  14. you must use , oem studs and nuts or Inconel (or other high tenstile studs) or you will have this problem for ever! they will stretch everytime when the turbo gets hots and eventually break off and then you can have a drama removing them.
  15. hey guys as soon as there is something interesting to post i will put it up! not much happening right now! work work work is all and yes the help from hi octane has been great! sandblast the 34 shell and then cage it is next, should be done by end of march. about the same time the body kit arrives, cheers russ
  16. i think standard is about 14 kg , my cf was 8 kg (2000 hp rated), the cf 800 hp rated shaft was 6kg, i think dont quote me tho!
  17. also where you from , i could take a look oneday if your in brissy.
  18. ijust pulled an r34 apart, and theres quite a few places you could get the petrol fumes, check it's more from the front or back of the car like in the engine bay ( injectors, fuel lines) if you can smell it fairly strongly in the boot , i would then suggest it's coming from the fuel tank, one area it would leak fairly easily is the fuel lines out the top or connectors as suggested above, but there is also a big seal on the tank were all your fuel lines go in, if this is not positioned correctly fumes would be definately leaking into the cabin, this normally upset if somebody has fitted a hi flow intank fuel pump or repaired the fuel gauge sender etc. cheers russ
  19. also the gtr transmission shift times are calculated from time power is released from the wheels to the time it's reapplied, where as most manufacturers calculate the time it takes to shift in the box!! quite a difference.
  20. yep think mine was about the 2k mark, & the 800hp rated one was a bit cheaper than that!
  21. RIP Also a good time to remember to ensure you harnesses are correctly positioned and mounted & same goes with your seat mounting. from what i have read the seat may have come away which is not good at all. (unconfirmed)
  22. yeah one piece tailshaft is the go! duncan is right even if you put a new centre bearing in it, there not new for very long when driven hard! and the syptoms of a flogged center bearing will be axle tramp in most cases.
