  1. haven't had any issues with mine and i've done my fare share of trackdays....
  2. HPI magazine did an article on this exact topic a couple of months back. it was pretty detailed from memory, i recommend you track down a copy (i think i might even have it, i will dig it up for you if i can ).... everything to look for has mostly been mentioned. i'll only say this.... Dont buy it without driving it 1st!!! you can tell so much about a car just by driving it for a little while. if your unsure, then take someone with you who knows what to look, listen and feel for. it could very well be the difference betwen a dud and a winner....
  3. i think a bunch of people are planning on going to wakefield in late november for a "speed off the streets" day. wont be timed or anything comp based, but its great fun. i know its 5 weeks away, but should be one to keep an ear out for....
  4. 1. Bullet32 (Mick). 2. Bluprint (Mark). 3. Stinkypoo (Eiji - sorry if I spelt it wrong). 4. Frink (Luke).
  5. SAU run very good events, but they are few and far between. another club is http://www.circuitclub.com.au/. they hold events usually once a month at various tracks around the area...
  6. have a look at the for sale section on here. i know there is a couple of guys on here selling their 'lines locally, should be worth a look. after all the looking i did, i realised that it would've been so much easier to have looked at these forums and bought one from an enthusiast who appreciates it and looks after it. as thats why were all here on these forums..... as for which one to buy, you need to drive both and pick the one which you find most comfortable to drive. you'll fall in love with it after you buy it regardless of which model it is....
  7. good question... which location is your dad gonna go to? the museum? or our new location which hasn't been disclosed (i think) due to certain reasons? im happy to talk politics, it is my job after all!
  8. Thats great! i'll be happy to meet with him on friday. i just hope that your dad and the other representatives are good negoitators....
  9. Hey Steve, how ya doing? long time no see.... Agree with all of the above.... Is the gauge still moving like normal, only to read 0 at full boost? If so, then it does sound like you have a split in the line. If you have an aftermarket boost gauge, then just disconnect the standard gauge as you'll probably almost never use. However, if you don't have an aftermarket gauge, then you'll need to find the leak and repair it. Even though the standard gauge isn't the best for an accurate reading of pressure, it is still however a good indication that the turbo is making boost. Either way, the problem should be dealt with, as even a small boost leak can upset the ECU and other sensors which in turn will affect the way that your car generally runs. The other thing to remember is that over time, the split in the line will only get bigger, therefore becoming a bigger problem....
  10. its got nothing to do with happy pills, im just putting in the other side to the equation.... i wish it was because of happy pills, cause then i would have a mad night!!!
  11. What is their stance on health or on the closing of the Wanniassa medical centre? Its all good and well to say you want this and that, but without addressing the more general issues as well, they simply won’t get elected. And even if they do 1 or 2 in, they’ll need a majority vote in the assembly to pass their bill and we all know what the current stance is of the labor and liberal governments on a dragway and such. They were too tight arsed to cough up 16 million for a dragway, so do you think they will cough up 80 million for a complex? It simply wont happen.... Bullet32: yes i know i am repeating myself, but its the truth, like it or loath it.....
  12. ooohhhhh! i like surprises! what'd you reckon guys, a big HP dyno demo or maybe an R35? cant wait.... should we be there at 9am for the surprise? or will it be done later in the morning?
  13. YAY! one more sleep to go! ok, i might be a little too excited, but i haven't been to an SAU event for a while now.... also BIG UP's to Cejay for organising it

  16. i'm in! $200 for a properly organised and exclusive event is a good price. hope this gets off the ground....
  17. we are not selling jap-spec r34 GTR's nor do any active members in the ACT own an r34 GTR therefore we should not be advertising the fact..... im not saying that i could do a better job, but your trying to make a piece of art instead of trying to make a simple banner..... also having a big black car will cost more in ink and the contrast on an image that size and dark in colour will be nil. you wont see any of the detail....
  18. i thought he sold it?
  19. looks pretty good. car is WAY too big and flag needs to bein a more front on position. otherwise its ok.....
  20. series 1 or 2? plastic or fibreglass? willing to send interstate?
  21. best to keep the slower manufacter's at the back....
  22. had an interesting spot last night.... was walking to my car when i noticed a funny looking muffler on an 89' shape integra. i stopped and had a closer inspection. to my surprise it was a dirty big turbo charger! Kudos to you buddy! i've heard of that setup before, but haven't seen it, let alone on an integra!
  23. you really are a garbage man.... it was designed originally for motorcycles and by the looks of it, it will remain that way....
  24. thats when all your woes started. think hard....
  25. it looks pretty and all, but i dont think it will be a good 'racing' circuit. great for time trials, but again, not enough overtaking opportunites. the radius of most the corners are too long....
