    the 6al's are tuned the same way as most efi computers, plug the laptop in and away you go, they also come with half a dozen or thereabouts preset curves if you dont want/cant get to a dyno

    wow not even 2% increase in power for 2K....biggest waste of money if I ever saw one. In regards to the temp difference between cyliners....well that is an extra 10mins on the dyno to address.

    Mine didnt have that restrictor thing either. Its possible that that exhuast was for a NA skyline its it is in fact on a skyline

    http://www.nengun.com/hks/heavy-duty-actuators aboot 200 buckos from nengun, but you could probably get the same item from GCG without the HKS sticker for less. you would just have to play with the preload until you have it where you want it.

    what about a HKS 1bar adjustable item, could just wind a big whack of preload on it when you want big boost and loosen it off if you are doing a heap of wet driving.

    it also still makes boost. sounds almost like a leaking intercooler pipe or dodgy afm

    Much much nicer for daily duties, 1jz's are so smooth and sweet sounding and with more torque on tap than a rb25 they are plenty quick.

    The quick spool valve wont work with twin scroll manifolds, unless you feel like shutting off 3 cylinders untill it reaches peak boost. would work if you had a single scroll manifold but you dont, the twin scroll setup should work better than the spool valve thing anyway.

    Looks like a neat little car, Will be good to see it when its done. Oh and if you are going to bin the GTRS ill take it...got a nice little collection of turbos going at the moment so can always add more

    will handle that power at the flywheel with a max of around 7000rpm, I wouldnt trust them with 450hp at the tyres though

    Easy to see the machine marks on the piston crowns, so yeah, as Dan said they are forged
