  1. This is farked, the Police should have shut this down months ago I hope they imponded every car in the area!
  2. std t/b will not fit, you'll need an adaptor plate or get a Q45 t/b
  3. Oh that's the one at the front, that's for the air box.
  4. It's to allow hot air out, that's why it is positioned above the turbos; that's also why i like the bonnet i posted. Hot air rises
  5. Check the basics first b4 spending money on other stuff
  6. Jack the car looks awesome with the bonnet painted silver, nice move. :sorcerer: If i was to put a bonnet on my car, this is my favorite. It has all the vents in the right places; behind the radiator and above the turbo, manifold, etc.
  7. Check spark plugs; gap new ones to 0.8 . Any engine/ecu mods?
  8. Whole range of possibilities: - Low on fluids (attessa, hicas, brake, p/steering, etc) - worn p/steer pump/seals - worn bushes - Faulty sensors - etc
  9. I have a couple of theories: 1/ As Ash has just mentioned; just could be rootten timing and it was about to let go even b4 the exhaust was done. I had my std turbo set to 13psi full-time for one year and had no problems, but i was willing to play the game of "turbo russian roulette" . 2/ Easiest way to check if the exhaust was responsible, would be to disconnect the actuator from the wastegate flap, by removing the pin. Then check to see whether the flap has full motion and does not hit the exhaust. Should only take a few mins to check and will clear or condem the w/shop in question. I have also heard good things about Slide, but never used him myslef. Good Luck
  10. A friend has a set of silver ones for $800 f: 17 x 8 r: 17 x 9 Where fitted to a R33 Gts-t, so the offset will suit a 32. Located in Melb.
  11. So you where going to buy this car, keep it in storage for a few years, till you have gained enough experience to repair it? In you first post you stated: Then above you stated: Which tells me you wanted to learn how to fix cars using this wreck. Best way to learn would be through an apprenticeship. Then start off small and cheap, something like a datto, rx3, silvia, etc
  12. Getting mine replaced, hopefully the guy is honest and comes through.
  13. Pm'ed and called (left a message) Also located in Melb
  14. Agreed...........but some afm are not repairable and will need to be replaced.
  15. I'm posting it here not to ruin your gb. Mine was packed the same and the first 3 pics demonstrates the recieved condition of the poorly packaged item. Hope you don't get any dramas
  16. Yeah.....................all knock-offs are the same Little linishing and sanding will make it look ok.
  17. I bought one off ebay, actually the same one as posted above. Unfortunately it arrived damaged, most probably through the poor packaging and will be sent back to the supplier. So far he has been good about the whole deal, so lets see what happens. You get what you pay for. I was aware of the poor quality, as i have seen one on another car, at my mechanic's w/shop. I plan to linish and sand the outer surface to make it smoother b4 powder coating it. It should look pretty neat by the end of it. Below are the pics i took, to right a report to the seller.
  18. You are choosing the wrong type of damaged cars to learn with .This is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond a beginner's level for repair. Hell some people that have been in the trade for 10yrs may find this project a task and a half to complete properly. You need to find something with very minor accident damage
  19. This may not be relavent: Did you do the fig. 8's for 20mins, to bed in the diff?
  20. Well i have had my Kaaz for 6months and have changed the oil twice, each time with Kaaz oil. After each change the diff felt better. Mine only clunks at low speed (10-30km/h) round corners or round-abouts, but after 30min of driving it very rarely clunks.

    Rwc...

If it is not wired up/working just unplug it and remove the unit for the rwc.

    Evo X Prototype

That's what it was talking about, the nose is off the new GTR
  23. Questions: - You are modifying the slipperyness of the oil, thus the more slippery, the greater the force to lock and the less response from the diff? - Can this affect premature wear on clutch plates, as they are slipping more?

    Rwc...

Agreed. Well if you are sitting in your car, then they can't tell the differance between the tt being on or your keys in the ignition . It's never been legal; but i have never been pulled up on it, nor have i heard of anyone ever being pulled up on it.
  25. Pffft.............. As if i'm going to catch a train from my area to there and be on time Then i'll need to catch one back when i'll be too tired/pissed to walk/think.
