    Shell V-racing

FWIW, I've used the Nulon Pro Strength octane booster when I have had my cars down in Tassie a couple of years ago (it only had 95-octane at the time) and when I've raced them at Calder/Heathcote when its been warm and they both went well with no problems.
  2. He mentioned the location just after my first post in this thread, outside Bunnings.
  3. Thanks for the quick reply Roy covered everything there. Good to hear that a few of the SAU guys offer guidance on the day.
  4. Ah ok, not a bad spot
  5. Was this tonight? What part of Dalton Road, I live nearby and haven't seen a setup there for ages...
  6. I'm interested in doing the driver training seeing as I have never raced at Sandown before, how many driver training sessions are run during the day on average? Do any of the SAU guys instruct or is it WRX club people only? Also with regards to the db limit, do GT-R's with your usual large exhaust systems frequently go over this limit? Thanks, sorry for the questions but I'm a bit of a circuit newbie...
  7. Paid (DECA-Ben Winstone) Entry form will be faxed through on Saturday
  8. Ah finally the drag day is announced I'm there with both cars, can't wait
  9. I was watching the right news, car isn't black and clearly had white wheels. It was the same car I saw on Saturday, had it confirmed, driver is apparently in hospital under police guard.
  10. I saw a quick clip on the news before, did the GT-R have that paint that changes from various colours like blue to red to orange/green etc? I saw it had white wheels. I think it was at a show I had my cars at on Saturday, got taken for a drive in it.
  11. Happy birthday mate, same day as me Hope you had a good one!
  12. As requested: Also shows the three Dinkum Classics Skylines I have (92 Pace Car, 91 GIO Car and #2 91 car). Will be putting my 2nd STP and AXIA cars on ebay soon to raise funds for more models
  13. Lucky bastard haha I got a ticket for the same thing a couple of weeks ago, wrote a nice letter to the council trying to get out of it but got rejected lol.
  14. They're all in the boxes still, never opened as I haven't sorted a display case out for them yet. Once they are on display I'll take a pic, until then its shenanigans i guess
  15. Just saw this thread now, been collecting the diecast versions of Skylines for a while now. Have the three Bathurst R32s in 1/43 scale along with a gunmetal grey GT-R and Calsonic R32. In the 1/18th scale I have the Autoart Gunmetal R32 and R34 Z Tune, Calsonic, Hyoseki, STP/Taisan, Axia R32 Group A Touring Cars and Pennzoil R34 JGTC car. May be selling the Axia and STP cars soon as I have two of them. Need to get the Bathurst 1991 car and a couple of other Group A Jap Touring Cars in the 1/18 scale. In plastic kits I have the Axia R32 Touring Car and the Pennzoil R34 JGTC car (still sealed), also in the middle of converting a Calsonic R32 kit into one of the Winfield GT-Rs as I came across a decal kit to suit 1/24 scale. Collection is nothing special compared to others, but its getting there.
  16. Sorry mate, I did spend a bit of time near the cars watching the DVD you guys had playing, the cars looked great.
  17. They come up on ebay from time to time, check on there, luckily I got mine from Biante before they sold out
  18. Was a great event, took a heap of pics of the GIO GT-R, will get them up in the next few days. Spent ages drooling over that thing
  19. Heres another vid with the Calsonic car:
  20. Some info on the event including times/costs: Taken from http://www.vhrr.com/phillip_island-Media4.htm Will be heading down on Saturday in the GT-R to cheer the Nissans on, looking forward to seeing some of these cars up close.

    Water Restrictions

It depends on how dirty the car is, if its really bad I'd take it to the car wash for a quick spray and use a sponge to remove the heavy dirt. But if its light then I find it works great. Regular waxing/polishing will help avoid scratches. Regarding the swirl marks I haven't found that to be the case on my cars, I do use a fair bit of it though so that the cloth is lubricated well and go over it again lightly once I'm done. Everybody has a different method, I'm just saying what works for me

    Water Restrictions

Meguiars NXT Generation Speed Detailer or their Quik Detailer are what I use and none of my three cars have been washed since last year, yet look like they were washed yesterday Only takes 10mins to bring the GT-R up to spec, use it every 1-2 weeks depending on weather on my daily driver too. Its great stuff, a couple of other brands also sell similar products.
  23. Reason for selling (for those who have asked) is I have decided not to go ahead with a fuel system/ecu upgrade on my GT-R.
  24. Congrats guys and girls, looking forward to a great year.
  25. Happy Birthday! Have a great day.
