  1. I'm looking for a Toyota Sprinter. The AE-86 model, preferably with a dead motor so me and my uncle can wack in a 20V 4AGE. It can be my daily car and then I'll go nutz on the R.
  2. If you have a Cat back exhaust, you may get away without having to change your old Cat. Just make sure it's big enough to fit the new front pipe. I guess if you have one made up locally, it works out cheaper than the HKS one. However, the HKS one is pretty much guarenteed to give you good HP. Still, go the locally made as the difference may be only minor.
  3. Just like Jerry Springer??? As if, he lets them fight it out on stage. JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!
  4. If anybody in Sydney in Sydney is looking to buy a Skyline, PM me and I'll give you the names of 2 shonky dealers which have screwed me over for a few bucks.
  5. Really depends on what you want. I chose stock because I wanted to understand what each modification did, and and what works and what doesn't. But if you just want a gutsy car, get a modded one and save the money. And like everyone is saying, all these cars have been thrashed. Any performance car has, after all, what else are they good for???
  6. Yeah Ric's specialty is rotories, but I had my old rex serviced there before. Also at MRT. Both good.
  7. Has anybody gone to C&V? Are they as good as CAS? How about Ric Shaws?
  8. Aussie delivered ones are twin turbocharged. Some import ones come non-turbo. In Japan they're called GTO. I've already lined on up and not even worth mentioning. Lightly modified WRX's are more of a challenge.
  9. Hehehe..... If he dragged you, he probably would've chewed through first gear!!!
  10. Ok, this is what I think of the race: 1. Looking at the camera shot when Montoya went over the strip, the front end went down first (under braking maybe), causing all the weight of the car to tip over forward. This caused the back end of the car to slide out as he was negotiating a right hander and taking Coulthard out in the process. 2. Bridgestone clearly have the advantage. Michelin are turning into slicks too quickly. Yes it does provide more grip, but only for a short period of time before they go. Did anyone see the tyres of Raikkonen after his pit stop? They were totally worn out. 3. I think Schuey could've beaten Rubens. After all, didn't he help design the circuit? Maybe for political reasons Ferrari chose not to overtake? 4. I think Coulthard should cool down a little. His antics after the accident make him look unprofessional. And that's coming from a Mclarens fanatic! 5. For Christ sake!!! Yoong is not a driver!!! He's just money!!! Webber doesn't even have to try to out qualify/race him. Give Ryan Briscoe a drive and he'll even out pace Yoong anyday!!!
  11. Who cares which one is more powerful. What matters is which ones has better games, and the gameplay. We're all car fanatics here, and you cannot go past GT3!!! However, GP4 is coming out on the xbox, but i'll save that one for the PC.
  12. Revheads here remember Outrun??? How about Crazy Cars? Kabab, Alex Kidd kicked ass so hard, I couldn't sit down for a month!!!
  13. I think if it's blue smoke, it's oil burning.
  14. I don't think so. I think Montoya's about due for a win again. Outside chance but hope Raikkonen can scrap a win here. One for him this year would be good.
  15. No decision has been made on Ferrari yet. I doubt he will lose the points he aquired as the FIA are more likely to fine Ferrari for the podium thing. If team orders are illegal, then they, and may other teams will have been screwed over before. Rubens cannot ignore the call to move over. It's written in his contract. However, Ralf was told to move over for Montoya, which he said he couldn't hear because of radio problems. Understand that Rubens cannot simply ignore the call because it could be his job on the line. I hate team orders myself, but it's always been apart of F1.
  16. I read somewhere that Toyota are interested in his services. A much better team than Jaguar. Though Coulthard has been linked to Toyota also. Irvine talks to much. He should talk less and race more, after all, F1 is about racing, not politics.
  17. Clunky sound when the piston is moving. Power loss.
  18. Shell, I'm at Wakefield next Thursday from 9 till 4 if your interested.
  19. I find E/C more exciting than Wakefield. Although I'm not finished with Wakefield yet, it leaves me wanting more. After a session at E/C, I can contain my frustration in the car for a month or so. I still want to do Oran Park though...
  20. Whatever number on the dyno, you'll have to go into the fast car group next time we're out at the creek...
  21. I brought the EBC from Croydon Austosports. They told me that the green stuff was good enough for the track. I can't remember but some other dealer also said they were great. Anyway, I told them maybe I should go the red stuff, but they assured me green was good enough for a few sprints around the track. Yes I did warm them up properly and they felt great for a while until they faded and never came back. The pads now are just about to go so next I'll try a set of Endless, the $500 ones, and see how they go. For the money you pay for the Race brakes ones, their pretty good. About $150 I think.
  22. I had a lightened flywheel in my WRX and yes acceleration does improve. But, it's a real pain to drive around the city. You lose out on bottom end torque. Very good if you get it out on the track cause you can keep the revs up easily.
  23. Got a set on my car and their better than the EBC Green stuff on the track. They are harsh on the rotors I must say. Also a fair amount of dust too. But I love them. Won't forgive EBC cause they failed me on the track after one session and paying so much for a pair.
