fibre rear-bar diffuser, and skirts and door panels: Then yeah the MASA front end... with the more expensive fenders - seen here on the white MASA kitted Stagea on the left - never been able to make the detail out on the Black kit - but those vents etc look wild! And yeah - not sure if I'm gonna stick with yellow - or switch to bayside blue like in my signature.... whatcha reckon???
