  2. my AE86 had an adjustable 5 link rear end in it so im no stranger to the joys of rose joints! Thanks for your help guys, im going to compete in the Qld round of Superdrift and then pull apart the rear sus and try and correct it. Do i change the mounting points on the subframe itself? The pictures are not all that clear to me. PS i'd love to see more pics of those race cars to get some ideas!

  11. your back to 10 degrees timing under full load from 4800 - 7200 rpm is this too conservative?
  12. Hi guys Just bought a dr30 this one The steering is dangerously vague which i attribute to the fact that it is a steering box car. Question: Are steering boxes all this sloppy or is something worn in the mechanism? Question: Has anyone converted their DR30 to rack and pinion with say... an s13 rack?
  13. it comes down to the level of development that has gone into that 34 GTR On one side, the v8 supercars are limited by their class (eg limited to 5 litres, RWD, Live Axle) but on the other side, it would take a hell of a R34 GTR to beat one of the quicker Supercars around a circuit. in the end, the two cars are not in the same class so the question is irrelevant
  14. and one more question with regard to the swing arm IRS, how does this affect rear camber when the car is lowered significantly? Is negative camber easily corrected with adjustable links? thanks guys
  15. Hi guys, Im looking at getting into a DR30 Skyline. I have some durability questions as i will be drifting this car at the track on a regular basis. How strong are the gearboxes? Are the Gearboxes replaceable with other nissan boxes? Is the Diff an r200 and is it the same as a later model nissan diff? What is the factory power limit of the FJ20et internals? Are FJ20's reliable revvers? Hopefully tommorow i will be able to post my new DR30 in this thread so you can see what im talking about. Thanks guys Andylaurel
  16. Dear drifters, the time has come for a change and big black bertha has to make way for something... well a little more nimble. It is a sad day for all and nothing is final yet however the car is on the market. Now is your chance to snap up one of the few drift spec laurels to be imported before the end of the 15 year old rule. The car is a 1989 Nissan Laurel Club S It is a factory Turbo but has been converted from Auto to manual in Japan. It has a late model RB20det (without the embossed "RB20" on the cam gear cover) The car has been modified specifically for drift using parts including. Full 3 inch exhaust including dump pipe. 7 point roll cage KEI OFFICE coil over suspension in new condition 2 Way mechanical LSD of unknown brand (clunky hehe) Nardi Steering wheel R32 GTSt seats (instead of those nasty stock laurel ones) It has a 3 puck button clutch. A Blitz DSBC It has possibly the most OLD SCHOOL turbo timer i have ever seen (it is cool) It has 4 to 5 stud wheel spacers (20mm thick) on the front and sports 17 by 9 inch factory R33 GTR wheels (uber cool) Front Strut Brace Aero Parts Include FULL BN SPORTS KIT (BRAND NEW) Aftermarket Aero bonnet (with autobarn bonnet clips hehe) pumped (by hand with stick) guards and if you buy withing 30 minutes using a credit card ill throw in 1 spare (stock) rb20 turbocharger 1 spare Nismo Bodykit 1 front mount intercooler (trust) a set of R33 GTST brakes for the front My dildo gearknob... (never used for anything other than changing gears i swear) 2 cupholders and 2 15 inch drift rims. Contact Andy on 0418720513 for details and test drifts. Location Gold Coast Price is $15500 but bear in mind i'm not too flexible on price.
