  1. Cam Gears sold pending payment. Tyres, turbos and dumps still available folks.
  2. Yes, thanks for the info. Website says that Pit Lane will be Open too! http://www.sydneymotorsportpark.com.au/whats-on
  3. URGENT UPDATE! Hi folks, I've been working with Rob and we need to make some small changes to the SAU support cruise. The destination car park is a bit too tight for many cars. So our cruise will make some small deviations. I will be posting the full info as soon as I can (work always in the way!). We will start in Kirrawee, cruise south, go up Macquarie Pass and on to Robertson pie shop for lunch. We will collect donations for Eric & Kylie and pass them to Rob or direct deposit them to Eric's account. New thread will be up very soon.
  4. That is good news and our prayers are with you for Friday.
  5. Expect any place local to be packed. Last meet they had 1800 cars! Yes that many!
  6. So we're deep in planning now folks. SAU will have an official trade booth and we're working to get a few cars around it. Unfortuantely not sure on the logistics of having all SAU together. In fact I think with an event of this size it would be a logistical problem for the organisers. So we will be in contact with a select few to for the club trade booth. For the rest, I suggest if you want to represent the club join with a VIP to get early entry and designate a meet up point and go all together in a group. If you arrive together it will be way easier to get a location where all our cars are grouped.
  7. So here are a few spare parts I have laying around: Item #1: Pair Intake & Exhaust HKS Adjustable Timing Gears. Condition is good, has usual wear on teeth but hardly any lip (see in photo below) $200 Item #2: One pair (two tyres) of Yokohama A050 Soft Semi Slicks in 295 30 18. These were run at Superlap Aug 2012 looks like build date in Jan 11. As shown on the wear indicator photo there's hardly any wear at all on these! I bought them as a spare pair but haven't done as many track days as I wanted so figured I'd put these up for sale. $400. Stored in a cool, dark spot tied up in garbage bags. Last item are my high flow turbos. These were OEM R33 GTR turbos that were high flowed with steel wheels. I ran these up to 21 PSI for 307 RWKW on my car's set-up. I found they seemed to start get a bit laggy and found that the exhaust housing has cracks between the wastegate and the outlet port. These were on my car when I bought it so based on the records with the car I estimate 40-50k have been put on them. There is a little shaft play but never had a problem with them other than the cracked exhaust housings. Also have stock R33 GTR dumps. $300 for the turbos and $50 for the dumps.
  8. There are actually about 4 QM1 whites. I had the same problem and never really found an exact match. Best off taking in the petrol door somewhere and having them match the paint.
  9. I'll get the Doctor's details on Monday.
  10. Hi Scott, so sorry to hear your news. The husband of a woman at work found out he had one the size of a cricket ball! They did an operation last year and he's come out ok. If you like I can get the info on the doctor's cause apparently he's one of the best around (confirmed by another co-worker who's father also had brain surgery). If you were looking forward to it working on your car and the doctors didn't think it will affect your health then I say do it. Keep yourself in good spirits and doing the things that you enjoy and want to do.
  11. We discussed attending as a club and having the club display. Nick and I are tee'ing up a meet with the Top Secret boys to find out how we go about getting our official display. As soon as we have that info we'll post up and make an Official SAU entry listing. So more information to come VERY soon.
