  3. definately can feel the difference between light 15" on the rear and heavier 17" on the rear accelerates a bit quicker like someone else said like a lightened flywheel concept
  4. anyone else reckon that peak oil article is written a lil alarmist, none of us will survive the die off etc 5.5 billion people will die in the next few years cause weve already had the peak there are some shockin truths in there but come on, no more food cause tractors run on petrol n that but it does show our way of life has just happened and meandered along rather than long term planned
  5. im getting my ecu remapped pronto, no more running rich n retarded for me with these friggin prices why dont we have oil instead of coal dammit!!
  6. hi SK, Im after a front swaybar for a 180sx with a RB20, as the stock swaybar is touching the sump its not an R32 but its close! i think the closest part no. is BNF20 but I beleive they can custom make it a little forward or dip to fit?
  7. Powerplay Imports in Drummoyne are a good service workshop or maybe UAS Castle Hill, havent been there though
  8. Hi people, just after some info on how to drain/clean/flush the fuel tank, searched a bit but couldnt find any tips. I have the pump cradle out and a new fuel filter installed and dont want to pump through the dregs in there. Any tips as to how to go about it would be great, cheers
  9. im putting a sealed battery in a unsealed supercheap box, went against the sealed box and vent annoyance but apparently a marine battery case would be the go, a auto electrician said he could get me one once
  10. oh sorry, pls continue on your wordy path to BOV enlightenment Steve  no offence intended dude but im out
  11. umm Garret would sell/rebuild more turbos if their reliability was slightly compromised by people not running BOVs at all........lol its seriously not their problem and they know it in terms of le mans, reliability is compromised in racing for speed untill it influences a cars ability to finish as quickly as it can
  12. lol I went through all this crap b4 like many im sure, you just have to learn to move on from the bov crap and realise that turbos make power and torque, these little things are decoys eating ur money for no reward but a psshhh......... I was going to get a greddy type s for $260, then I realised my foolishness and bought a RB25 garret turbocharger for $300 - id like to see a bov give 190rwkw!!!!!
  13. hi, im after the heavy duty black air hose that clamps on to the elbow of the aluminium crosspipe, one that goes 90 degrees towards the plenum. any chance u have this random hose??
  14. got the battery already, now thats service cheers Jerry
  15. i think it may be only you in this case cause it was the tyre wall not being strong enough on the high speed and downforce ring corner - its not a normal tyre discussion between bridgestone and michelin in this case
  16. unused=new right check the group buys new for $650 is a bargain, cost like $800 most places
  17. yes to summarise me reckons: michelin made an engineering mistake (with the tyre wall strength not the wear rate is my understanding) michelin teams kicked up a fuss and started a childish power struggle that intentionally stirred emotions of past ass kicking by Ferrari who in this case do just happen to run Bridgestone tyres which were fine FIA didnt act quickly enough or decisively enough to dissipate a damaging situation
  18. good job Paul cant wait to be pumpin!!
  19. just saw this group buy, I need one also pls can pick up this week
  20. there should now be a massive look at the constitution of F1 - what is the sport/business? about what do people want to see???? If you ask me one only must remember the racing/environment in the 80s n early 90s - who do we remember Prost, Senna, Mansell, Burger - all fantastic F1 drivers, now they were racers. Problem is now the sport/teams/administration/business thinks its way bigger than the champions in the ****pit. Now the racing is more bout teams and brand names and technology. Its turned into a technology race just look at the focus Michelin, Ferrari, Mclaren, Bridgestone rararara... Now the only ones who are going to win are full of $$ technology and cold minded ruthlessness. I think you could point the finger all day but F1 is eating itself - is it a motorsport in which humans go toe to toe at 300km/hr or an enormous technology circus where its a pure engineering/marketing race and all you do is look for loop holes to try and win. Dont get me wrong im an engineer but there comes a point in sport which is what we are talking about, now the rules must be updated to demand more of the driver (get rid of launch control, traction control, further reduce downforce, go back to the clutches and gear shifter too) and also marginally lower the speed and make it about drivers and overtaking again.
  21. yah I hope our cricketers atleast do something good tonight - u guys hear that beaten by Bangladesh  what is the world coming to :werd:
  22. yeh good info guys awesome troubleshooting resource, sounds like running on 5 cylinders cause of a coil or plug and also maybe an air leak thingo - black throttle gasket, throttle bypass hoses, plenum hoses in there too, good luck negativecamber
  23. boost cut is a characteristic of the ecu processing the voltage signal from the afm, not the afm itself
