  1. I found Midnight Racer very easy/good to deal with. The only reason I backed out was the unavailability of postage insurance, and I wasn't prepared to risk $400 for the wing to get damaged in transit. Thanks for holding on to the wing, and taking the time to sort out freight costs. If you were able to get postage insurance, the money would be in your account. Good luck with your sales.
  2. i'm guessing closer to $20K maybe a little more
  3. B4 i pay, i need to sort out how i'm getting to Ringwood at 10am
  4. Actually Ronin has a valid point. Ben will most probably not appreciate people coming into his w/shop, just to meet eachother and look at cars. It is a place of business and he is a VERY busy person. If people are genuine about getting work done by him, i'm sure he will be very helpful, but to use his business as a meeting place, without his permission is really silly. Just because you are paying to do a job, does not entitle you to organise meets during working hours. I'm sure you would feel the same at your place of employment .

I think it looks awesome. I see a bit of the new GTR concept nose.
  8. Is it the one i span out on? If so, you should have. You should try driving a car with the power response of a light switch. eg: nothing...nothing...waiting....whoops sideways . But that has now been all resolved, can't wait till EAS opens to get a re-tune!!!! Also i am cautious on the back tracks, i have been through the expense of repairing the car after a on track accident (no insurance), do not want to repeat it, if possible. Compairing my worst runs to your best ones.............. Plus i'm not talking about having the skills to out run the cops Edit: Added more info
  9. Still not good enough, better driver required
  10. You'll need a better driver then
  11. Forgot to mention, the adjustment of the CAS is for th "base" timing, the timing is then adjusted/controlled via the tunning of the ecu.
  12. Your car will be imponded b4 it reaches the Monash Fwy, then he'll miss the test
  13. So what are the prizes for each catagory?
  14. I'm serious too, i'll take you for $400 I don't have to pay for fuel, great to have a company car Just doing it to piss Dezz off
  15. Any you are surprised by this? It's almost a 8hr round trip for her . I wouldn't take you either , unless you paid me $400 And for what? Because you think doing the test in Wang is easier than Blackburn. If your driving skills aren't up to standard practice more I also thought you had to do the test within a limited radious to your residential address, has the law changed?
  16. Glad to read it has gone through smoothly.
  17. PM sent. Are you sure that is a HKS EVC4, as this is what it looks like
  18. Shameless plug If it's the guage in the cluster i have a black Nismo 280km/h speedo for sale. yes..........for a 32 gts-t
  19. Usually about 2 weeks, but i have heard of fines coming 6 months later.
  20. We are not knocking him. The logistics are huge. Read the first post again; his front wheel almost landed in he lap so i dare say a few things from the front suspension are bent . Has anything i stated sounded like i have no idea? Didn't read any of your great ideas on how to legalize the conversion, etc. This project will end up costing him more money than the GTS route, and if you read the first post you'll realise that money is an issue.
  21. Manual is useless. If the dejetro is anything like the wolf, the ecu dictates the position of the CAS. Not too sure how it works but i know my mechanic fiddles with the CAS , using a timing light, after the car is idling and b4 the tune.
  22. Agreed that the 2jz is an awesome motor: but what a pain in the ass conversion!!! The effort far out-weigh the benefits, I would rather go 26/30
  23. Yes they did: RB25de (non turbo) To make it legal, you'll probably need to take it to an engineer, I wouldn't think there would be much hassle, probably justa brake upgrade. If you are goning to do this, i would keep it as stock as possible, get the engineers and then put in the cage, etc. Though, most modifications would make it illegal again, but at least the car is engineered for the rb25det.
  24. I run a Wolf3d, also MAP sensor. This is common and is easily fixed by the tunner. With the wolf there is an area of the map that compinsates for the off idle throttle response. If you have touched the CAS then it is a good idea to get your mechanic/tunner to check the timming, if the stutter is still there after they adjusted the CAS, then the tunner should be able to easily tune it out. Just to clarify the problem: Have the car in nuetral, then stab the throttle (only 1/2 throttle required), as the engine comes off idle there is a slight stutter.