  12. Also note the mid march meet up the next day! Stay over and meet up with the ACT/NSW crew!
  13. I'm interested in the Cam Gears. I work in Macquarie Park so perhaps arrange a lunch time pick up? Thanks.
  14. Top Secret does have a "best club" award. Although not sure if it requires VIP entry. Who's interested in attending as an SAU Group? If we do I think we need about 5 "showcase" cars such as Terry's N1 and Matt's Nur. Then put other club members around them and have some kind of SAU material there. Club shirts if you have one. I'll discuss with the execs tomorrow. I'm planning on going especially since my GTR is FINALLY back on the road as of yesterday. [EDIT - updated details on our pre-meet organisation plans] Ok, so here is THE PLAN! (Huge thanks to NXTIME for finding and scouting the location for us!) A member has a contact that works in this business park. It has been verified to be pretty much empty by 5:00 pm on a Friday and has tons of room for the SAU crowd. We don't know if there will be other groups meeting there (since this is a public event) but it easily accomodates between 80 and 100 cars. It goes without saying that anyone revving their engines, burn outs, loud music or generally bad behaviour will be asked to immediately leave and will be reported to the authorities. Being in this group you are representing SAU:NSW and our code of conduct, member or not. Two groups probably means that the SAU entries in the mega meet will be in at least two locations, assuming they park the mega meet cars first come first serve. VIP's will be in one group and general entry in the other. Group 1: VIP's and SAU Trade Stand Entries (we only have room for about 8 on our trade stand and they have already been identified) Meet up at the location at 4:30 and will be departing at 5:00 pm SHARP to go the few minutes to the Mega Meet location. A small group of execs/trade stand members will depart earlier to report back on the entry conditions. This MAY require earlier departure time if queuing is bad. SO BE PREPARED TO DEPART ANY TIME BETWEEN 4:30 AND 5:00 PM! Group 2: General Entry should arrive to the meet location between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. Group two should depart the location at 6 PM sharp! If the groups get split by the traffic lights there isn't a whole lot we can do as we expect the whole area to be chock full of cars trying to get to the meet. So do your best and don't try any funny business to stay together. As long as the groups leave together we can try to reassemble in the meeting parking lot. Expect a long queue and to be sitting on idle for a while. TIP! Be sure to check your radiator fluid to make sure your car won't over heat. MEETING LOCATION: Industrial Car Park off Holbeche Rd & Walters Rd, Arndell Park (Meeting will be in the Red Triangle marked on the map) DO NOT enter from Holbeche Rd as that driveway is steep and crested. The two driveways on Walters Rd are lip/exhaust friendly, with the on on the lowest part of this picture being nearly flat.
  15. Robert, As Terry indicated the execs are meeting this week and we will be in contact and post up more info once we've had a chance to discuss. We also find that post confirmations are not a good indication of attendance. Our Putty Rd. Cruise for instance rarely gets 20-30 responses in the forums but usually has 60-100 cars show up.
  16. Time for a thread resurrection. As always best to click through for HD viewing pleasure. Here is a video I did for the Aus Drifting Nationals at Sydney Motorsport Park. Also a time lapse I did a few months back chronicalling my GTR upgrade.
  17. This sounds like a perfect opportunity to snag some "INVADER" SAU club points. If you guys want to do this either find an exec that will be attending, OR organise it in here and post a list of your "INVASION FORCE" here with a picture of all the attendees at the event here. (Would be nice to have a sign or something saying SAU:NSW INVASION FORCE hehe)
  18. I was shooting video for Speed Nation. Cheers to Andrew for all your hard work on this event series. Saw you running your a$$ off all over the place! Here is the highlights video. (Best watched in HD)
  19. Ok so here are a few of my pics from Saturday.
  20. This is so sad to hear. My thoughts go out to Eric and his family for this tragic life changing event. Can I suggest a Chipin account to raise funds? It is free to set up and is an easy way to allow people to contribute. It will also allow you to take this initiative to the social networks (ie. Facebook) and get some community/social networking going.

  22. A few more from our holiday.
  23. Hehe, you got to him just before I did. I met him at his workshop at 8:45 and had the Wife's Z done. Top guy and fast efficient job as always. Did you see his Lexus? That's a pretty cool machine!
  24. Blow offs are more about the noise.
  25. None of you read the question. Q: Who Rights the Car Mod Laws? A: Mechanic Engineer. He's the one that corrects your non-compliant modifications. Who writes the car modification laws? Well that would be the politicians, for any number of reasons that rarely actually align to the propagandised intent.
