your a tool mate you couldnt drive a greasy finger up your own asshole. Anyone who watched the race last night witnessed the brilliance that was Michael Schumacher. Starting from 10th on the grid, after qualifying poorly with a fuel pressure problem, he was challenging for 3rd after only 4 laps. After a brilliant dive under brakes to overtake Fisichella, he burst his rear left tyre and was forced to tour an ENTIRE LAP at half speed and lost 70 seconds. He then proceeded to lap in the 12.3's consistantly (faster than race winner Massa) to claw back to withing 7 seconds of the podium. Did any of you ^^^^ even watch the race?

its an RB20 the flat spot you are reffering to is the "lack of torque"

the closer you get to 10:1 afr, the safer it gets the reason it may have become richer is because of the extra airflow caused by the dump and cat, combined with the added fuel flow of the aftermarket pump. What you get is a richer mixture causing less power (cos before you were lean) someone please explain this better than me...

the only turbo nissan i ever owned that didnt have a power steering leak was my DR30 skyline. ones that did 180sx Laurel R32

yeah thats what it is.

i'd say it would be a considerable expense for an E46 cut but this is a picture from a car for sale on the auctions at the moment, an E36 for 1 , 900 000 Y which is about 21 grand. NA power is great, the noise is fantastic and the ability to thrash all day long is confidence inspiring... but for the money you need to spend, you can always make double, if not triple the horsepower using a turbocharger

i work with a guy who grew up in the dark ghettos of Labrador on the Gold Coast and he is COMPLETELY CONVINCED that his VK is a superior machine to my skyine. i patronise him constantly by asking him to explain to me how something so mundane as a dirty old VK could be superior to my skyline (with its racing pedigree) he tells me its rare!!! he says its a rare car because he has had (by someone else mind you) a Buick v6 out of a VP commodore!!! I let him know that a VK commodore is hardly a rare vehicle and that despite its power upgrade, a buick v6 is hardly a motor to brag about! As a side note, i feel this information is relevant: This guy has never brushed his teeth in his life and they are all rotten (brown and black) at the top! He blames the lack of flouride in the Gold Coast water system... I live on the coast and i've never had a filling!!! (side note: that DR30 is no longer my car in my sig, i now have a R32 GTSt powered by RB25)

we cant compare a NA motor with a turbomotor im saying i think you'd have better results if you were intent on building an NA inline 6 with 2.6 litres capacity. comparing NA to turbo is like comparing apples with oranges. ah f**k it, why dont we just get some e46 BMW M3 front cuts out of japan and run those motors... 3.6 litres 6 throttles high compression 246 kw NA power

if the ECU chucks a wobbly cos there are no injectors, plug em back in and just dont use them... you said "the comfort of a ceffy" have you been in one? they are like dirty old VN commodores!!! get a laurel and drop in a Infinity motor. Now that would be the shiz

theres a thread stickied... do a search noob

who cares what it would cost!!! can you imagine the sound of it! not to mention the power delivery! NA power is real power, so much more usable!

when refering to N20 cars, you cant call them Natural or Forced, because they are neither... effectively N20 is two parts nitrogen and 1 part oxygen, however in a liquid form... the Nitrogen does nothing... but the oxygen is able to be burnt. so when you arm the nitrous, it effectively adds a 1/3rd more oxygen to your mixture, enabling more fuel to be burnt this works on a similar principle to super/turbochargers

9.5's will fit fine... just use a 225 tyre stretched over. dont use a 255 or whatever ^^^ he said.

nah people do it so they can write CAI on their list of modifications.

What Persuaded You To Get A Skyline?

i got it cos for 9grand, you cant go any faster! -
Can A R32 Ecu Be Used On A Rb25det
andylaurel replied to 13thracer's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
just use the RB20 loom and AFM so long as the AFM and CAS are RB20 units, it will run. The AFM will simply read more air flow and compensate with more fuel... so if you have turbo injectors (370 compared with the RB20's 260's) youll find it will run too rich. i found that the knock sensors are the same units, and by visual inspection the CAS looks to be the same (i will know for sure in a couple of days) oh and just note that the RB20 ecu has no provisions for the NVCS so you will need to go to Jaycar to sort that out;. -
spend the hours putting in a really nice CAI man, and when your done, see if you can notice a power gain... if you can, check yourself into a clinic cos your crazy

RB26 head with open ITB's upgrade cams to 304 duration and higher lift stiffer valve springs Shave the head and use dome top pistons for around 12:1 compression some port work should make close to 200 rwkw
-
speaking from experience, MAP sensors find it hard to get a good solid reading at idle due to the lack of plenum associated with ITB's... it is therefore a good idea to run a TPS based map only. I suggest a microleb cough microtech

with the correct air fuel ratios, any NA engine can be boosted.

it only takes a couple of mins to drop all the oil all over the ground.
