  1. personally i would stick with the nissan gtr ones with the resistor pack, but if u need the extra 110cc then u need it
  2. def fuel pump first then throw in the pfc with an ex cam gear maybe
  3. i have a set of shocks and springs $150 dont really want to separate though
  4. yeh hes apparently got more fuel than heidfeld but anything can happen, watching him Kimi and schuey should be awesome
  5. cheers for ideas guys, my first idea was coils also but apparently they checked ok and they reckon the problem is elsewhere, and it is pinging etc
  6. im after the drivers side power window motor for an R33 gtst, in good condition - not a stuffed one pls  also after the drivers side power window switches black plastic panel if possible Sydney best case but interstate if need be PMs appreciated
  7. yeh he took it to a Nissan dealer, there is also some pinging around but no obvious smoke and not really a huge amount of jerkiness - it seems to come on boost fine, pull up to around 4700-4800 rpm then just not take advantage of the boost at those high rpms cause of timing or mapping im thinking, but this obviously makes a fair few assumptions..... I could swear I can hear some fuel going through the muffler when its doing it badly
  8. Hi peoples, I am trying to help my old man diagnose a problem on his R33 RB25DET. It seems to be running lean, an a/f problem that has possibly increased over time and now shows its head through a loss of power above say 4800rpm to the redline. Below this rpm it seems fine, its just feels like its being held back a bit up there and sometimes worse than other times. The car is completely driveable no stalls or serious spluttering, just not pulling hard to the redline like it should and possibly unburnt fuel going through timing or mapping?? sensors - afm, O2, crank angle coils, spark plugs - coils checked out fine apparently The car has had steady state modifications for years which include only 3" full exhaust and HKS pod, stock boost 7-9 psi max I guess, and I noticed speed limiter removed otherwise stock ecu I assume. Been treated and serviced well, I have a readout from the diagnostics if anyone could have a sqiz, I guess the afm/O2 sensor readings are about what would be expected at those rpm?? otherwise those sensors could be the problem but I guess they should have noticed or checked those external sensors were ok? computer codes were all clear too RB25DET diagnostic readout I guess the bottom line may be get her on a dyno, but I would appreciate some ideas or experiences from other RB25ers!! cheers
  9. i think a ecu reset and should be ok? maybe thats what is meant by recalibrated says how to do it in tutorials/DIY section im pretty sure
  10. like anyone is going to listen to you in this community mate u screw people f#ck off
  11. make sure absolutely no oil or coolant leeks - radiator and overflow bottle full?? any more heat/steam from bay or only the stock water temp gauge reading too high too early??
  12. so we are saying any aftermarket cam gear will do if installed with locktite on those bolts and the cam belt cover on??
  13. anyone got these bits
  14. ur saying it coincidentally ran perfect afrs but this was nothing to do with the fact that you thought it was on the way out yeh? and that the bosch pump is in flow/power range and still sees a decrease in power??
  15. yeh i did a search on this and ur r spot on, HKS ones are reasonably priced look good but only have three bolts which may or may not move under high stresses other ones like dunno Trust or Tomei?? maybe they are the bet
  16. haha yeh rb 6 cylinder in 180sx seems to make the engine and induction sounds that much closer and louder, and its more screamy than a rb25, though the rb25 exhaust note has maybe a throatier mid range
  17. hello, I need a few specific parts, hopefully someone has one or the other around, if not im sure I can make do but thanks for reading. 1. RB25DET black ~ 30mm pipe from bov to comp inlet (&assoc hoses if possible) 2. RB25DET throttle bypass hose starting at the 90 degree aluminium pipe on top of engine ~ 20mm hose towards plenum 3. Davies Craig 10" thermo fan also if anyone has a relatively new one that is unused please PM me if you may be able to help me out for a reasonable amount cheers
  18. do you have the black 30mm plumback pipe from factory bov to inlet?? or the hose from 90degree aluminium pipe to plenum?? (throttle bypass hose) prolly a random one but just asking
  19. are these pumps available or is this just being bumped??
  20. i reckon the rb20 sounds better than the rb25, sr20 or CA18 - I havent heard the RB26 enough times to know but I expect it would sound different and better
  21. could it just be getting to point where the rb20 turbo is running out of puff, my old CA18DET would be like that because it had all the bolt ons but the stock turbo would run out of huff at like 5000rpm could be completely wrong though just an idea
  22. maybe useful to split sounds up into: induction - filter/s, compressor/s, bov/s, throttle/s, plenum exhaust - manifold design, turbine/s, wastegate/s, cat, muffler engine - I am no expert but from above lifters, capacity???? RB20, RB25, RB26, RB30 induction/exhaust noises may more depend just on the turbo system bolt on design (ie single, twin, big, small) and the exhaust gas potential of the engine what do the N/A versions of these engines sound like with an exhaust, say an rb25de - are they almost louder because the turbo doesnt 'muffle' the exhaust note??
  23. yah mine got stolen 10 metres from where I was sleeping off street lower north shore!!, found 2 weeks later in housing commission car park next to Maquarie Centre/Uni parked nicely with rims still on but bov, filter, ebc, stereo etc gone - lucky to get her back...
  24. is there a torque setting on these or just tighten em??
