  1. I agree, just make sure you have a nice BIG oil drain
  2. Not something silly like the AFM plugs back to front, though shouldnt affect them as they will still be reading air
  3. not a chance in hell lol I would rather an old dial tune microguess
  4. Cheers, that is another thing I forgot to mention (flex fuel) but I do feel that is a little advanced for me, dual maps would be a big plus
  5. I had a look at the map sensor calibration table in the Wolf software...just seems weird to me...almost like signal bending, because 100% load on a 250cc motorbike will be way different to 100% load on a 600rwhp 1jz powered commodore ute. I'm sure it works ok...just prefer the idea of scaling the load points by manifold pressure x rpm, eg max 10psi boost, so scale the load points from say -14.7psi to +14.7psi that way I know what I am looking at in regards to setting up a target AFR map, or even just punching in a rough timing base map (will be road tuning a lot so will be tricky to hold a steady state load at high rpm)
  6. You must be the worlds only fan of the JZA80 dashboard lol

    Handbrake Turn R35

    ...Getrag V160 conversion? For skids?
  8. The guide is good, but a little backward if you ask me. Decent ECU and fuel pump should be top priority and eliminates all the issues associated with boost increases (r&r/fuel cut/horrible fuel economy) Edit to add - I wouldnt go anymore than 10psi on a stock turbo these days, they are simply too old and worn out, You can go more if you only do short bursts, but imo, not worth the risk
  9. I don't see any bargains in here...at all. I see cars being bought for what they are worth lol

    Handbrake Turn R35

Will be tricky to get the rears to lock up as you have said. best bet would be some really sticky front tyres, so you can use the brakes to get the car to dance around / pivot on its nose. Will be hard to master but doable
  11. Woohoo...we can show you dirty mexicans how its done...except most of our cars are still in bits...or will be in bits by march lol
  12. Lol...Ask the yanks on Supraforums and they will tell you a stock 2j is good for 12000000000hp on regular unleaded
  13. Nate - why u no run 30psi?
  14. How cheap is cheap Stao? Pm Me? Also - Vipec/Link users Was playing with the software last night...Geez there are some menu's and I'll be honest and say it is a little out of my scope. However I'm sure if I dun did read the destructions I would have a better idea lol So far, the Stinger I have been able to find everything easily but lacks helps menu's, Wolf's help menu box's are great, but I can't find a way of changing the load scale, Link/Vipec looks and feels great to use, but without knowing what everything is, it looks tricky and slow to use for the less experienced guys like me. On the cost side of it, The Stinger's price looks great, but doesn't come with a loom...so add that to the cost and you're at Wolf V4X money..and a couple of hundred more than the Adaptronic and the Haltech.
  15. My old falcon would do 100mph in 3rd at 5500rpm lol My AU2 Auto would do 110km/h in 1st!
  16. SR20 on speed? lol BBBBAAAAAARRRRPPPPPPPPPPP
  17. All the cool kids DONT drive skylines
  18. Thanks, will have a look into it now Also...anyone who has used the current wolf ECU's...is there any way of changing the load scale from percentage to a pressure readout? because to me % of load means nothing
  19. Awesome, something to look at then. I have actually just been going over the new EMS Stinger software.....So simple even I understand it...even comes with a base 1jz map lol
  20. Thanks, care to elaborate on the trigger lock on the Stingers?..and 1.5Bar map sensor on the Haltech is no good to me...1J's run 10psi standard so already past the resolution (.5Bar +ve pressure) Can they be fitted with a GM 3Bar or similar? Can be had for cheap...the software and funky weird HKS dongle however is not, unfortunately
  21. will depend on what the insurance co. says it is worth..they own it now
  22. have you tried pulling the oil cooler/remote filter off and running a standard oil filter off the block?
  23. ye, I think I bought some M5 x10s and got away with it just
