hey Philmak Few people i know had full set of neons install on there cars, all of them got it done by pros costing around $100 to $200 (depends on how hard it is to install e.g if neons r 2 big) I dont think it will be that hard if you got the kit, i watch someone install neons and it doesnt look too hard, i say give it ago if you cant do it just head over to your local stero shop and im sure they will do it. note at the back the neon goes above the muffler, so really its not that hard, if ur having trouble due to aftermarket muffler size etc remove the rear bumper and it will make it easyer. Also with r32 im not sure but with r33 it seem like u can hide the tubes on the side like in the side-skirt hard to explain, but if u have alook at ur car u will be able to understand what i am saying. Power supply, cables etc arnt too hard to connect hide, and putting a switch inside the car is pretty easy also. Good luck and if you need anymore help just ask dont worry about another posts Thanks Mike ohh yeah and neons being illegal not sure about out-side of WA, but here they are legal as long as they are not FLASHING and you cant see the tubes, thou friends still have problems from the cops

hey steve maybe u will be able to help me out on this one, Lumpy said to me that the car was fine for running 0.6bar as daily driver and it won't be a problem but running on the dyno was dangour as it started to ping around the 4th 5000rpm mark. Now im confused  the car timing is stock (it has advance had it put back to stock) there is no boost spiking as im running a Profec Greddy EBC. Im guessing its the AFR: as it pretty high all dyno (looking at the print out) running near the 13.0 mark then starts to drop at around 5000rpm to around 12.5 and then about 5500rpm it starts jumping from 12.5 to high 12's  Now when i drive i never hear pinging (i know wat pinging sounds like after dc the was was spiking all over the place and had the time advance and the ping was very loud) Soooo im really confused  ps. sorry i whore my own thread paulyy wat time u going down...?

Steve, i was under the impression that the 6 throttle bodies flow much better and gave better responds. That was one of my main reason for the rb26head swap, or else i would have just got myself a greddy plenum and fmic.

Hey, Just wondering who is going to drag-wars, im going to stop my study for aday and head down see if i cant beat my 14.3 and not brake my clutch this time Maybe if a few of us SAUWA boys and girls are going down we come have a cruise there or something? Im guessing it will be like drag-combat so the later you get there the longer you got to wait to get ur car check... hopfuly with my chop springs out of the rear of the car, the car will not bounce around as much off the line mike

PTR33, my car doesnt have a stock turbo, the front is a vg20 which is much smaller than a stock r33 turbo, i have had the car dyno @ 0.6bar and it made 194rwhp, on stock boost it made 187rwhp, i ama running hks exhuast (cat-back), air filter, r34 gt-t cooler, bov and got ebc so plz dont say im kidding cuz im not, i have the dyno sheet to prove my 194rwhp

tj, i never said i was going for that amount of power or that was the reason for doing the swap. (i was just telling Roy wat i read in a mag) Scarifier, cheers for the reply, im not really looking for a hp figuer as such i would be happy with around 200 to 250rwhp (i cant even make that at the moment ) Im just looking for a different way to get power, high reving etc. i will admit my research into putting the head on was limited and i didnt think the cost would be as huge as steve mention. thanks everyone for replys mike
-
Roy, i was reading in a mag (forget the name) they had a issue about rb25 tuning and it basicly said the only weakest in the rb25 is that didnt flow as good as an rb26 in the higher-power range. so i guess at stock lvl the differences might not be that great... (guess ?) Something along those lines, i will try and find the mag and post up wat it said.

SLiM, basic "Sleeper" is any car which looks stocky on the outside (bodykit) but has "all the go" so lets say a GTR with stock bodykit and no-badges but running a GT51R turbo

Gradenko, the money for the project, has been save by me and my parent has nothing to do with giving me money towards it. I was told i didnt have to replace the ecu, so i through i might just grab an safc II and keep the stock ecu but if it is needed i will have to wait and factor in the cost. thanks again for the reply like i said in my 1st post, i am waiting till after my exam have finish (tee) so im just tring to get all the info now thanks mike

Steve, i was told this was not NEED, i could do it if i like but it didnt have to be done

hey steve, thanks for the reply, the reason i was going to do it as i already had a price quote for the rb26head and it wasnt a bad price. but cheers for the reply, helps to put things into place with price etc, im going to contact my supply again and make sure the price he gave me inc stuff like the turbos, plenum etc etc Gradenko, cheers for the reply too the reason for the rb26 was that it has part such as value springs etc and the rb25 does not have such parts, also the cost of parts for the 26 would be cheaper in the long run. also i would be able to increase the max rev the car could take. Im thread, it sound great and with my quote of price even better. i guess i will get a 2nd and 3rd quote just to make sure its right thanks steve and Gradenko mike

I heard it is very common to remove the HICAS System the whole thing and it takes of afar bit of weight
-
not sure, i know the ones which cost like $1000, $1500 arnt real cf they have like a layer of cf and then a layer of fiberglass which makes it weight around 5-7kg
-
ScarifieR, i have the money for the project already save; waiting for after exams when i have sometimes to look for the parts etc. So thats why i was asking for cheap shock and if you quote my next post i said not cheap shocks but some half alright but doesnt cost a heap, meaning something around the 1k mark. thankyou again for your reply, keep on with the constructive criticism as it is welcome

GTR4ever, i guess you could start with -cf bonnet and possible boot -Light Weight Rims -Remove stuff from boot I guess stuff like racing seat wouldnt do much in a gtr as they already look light
