  1. I'm trying not to be negative, but an undetaking such as this needs one hell of a business case and i haven't seen one element of this post or your Facebook page that would even come close. What have you put together so far in terms of: Who will pay for it? Where will it go? How much will it cost? What is the return on investment?
  2. Pretty much lol. If we pooled all the footage from different cameras you might be able to do a neat montage but as Shell said, mine looked like a Golf-driving-blonde that got caught up with some riff raff
  3. Wattup Canberra peeps! Nice to meet some new people today. Hopefully I can drive to the next one, although my "chauffeur" did an excellent job in the mighty Golf I had intended on taking many more pics, hopefully these can be supplemented with some much better ones:
  4. When nobody else was looking Shell was secretly Googling "Wedding Levis" and "How not to look pregnant at your shotgun wedding"
  5. Argh sorry dude i should have put a message out to you and Shawn! We'll just have to do it again But yeah, we did our best to clean them out of Wild Türkêy. Good people watching spot there too, had some good lols.
  6. That's hilarious, coz I reckon my 2012 Golf (pleb spec, not GTI powerzzz) is 6km/h out too!
  7. Dude.... don't ask questions, just enter the Texi. As Duncan said if you can't justify the very very minimal cost of Texi, you're going to struggle with anything more intensive.

    Eoi!

Replying to register my non-interest for the explicit reason of providing further clutter.
  9. Seconded. Food is amazing (LOVE the dumplings) and the bar is well stocked Tried Mrs G's in Potts Point the other week, another good option for modern asian!
  10. Commentary looks like it has been carried over from Run 6 (the lists on the two pages are identical) - my best time was on run 5 which had no penalty applied.
  11. Just.... wow. What a f**king unreal track. I can't believe this unloved corner of NSW has been hiding such a gem for so long. Thanks to the club members who organised the day but most of all thanks to the volunteers who sat around the circuit and helped to make it run as smoothly as possible - you guys are legends. Much better than the jerks at the start line who changed my team name on Natsoft. 7th in the overglorified cressida on proper street tyres - invest in semis i think next time, chase that pesky Cass coupe down.... P.S. anyone who doesn't come next time is a raging homo
  12. http://www.motoring.com.au/news/2012/large-passenger/nissan/nissans-v8-supercar-contender-shrouded-in-mystery-28749
  13. Just read an article stating that Nissan insisted that they would only participate if they could use their own engine instead of a pushrod (still has to be a V8 obviously). Great news!
  14. Skaife's Car Of The Future aka just-add-decals instant racing team. Nothing about it will be exciting, fun, beneficial or even interesting in the slightest.
  15. Considering it would cost you $1795 to buy the ECU direct from Haltech, another $850 for labour (intalling MAP sensor & removing AFM etc) and a full tune sounds good to me
  16. MRC came highly recommended when I was looking for a tuner, and I've heard of Unique doing good things with Toyotas
  17. So if you venture into VIC, you just get shot on sight?
  18. I've driven to the last three at EC and haven't even seen a cop on the first day (Thursday setup day). Haven't heard of it happening to anyone i know either, but i reckon the key is to keep off the roads on saturday & sunday.
  19. JZX100 with street tyres, busted shocks, sagging springs and a loose nut behind the wheel. 260rwkw makes up for some downfalls
  20. Many thanks mister eric! Matt's stopwatch wasn't far off, and i'm dead stoked with that time on my first go!
  21. I thought the sessions were exactly long enough mainly for this reason. Personally, by the time i found my mojo, i had just enough time to hot lap until the tyres/engine temps hit their limit before the session ended. For street cars on street rubber i thought it was spot on.
  22. My disc arrived during the week, some of the full res ones are really good. Album of resized pics here: http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a248/tatsa05/wakefield_17dec2011/
