  1. What model are these seats? Any pics of the "ID tags"? Tried to find seat that looked like these on the Sparco web sites, but could not find ones that looked identical.
  2. It's not a Type M bodykit. But an aftermarket front bar and wing does not make it an Autech R33 GTST
  3. Send a PM to "Roy", i am fairly certain that he has changed the diff ratios in his 32. I have driven his car and it feels better than other 32's i have driven.
  4. Toyo R1Rs are simply awesome!!, but quality costs a fair bit more 245/40/18=$360ea approx. Well worth it though; when you have 320+rwkw driving through the rear wheels only

    Track Day :( ?

Not at the track training days They have reworded their policy. Shannons will only cover you if the training days are done to create road situations and improve your street driving skills. If you are doing full laps of the track or drift training, they will not cover you.

    Track Day :( ?

Track days are great fun, but can be very expensive. My nemesis is Calder Park Rwy. I use to work there, so i have been around the track a few times, but every time i did a proper track day it has cost me at least $7K 1/ Damp cold track, last session of the day/night, after turn one applied too much power too early, rear tyres hit the mud and all i could do was watch the ass end come round and hit the concrete barrier. 2/ Last session of the day (again), blew the engine; cracked the piston ring-lands in cylinder 3 The only reason these repairs have exceeded $7k is because i didn't just repair the damage, but used the damage to justify substantial upgrades Racing is expensive on normal days; tyres, brakes, fluids, wear & tear, etc. Add the misfortune of something critical going wrong, a fun day could go bad very quickly. All i say is if you love your car and really are keen to do track days, make sure you have some disposable savings, just in case of the worse scenario situation occurs.
  7. Nice pics and those rims suit the colour/car perfectly; has got me thinking to update mine Dean any chance you could state the make of rims, sizes and offsets? Also any spacers required to clear calipers and do you think they'll clear R33 GTR Brembos? Hamish the GOR cruise is a members only cruise; i am assuming Dean is not a SAU VIC member, as he doesn't have the tag.

KV2R34GT: Re-read my previous post, i actually highlighted the sentence you wanted answered. If my reply was not to your satisfaction, then oh-well move on. Someone that gets paid to do a job, then has the means to do the job properly (get a better price) but decides not to fulfill his obligations, due to personal benefits, should not get paid for the job....................simple On another note: i saw 4 more houses today, two of which i liked, so if i buy this particular property or not is not the issue. Either way i am still willing to help this lady, as her agents are not doing her property justice and i hate dodgy people that get paid to do a job and don't do it properly, for personal gain.

NO!! If the agent was honest and did his job i would never consider doing this. The fact that the agent stands to make $7k+ from selling this house, but is preventing genuine bids being made so that he could keep the sale of the property low, for his own gains, is not right. If law states he needs to get commission then so be it. But then i'll help the owner use the laws to get his agency fined and have him pay the penalty for his deception. I'm sure i am not the only one being prevented from making an offer, so all it would take is for the owner to legally obtain a copy of the "visitors list" and then the solicitors to contact each person and inquire if they had been interested in making an offer. My actual experiences and phone records are not "hearsay". Why should the seller take an offer that is clearly under market value???? I am actually willing to pay asking price, as i think it's very reasonable, so why should she accept anything under that? The plot thickens: Today there was a "open for inspection" for this property. I was considering taking my old man to view the property, so i called the agency to confirm the times (like i do every Saturday morning) and was told it was cancelled. Rang the owner and she stated she had not cancelled the open day. She then stated that her agent came to the property, put up the flag and sign, sat in his car for a few minutes, then removed the signs and drove off; without knocking on her door. A few minutes later she got a call from the agency stating that the "open for inspection" needs to be cancelled, as her agent is "sick"...................................i call BS!!
  10. At the time the Japanese automotive industry had a "gentlemans agreement" not to exceed 206ps. To date I am yet to see a STD r33 rb25 produce more than 270rwkw, using a HKS GTRS, on 3 independant dynos, like mine has done.

