  6. its official Alonso signs three-year Ferrari deal 30/09/09 16:43 The Alonso-Ferrari deal is confirmed Today Ferrari has announced a three-year deal starting next season with 2005 and 2006 World Champion Fernando Alonso. The confirmation of such an agreement has been widely expected for several weeks. Kimi Raikkonen, although his contract covered the 2010 season, will no longer be a Ferrari driver. "The Scuderia's driver line-up next season will therefore be made up of Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso, with Giancarlo Fisichella in the role of reserve driver," Ferrari's statement reads. Alonso will therefore leave Renault at the conclusion of the present season, having won both his drivers' titles and secured two constructors' championships with the French manufacturer's team. Although he described his years with Renault as being "fantastic" and wishes his soon-to-be former team the best of luck, it is no secret that the Spaniard has been eyeing a move to Ferrari for some time. "I am delighted and very proud to become a Ferrari driver," he said. "Driving for Ferrari is a dream for anyone who takes part in this sport, and today I am lucky enough to realize that dream." Alonso also revealed that the initial agreement established last summer planned for a move in 2011, not next year, but the situation changed over the last few days and the switch was brought forward to 2010. Ferrari was very keen to bring 28-year-old Alonso aboard, as it has long been obvious that both parties share a mutual interest. "We are very proud to welcome to our team another winning driver, who has demonstrated his amazing talent by winning two World Championships in his career to date," said Team Principal Stefano Domenicali. 2007 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen will complete the three remaining races of the season with Ferrari before making place for Alonso. "Of course, we wish to thank Kimi for everything he has done during his time with Ferrari: in his first year with us, he managed to win the Drivers' title, thus making his contribution to Ferrari's history and he played a vital role in our taking of the Constructors' title in 2007 and 2008," team boss Domenicali said, also pointing out Raikkonen's victory in Belgium this year in what is a difficult season for the team. "With common consent, we have agreed to terminate the contract binding me to Ferrari to the end of 2010, one year ahead of schedule," said Raikkonen. "I am very sad to be leaving a team with which I have spent three fantastic years, during which time I won plenty of races. Together, we have won 50% of the world titles in that period and I managed to take the Drivers' title in 2007, thus achieving the target I had set myself at the start of my career. "I have always felt at home with everyone here and I will have many happy memories of my time with the team," Raikkonen concluded. It is speculated that the Finn may return to McLaren, which shares with Ferrari the Spanish bank Santander as a sponsor. Santander reportedly played a major role in Alonso's arrival at Ferrari and contributed to Raikkonen's rumoured transfer back to McLaren. The announcement of Fernando Alonso's destination for the next few years should now open the vanes of the drivers' market, with a cascade effect leading to further driver confirmations from other teams in the coming days and weeks. http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news...930164339.shtml to be honest i was really starting to love Kimi style and attitude shame to see him go! but i also really like Alonso so should be awesome line up next yr for Ferrari lets hope they have the car!
  7. but what about the aliens dan?
  8. i think you find that on highway driving the civic should get closers to 600-700km to a tank but dan what happens if aliens attack those 7 - 8 petrol stations along the way what ever will he do serious post: i would just plan your route, then located all the towns along it and they should all have fuel stops. the only problem you MAY face is if you are leaving very early or very late. as i think you will find they may not be able 24hr ones in the bush
  9. if the weather is good i will be doing a ride Wednesday 12 leaving from curtin or friday 11am leaving from curtin. Let me know if your interested most likely do a river run finishing in freo have post this on psb too so if u need a shadow u might be in luck lol

  11. Kimi to Mclaren or so it looks http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news...920103457.shtml If this is true i can see alonso coming to Ferrari
  12. Tein Type RS are within your budget, i rate them very highly! and have no issue with them in my skyline when its hit the track http://www.tein.co.jp/e/products/super_racing.html also Ohlins are not that $$$ when you by direct from japan, when i get home i throw up a price And as Beer Baron mention most bike shop should be able to rebuild them if needed, as Ohlins Japan is very common for bikes and rated as one of the better shocks
  13. parts are not cheap, and if it is like any other euro car, once you have a fault light on the dash you will need to take it to a merc dealer for them to clear it
  14. yes the flange is the same 32/33/34
  15. i know some nice roads along the river got afew routes we can try out, also don't mind leading and can do no crn markers so just stop at major turns and regroup. also would be good if everyone know how to ride in a group e.g staggered riding

  20. north side nissan for the wheel studs, if they don't have any in stock they will be able to order them in (took them i think 1weeks for them to get the studs for me)
  21. lol... im sure you car would be going home on a back of a tow-truck if you said that, and by home i mean lockup yard lol
  22. only bought Karl kit not ryan. There are many case of the GT-RS making more power check out http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...GTRS&st=400 just because karl couldn't make more doesn't mean the turbo doesn't have the power the make more there are so many factors. HKS rates the turbo at 400PS, so 350rwhp seems like its very achievable
  23. why would i lie? I have bought in 2 GT-RS kits for SAUWA members, one during good exchange rate the other not so good. I know of one white s2 r33 tune by xspeed making 350rwhp @ 16psi if you like i can get him to post up his dyno sheet?
