  2. Didn't he pretty much win it by hogging the kart?
  3. Apparently they will be brought in, but with how they are described to work there's gotta be a few loopholes surely
  4. Considering they are fixed it's not as bad as ones that can pop up anywhere to make revenue save lives... Knowing where they are is more of a proven deterrent, it's just that the government won't accept & agree with that.
  5. When it's no longer in this section, it will be open to everyone. Bardlie, put me on the reserve list please
  6. Heard about you doing this Shae They even had a 3/4 week backlog back when I get my first yellow sticker on my old 33 a couple of years ago...way to keep on top of it lol. Danny recommended to a mate to avoid something like this happening (due to the way it is these days with police & any modified import), the best way to go would be a GTR with aftermarket low-mounts tuned for around 330hp. Reliable, not hard or overly expensive to achieve, and for a 4wd car a decent amount of power for the street. Maybe a good option if you sell your car when the reverse-work is completed?
  7. Just because someone is flying over, it shouldn't mean that you need to rush your decision. If you're talking about 40k worth of something, you should make sure everything is going to be sweet. PS if you do buy it, I really hope the guy flying over can either get his money back or is coming here for another reason
  8. I see what you mean...I guess next time I better not tell them that they are making me late for my meeting with Mr Kizon
  9. Don't go, it will just end in divorce
  10. GT30 ftw, but 35 with a smaller housing would be tempting too
  11. So many hero drivers in this thread lol. Yes, you are better than everyone
  12. If anyone has a good experience be grateful, I've had 1 good experience out of 6. I don't drive like a dickhead, none were for speeding (although that's the reason one gave me, not to do with the fact it was about midnight in Rockingham) & I'm polite to cops, but it just depends on who it is that pulls you over. I've met quite a few good cops, and a few that take advantage of the uniform. It's a shame but that's life. Always show respect as in the end they are just doing their job, but in my eyes respect is a two-way street & if I don't get it I won't step out of line but I'm not going to bend over for them either... #1 - Not slowing down enough through a roundabout, good cop who pretty much said you don't want a nice car wrecked by someone not slowing enough coming from the other way. Breath test, license check & on my way. #2 - Small man with authority syndrome cop pulled me over after I went past them to the red light they were turning at, had a go at me just for getting out of the car & only let me go cos their car was holding up traffic. General shit-house attitude, would have definitely ended in a sticker if they had the time. #3 - Old cop with no idea gave me a sticker for noise on gear changes (heard a bit of flutter through the filter as they were doing speed checks, no-one signalled to pull over except for him running from the back waving his arms), "doubtful tread on front tyres" which were fine, & fmic install because he thought the suspension springs were cut to fit it. Seriously. Took 5 months to get that off though... #4 - Pulled over in Cannington one night leaving a cruise, not knowing the area I had headed the wrong way to go home & was turning right. Realising I'd get even more lost, I indicated out when the lights went green & pulled back onto the road. A cop a few cars back turned on the lights & asked what I was doing. Told him I didn't know the area & he said I was heading the wrong way. Erm, no shit I just told you that's what I realised so I was going to turn around when I could..... Anyway, had him & his partner talk me down, then both open my doors & glove box without permission, and already having a sticker pretty much gave a firm attitude straight back to them. Then when I left heading the other way, they drove that way as well. Highway patrol targeting cars not drivers FTL #5 - Booze bus, waving everyone through & a cop at the back said on the radio to check out the skyline. Rookie loudmouth female cop told me to pop the bonnet, then while about 241 cops are looking in the engine bay said my 2 week old tyres were low on tread. Senior cop who actually knew what he was on about pointed everything out & was happy when I showed the permits & engineer reports, got let off but probably lucky cos they were trying to make an example for all the recruits. #6 - Pulled over for not speeding in a residential area in Rockingham. Never mind the time, place or the fact I was doing 50 & stopping completely at 2 stop signs though. Given a sticker for camber wear on the rears which even though they were being replaced the next week it was fair enough & the sticker came off first time, but another poor attitude to target the type of car.
  13. Afternoon-ish cruise with overnight stay as a group (to help keep the cost down) with dinner & probably drunken shenanigans would be good instead of having the majority of people driving back later What do you reckon? Plan B is everyone bunks up at your house. Kek
  14. Can you add me to the reserve list please?? (if there is one). Should be down to watch regardless anyway!
  15. I didn't think that they would be so hard to find, but split one of mine this morning & in the time I had to get to a few tyre places, nobody could help me out! End result was putting on a space saver & throwing the rim in the boot. This is what I'm talking about here: Anybody have any clue where? Searching & google aren't helping me much either
  16. Passenger side engine mount it is, fixing it on the weekend. Have yourself a lollipop
  17. Hey all, got an issue at the moment & I am lost! Done a search but I can't find anything about a similar problem so here goes: In 1st or 2nd, I can drive the car normally & change gears fine, no problems. But if I put my foot down & the power comes up, the gearstick itself moves towards the right (but it stays in gear). It's worse/more obvious in 1st than 2nd, and in 3rd there is vibration that you can feel. I've mentioned this to a few people & they have all said gearbox mount first off, I've had a look underneath & can't seen anything obvious though. Probably should have done it while I was under but I'm going to put a jack under the box & take the mount off, maybe it will be like the engine mounts in my old 33 that looked ok but as soon as the engine was lifted they both split in 2 & fell to the ground Of course I'm worried it's a sign that the gearbox is telling me it's time to start saving, but I'm also very hopeful it's a simple solution! Any ideas will be appreciated but here's some other notes: * Car off/neutral, you can move through all the gears fine * No grinding going to any gears * Only really happens if I'm not driving slowly * I'm confused as hell
  18. Try the search function, been covered in detail a few times at least
  19. I used Don for my other 33 & had no problems, he was good! I've got pre-approval for my current 33 & was going to use him again, best bet is just to call him & speak to him again, pretty much just explain your situation & see what the deal is. Not much can be done posting up on here
  20. Quoted for the Nostradamus-like ability to forecast the weather more than a month in advance
  21. GTi-R & the mx5 can go head to head, right Keith?
  22. If it's still registered (ie - has plates) & the sticker isn't for a safety defect like a faulty seatbelt/wheel nearly coming off, it would be fine. He won't be the only one there with aftermarket suspension after all