A little off the side track: If i make an offer on a property (not this one in particular), say $320,000, and the agent claims he had an offer for $340,000, but was rejected, can i ask to view the written offer? Just to make sure they are not BS and bumping up the price. There has been a few times that this has happened and i felt they were just BS. The latest one; i viewed a property that was advertised for $330k-$350k, after my inspection i thought "no way the property is worth that much", so i offered a low first offer of $315. He then stated that he had already been offered $340k, which i felt it was BS, because he never indicated the house was "under offer" and the $340k "offers" falls in the middle of the asking price.

EXACTLY! Also my phone records will show that i have contacted both agents at different times, after Saturday's "open for inspection".

Thanks Sarah Must have missed this post earlier. 1/ By contract i mean the contract between the agent and the owner to sell the property. Can she break this contract on the grounds that she has proof that the agent is not looking after her best interests. 2/ I have not named the agents publicly. Even so; my mechanic was publicly defamed, on another web site, and his solicitor advised strongly not to pursuit it as it is a public forum and the opinion of one person was posted.

If you could ask her about the first 3 questions, that would be ace.
  20. All help appreciated, but please state if you are in the real estate or legal business, as this would help further. The story: Last Saturday I went to an “open for inspection” at a property I found on Domain. After viewing the property I was pretty keen, so an hour after the open inspection closed I rang the agent and requested a 2nd viewing so that I could take my old man. The agent said that nothing could be done till Tuesday, as Monday was a P/H, and that he’ll contact the vendor and give me a call to confirm a time. So on Tuesday afternoon I decide to call the agent and find out what’s happening. He then advised me that his work partner had a couple go through the property, on Sunday, and had made an offer. I was pretty pissed off, and asked why he didn’t allow me the opportunity to view it on Sunday too. Got the beat around and was told that if the offer fell through he would call me. That night I decided to call his partner and see what happened and determine what the offer was and if I could place a counter offer. His partner wasn’t much help and wouldn’t give me any information about the offer and whether it was accepted, just saying that he would call if it fell through. I thought this was strange as I knew that other potential buyers could place offers until the moment the vendor signed the contract. This had been eating at me all week and I couldn’t get it out of my head why a real estate agent would not allow multiple offers to get the best price for the property. Also spoke to a few friends and they stated that maybe the agents had a personal interest for the property (ie: friends or family) and were trying to get it cheaper. So this afternoon I decided to go to the property and leave a note, with my details, explaining what had occurred and asking if the property was sold. Lucky for me the owner was at home and I could actually hear them speaking about the agents and property. I knocked, introduced myself and started to explain what has been going on. To say she was shocked/surprised is an understatement. She invited me in and we discussed what was going on, she had a feeling something was not quite right, as she had a few people look at the property and the only offer she received, through the agent, was from a person across the road. She also said that no-one had viewed the property on Sunday and that she had knocked back the two low offers (from the same person), as she knew what the property is worth, even though the agents tried to convince her to sell at that offer. I also haven’t been contacted by the agents to be advised that the offer has fallen through. During our chat I explained that the agents are not looking after her interests and are not trying to get the best price for her property. Therefore she should have grounds to void the contract, report the agents involved to Consumer Affairs and allowing myself to deal directly with her, thus saving $7k-$8k in commission to the agent. She gets the price she wants, I get it for a little cheaper. Questions: 1/ Can the contract be voided on the grounds that the agents are not trying to get the best price for the vendor and obviously have a vested interest? I’m sure there are some legal rights the vendor has in this area, especially when she has the backing of an independent person (me). 2/ Is there a means for the vendor to report these dodgy agents? 3/ What is the process to deal with the vendor directly? 4/ Anything else I should know/do? Thanks Alan

Thanks guys, i'm glad i'm not the only one that thinks that moron is a complete tosser. Sorry it had to come to that but i don't take lightly to idiots insulting my family. Too bad he couldn't fight his own battles and needed mates to back him up.
  22. Read the thread the differences have been listed and highlighted. Ash I don't see how bigger cams, bigger intake valves, solid lifters, etc, are designed to meet emissions.
  23. School holidays already?
  24. Until the very moment you lose control and wrap it round a tree. You mentality is very scary; feel sorry for your parents' eventual hardship, hope they don't have to suffer due to the results of your driving "experience".
