It would probably be alot cheaper to jsut buy an R33GTR and u will get a much better result as well. The GTS and GTR, while they look similar, are not even close.

The way i see it is that they have to try something. Our kids are killing themselves on the roads like never before. "Never before" meaning fatalites on teh roads compared to the amount of cars is lowering on a yearly basis yet they are still producing 300kw cars for the domestic market. Oh and the majority of these deaths are caused by ppl not looking where they are driving and plowing into unexpected obstacles, im sure they had their eyes open but they were ysing them to look for speed cameras and the like casue some idiot made it a double demrit weekend. Its a fad that is a direct consquence of the import scene. I hope i dont get killed for this but its pretty crazy that u can get a R for like 17k on teh road. Thats just way too cheap for a hi-po car. I reckon this law will last a few years and they will make some examples and then give up. Just sit back and ride it out. Or u could alway refrain from being a hoon.

It kinda straight forward. Get as much ducting to the air filter with as little cutting as possible. Make a good weekend of it. Also build a box or heatsheild around the filter to redcue heat sink from the engine. Oh and if you want to move the filter all together make sure teh AFM (little thing behind filter with wires coming out) is in a nice flat spot where the airflow will be smooth.

A decent CAI should do this and more. The stock airbox blows in my opinion. That little duct that sucks air from the front is tiny.

Yeh dont go out and blow ure money on some BS HKS super hurricane gizmo. The $25 dollar air fliters with the concave centre are fine for the amount of air you will need. The standard airbox and the ducting going into it is not so great on the 33, that little bottle neck where they ran a hose (radiator or something) past it screws up the flow big time. With the new filter u can do 1 of 2 things. Move the filter all together to in the bumper some place where it will get good air flow but hopefully not much rain and stones and stuff. Second option (preferred) is to get creative with an angle grinder and some PVC and make huge duct to the front bumper via the wheel arch. Be careful with this as u dont wanna cut structural steel.

Exhaust tip and neons. fully sick Nahh seriously ure best off starting with an air filter/ cold air intake as its the easiestand cheapest. ure next step is ure exhuast, nothing fancy, just some good headers/extractors, whatever u want to call em and a 2 and 1/4 inch pipe with a high flow cat and muffler. That should be around $1k. From there its time for suspension work, brake upgrades fuel management. THe list goes on.

My trouble is that everybody drives em now days and i hate to follow trends. Yeh i can see the reason why, no doubt, but i havent driven one since i killed mine 6 years ago. May as well replace stuff like o2 and fule filter they wil be like 20 bucks each, (think someone was selling an o2 from an el falcon which fits) and they should be changed anyway for peace of mind.

standard gaps are like 1.2 i think but hey are fine unless u run over a bar of boost. Unless ure plugs are coverd inblack gunk they should still be fine and they would ping like crazy at high load/revs. It sounds electrical, try jiggling ure plugs and what not it could be ure coil packs as mentioned before. make sure everything has a good connection. If u get it to about 3500-4000 and cruise and pump it up and down does it still do this? oh yeh and just thought id check, u havent been "detailing" ure engine bay recently have u? the valley is filled with water? it happens.

Come on guys, the monaro is not that bad and it doesnt attract the wrong kind of attention on the road. Sure the dash looks like its made of old tic tac packets but it has pretty good grunt and suits the aussie environment ok. A damn good daily driver. U just need and insane R to play with on weekends. My battle against the NA 35 continues!!!! NA skyline, :spew: who ever heard of such a ridiculous thing.

ahh screw it, new car arrived today. Need driveway space bad. $3k The engine is very solid never boosted, turbo is low boost (6psi) the engine will last forever, a good buy.
