hi, do you have any sort of aftermarket bov?

hey croat, stay away from the cheap ebay/chinacopy stuff. you will have way to many problems with it not fitting correctly and the very high possable of it cracking in the near future. option 2/3 are you best bet. if you can find something like a low-mount cast-iron HKS manifold, buy it as its one of the best lowmount manifold around for an rb20/25 (only problem is that it is to suit an ext gate) $1200 is alot of money, and im guesing you could get a hks/trust/apexi one for around the same price but mostly it will be high-mount and to suit an ext gate. Ask the exhuast shop how much for the manifold, without fitting as it is a very easy job, and im sure you could pull it off yourself (if u got the tools and abit of time) which may save you a few dollars. Good luck and just remember you get what you pay for so stay away from the cheap crap hope that helps cheers mikey

from my understand, the yellow hoses is connected into the air intake for the turbo, correct? The reason for this is to give a more accuarted boost setting. you get the one reading from the intak manifold another from the turbo intake. i have seen this setup uses many times, so i dont think it is causing ur spiking problem

My r33 s1 rb25det, has a rev limiter of 7100rpm. secondly i dont see how if tacho read 7000/7100 is only reving to 6700-6800 also saying that if u shif up you will end up going faster isnt as ture as it sounds. the fact of the matter if u shift at the limiter would will be futher along in the next gear. i have drag many mid mod r33, (exhuast,fmic,airfilter the normal) and i have a Rb20 turbo on my car making farless as quick as a normal r33 would be with my mods and i can beat, keep up with them due to them shortshifting and me pushing all the way to the limiter (when i say shortshifting i mean they shift around 5500,6000rpm) just my 2cents dan22, have u block up the pipe in which the stock bov would plum back into the turbo intake? also try adjusting the screw on the bov; i had a hks bov for along time on my car with no stall problem

stock limiter is a fuel cut not ignition cut so im told but, when i had aftermarket bov i would bash the limiter hard and my car would pop HUGE flames

stock limiter around 7100rpm, im heard of people pushing it to 7500-7700rpm wit no problem thou like paulr33 said u wont make anymore power unless u got any aftermarket turbo

how much are you after for it and what is the fully list of mods?

edit... If we can get enough people, we should buy from japan. we can get full bodykits for r33 (b/n sport style for example) for $600 + shipping and if there is enough people shipping wont be too much. i have contacts with-in japan that can get us the kits etc, just need to work out ship..

if i remember right both 8 and 10cm and best suited for rb20, i guess if you want max power go 10cm and if u want alittle less power with alittle less lag go the 8cm. what other mods do you have...?

pauly, the 1st i heard about the event was here in this thread, i would have made an effort to have my car ready if i knew there was a drag event coming up

saw the preview last night, looks alright the Rock has done some ok movies so hopfully this one will be good. After doing some searching i found that the movie is base on DOOM 3, Earth loses contact with a Mars base etc etc... i think from a moive point of view that was the best place to start from as Doom 1 and 2 where kind of just earth + devil = shoot everything that moves I would like to have see a moive that scarys the crap out of me as did doom3 but i dont think i will hold my breath. might check the net and dl it, and if i like it might go see it at the movies!

i think this is an important fact: smaller items you can uses pretty much anyone (person which gives you the best price) buy for larger item you better off going to someone that does it for a living as shipping anything outside of jap which is big = big cost in shipping (for example for a front bar your looking at around the same price as the frontbar in shipping which doesnt really make it cheap anymore)
